Eh, not a good enough nerf imo. Any deck that currently runs BGH will probably still include it. Maybe one or two will drop it for a class spell removal instead but thats about it.
Dr. Boom not longer in standard - Even more of a reason to not bring this card
Molten Giant Only around for niche Lock decks - RIP
Atm, C'Thun (and to a lesser extent Ragnaros, Lightlord) seam to be the only compelling reasons to consider BGH in standard, but in the case of C'Thun you are probably dead to the battle cry.
New control deck bombs like Call of the Wild or the warrior C'thun card dodge BGH, shaman is likely to be spell heavy and druid lost a lot of it's decent cards.
I am not sure on this one. Hard removal is too good, especially with all the 10 mana legendarys coming around. I still think this card will be in too many decks. But let's see.
Thay didn't destroy this card like other cards. But anyway, this little guy will still be able to detroy The Ancient One. That's unfair. They didn't destroy the threat to many big cards like they wanted to. It will still block some of their creations, sth like that devs said.
Those who say "still be played" are entirely missing the point. This isn't meant to make BGH unplayable, but to put it in line with other safety valve style cards.
It's like Harrison Jones, if you play Harrison Jones and your opponent doesn't play any weapons you feel bad playing a 5/4 for 5, but if you manage to get value off him you're excited. Harrison Jones prevents weapons from being insanely dominant, but his cost point is enough, and value-less impact low enough, that you don't want to run him in a world where weapons aren't around very much.
BGH now feels AWFUL if you don't get value. A 5 mana card that trades down with almost all 1/2 drops and doesn't trade up easily? That's absurdly bad. That said, the tempo swing you get is still pretty damn enormous if you managed to get the value BGH, so if big minions are running wild it's something that a deck can tech in. But that's the point, they need to TECH IT IN, not just include it by default. It should be a choice, and a sacrifice. Unless big minion decks are rampant, this will not be worth putting in your deck because it's just going to sit in your hand or die uselessly.
Hmm...I don't know - it's a decent nerf, but really most of us in the community expected the whole "destroy a minion" aspect reworked. When new cards come out, people will still be spamming "dies to BGH".
Hopefully this is enough to deter resounding play.
I think it's good. The tempo swing that you got from a 3 mana 4/2 while destroying a big minion was the problem. Now the classes with weak removal can still run BGH for big minions but they won't get the absurd tempo swing the card provided before. It's still alright and will see some play but not everywhere anymore so it's a good nerf
I was afraid of serious nerf, like change battlecry to "kill dragon" how someone said, but mana cost 5... Let's be honest, it's effect still worth using this card even with increased mana cost
GG Blizzard, so all the higher cost cards that don't have immediate effects still never see the light of day.....so glad things are "changing" this upcoming season. You're the worst ever Blizzard. I couldn't possibly be more disappointed with these "changes".
Votes are 3:1 against you on this card, so... sorrynotsorry?

That's reasonable nerf, like it.
This is great nerf actually, gj blizz.

Still very strong card. Card design is awful and this change is not enough.
Good, I was afraid the effect would be tweaked. BGH would see play even if costed higher, worded like this.
5 Mana BGH - Good Nerf

Amazing work.
BGH wont be a Huge tempo swing anymore, nor can it be played for the stats alone.
I love it.
This isn't nearly enough.

Will keep both I suppose.
Woot! At least 1200 dust gain for me!

was expecting a bump to 4 mana and some stat change, maybe some rework on the wording also...still, 5 mana is fair
If evolution is outlawed, only outlaws will evolve.
still a usable card. I'll keep it.
WORKS FOR ME.
I'm here to kick ass and play cards, and I'm all out of ass.
I'm just glad they didn't destroy the card altogether.
Can't wait to see the new meta with this fucker at 5 mana (not sure about the effect still)

Have no idea what english is since 1996 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
