Big Game Hunter represents an inexpensive source of removal that is packaged with a minion. It’s efficient enough that some Heroes with powerful Class-based removal cards choose to run the neutral Big Game Hunter. We’re increasing the cost of the card from 3 mana to 5 mana.
Hmm...I don't know - it's a decent nerf, but really most of us in the community expected the whole "destroy a minion" aspect reworked. When new cards come out, people will still be spamming "dies to BGH".
Hopefully this is enough to deter resounding play.

Yes, this is balanced, this was kinda what I had expected. It's now about at the power level of Harrison Jones: a conditional destroy effect with subpar stats. BGH's effect is stronger, since every deck can run 7 atk minions (and they might be more prevalent now) and minions have a bigger impact on the game than weapons, but that's why Jones has 1,5 mana more on stats. 2 health is no problem for BGH, since it's about the battlecry. It's actually comparable to Assassinate too now and think the requirement is in line with the board development, since 2 health is not bound to stay anyway.

I'm just another one of those. You know, those who do things. Things that need to be done by those that do these things in order to do those things that don't do these things themselves. Has the word 'things' lost meaning to you already?
GG Blizzard, so all the higher cost cards that don't have immediate effects still never see the light of day.....so glad things are "changing" this upcoming season. You're the worst ever Blizzard. I couldn't possibly be more disappointed with these "changes".
What a half assed nerf this does nothing to stop it's "unhealthy" design. It's still going to be playedand it's still going to discourage people from playing big dudes.
Big Game Hunter is receiving a nerf!
I didn't have a signature so Flux added one for me.
I am happy. Still the same effect. Not great, but good enough.

Well... Many people say the 5 mana slot needs help so.... GJ Blizzard.

I'm very satisfied by this nerf.
The effect itself is still very important. SO MANY big minions coming with WoG, you can rely only on class hard removal, not enough.
But now, it's not a huge tempo swing. 5 is a good price. Good job blizz.
Always Squelch.

[Game] Name another card that has the same...
it's a deserved nerf, now the card will be more of a tech card than "just throw it there you don't lose anything anyway".
if greedy decks will be a thing it will still see play.
I would say still playable
Paying 5 mana to destroy a 12/12 Deathwing, while maintaining a 4/2 on the board, still seems like good value to me.
Busting Open Card Packs!
The game needs a card like this so a nerf that doesn't destroy the card is good
I think it's ok.. They couldn't remove BGH from the game because it has a unique role in the game.. costing 5-mana isn't that bad..
I really like this nerf, still having a tech card against big dudes but not gaining as much tempo anymore.
Whoever designed Jade Idol and thought it was a good and healthy card for the game has clearly never played HS.
don't play >=7 atk minion... pay no heed about this...

It's fine, it's now in line with other removal options. I wish they had bumped Execute to 2 mana too... ah well.
i can still 1 copy being played in control decks.
Don't see why it had to be nerfed but mmmkay. I Guess it doesn't matter.
It's still Assassinate that gives a free 4/2 body it will still see play.
