Okay, I read them all and I understand, to some extent, but how does this affect my gameplay? Should I assume my netdecks are going to be adjusted by the owners and I should get ready to powder the nerfed cards and pay for replacements? Should I keep playing them as they are? (Do any of you want to know which cards affect me before answering this question?)
I've only been here since last February, so this is my first sitting of the Nerf Committee. (Also, what's the etymology of the term "nerf"? Like "scruffy nerf herder"? Can't be because of nerf weapons...those are fun.)
Nerf came from the game Ultima Online, after the developers reduced the damage melee weapons did. Players responded by saying it was like they were hitting eachother with nerf bats.
As for the cards, a lot of these nerds aren't making a lot of changes. You could disenchanted them for now, if we do get to disenchanted them for their full value. The cards that will likely be removed from their respective decks will be force of nature as it doesn't work in the combo is used too.
If you look online for most of your decks, then you might as well wait a but until players have really decided which cards are best used in various decks.
Personally I'm going to keep them all, but that's because I like to keep all my cards. Never know when some might become useful.
They made a lot of cancerous cards that have run rampant through hearthstone since closed alpha suddenly really terrible. A lot is about to change and it is a GLORIOUS new day.
Even when you're exploring decks online, you should be actively considering which cards you want, especially after playing it a little. With the upcoming expansion especially, you'll be having and seeing a lot of new archetypes. The old decks are almost certainly not going to get updated, I'd recommend looking at the newer lists and just experimenting with what seems to work on your end.
Generally speaking, if a deck isn't summoning tokens, cut knife juggler. Force of Nature is now a body minion rather than a clear or combo piece, leper gnome is now more of a synergy card (is your deck going for really fast board or for face? Face shaman might still use it, face druid might not, and now it's absolutely not gonna be anywhere else). Don't look at Rogue until after the expac, all of their decks were based on flurry and that change was a long time coming. Avoid molten decks likewise, they'll be functioning very differently. Stuff like that. Try to get a thorough feeling for how all the cards are working together, and adjust with the changes. Lists as of the patch (hearthpwn sorts by patch) will be using the new versions of cards, so no worries there.
Also, when there's a nerf, cards cost the same to disenchant as they cost to enchant, so a lot of the cards that got nerfed may be valuable disenchant targets, just don't touch them yet.
Existing decks on the forums will be updated or fade away. Fortunately each deck lists the era in which is was last updated. Look at my decks for example, most of them are unplayable crap from GvG and before.

Yes, maybe, and no.
Some cards like Ancient of Lore and Force of Nature, unless you like druid a lot, can probably be dusted. That 400 dust will be really valuable with an expansion just around the corner. However, I'd probably keep Leper Gnome and Ironbeak Owl, as those cards will still see play. Netdecks will definitely change now that 12 classic cards that saw large amounts of play (well except that one but we don't talk about it) are worse. Knife Juggler will likely still see play, so I wouldn't dust him, but... if you like aggro, handlock or druid, then things will definitely change.
And Rogue is the worst class in the game unless WotOG gives them god tier cards in the next reveals.
Ancient of Lore (just play azure drake) Big Game Hunter (use naturalize instead. No, just kidding, just don't play druid) Blade Flurry (erm... no substitute... but maybe rogue isn't dead, I like some of the new cards, they point to a value path) Arcane Golem (dead as dead can be, from a sometimes used card to utter garbage)
The rest is either debatable or can still fit in some decks.
I would definitely say dust absolutely everything that is being nerfed when you can, aside from maybe 1 BGH, if you have it.
The reason why I say this is because card nerfs rarely happen, and they offer the opportunity to get an amazing amount of dust (especially if you have a golden version) that you can then use on different cards that will probably replace them in terms of being extremely powerful. Dusting the nerfed cards has no downside as you can just as easily craft them with no dust lost as Blizzard temporarily changes the disenchanting cost to be equal to its crafting cost. In addition, since you can still get Classic packs from Tavern Brawl and occasionally from Arena, there is a chance that you will get those nerfed cards that you dusted back eventually.
However, the reason why I say maybe keep 1 Big Game Hunter if you have it is because the nerf it recieved is substantial, but hasn't necesarily killed it, at least in my opinion. Also, since most decks we will be seeing after WoG releases have a decently large chance that they will have 7+ attack minions, it might be an important tech card. Additionally, it is an epic rarity card, meaning it is fairly difficult to get that specific card again.
That being said, once WoG comes out, if BGH doesn't seem to be needed in most cases, then go ahead and dust him for the bonus cost.
I hope this helps! If you have any specific questions or want to talk about this more, feel free to send me a message.

Just dust them after the patch not before. Don't be like that one guy who already dusted everything. And if Druid is a shot in the gut, Rogue is a shot between the eyes

These nerfs are amazing, probably the best thing that has ever happaned to the game.

I primarily play Druid and Priest, so all those Druid nerfs were a shot in the gut. O.o

Both Hybrid Druid (the version I play) and Kolento's Druid play Ancient of Lore and Azure Drake. Thoughts?
Other cards that affect me:
I thought Owl made a difference, too, but I guess I got rid of the deck that was playing it. So I guess it's just those four.
If you/Nayr/everyone replying to this thread help me swap out the cards that I have that are getting nerfed, I will happily powder them post-patch.
Best changes ever....for Control Warrior, Freeze Mage, and Handlock (BGH nerf, have fun with the early mountain giants they won't carry any risk now).
