Rogue will be fine. It has dominated Arena for quite a while now and will continue to do so. It also got some amazing cards in Whispers for those who choose to venture away from the massive burst combo mindset.

Freeze Mage is oh so interactive and very stoppable… I mean they totally play minions… Alexstrasza, Doomsayer, Thaurissan… much minion, such interaction, Astonishing.
I'm not a fan of freeze Mage, either, but it's a much easier deck to beat. Kill or silence the Doomsayer, and you win -- which, incidentally, is a form of interaction, unlike sitting helpless as I watch a Rogue buff up a weapon and unleash it to clear my board AND deal massive face damage all in one turn. Freeze mage does those things one at a time, slowly, so you at least have a chance to respond.

What the hell is that logic? Freeze mage runs Blizzard, Flamestrikes. And you say you can interact with it more than rogue? Freeze mage does things slowly? I really doubt that you've played against a freeze mage. Freeze mage just kills you in one turn with burn spells... and you talk about flurry... Wth?
Considering they are trying to really push rattle rogue which is like Zoolock if it were shit... Most rogue Players are pissed off specifically because we play rogue for the combo decks and now it just seems we are getting screwed over. Honestly after the BF nerf got announced I haven't really felt the need to play again. What's the point if the only archetype I enjoy is gonna sceize to exist
Not to be mean or harsh, but if the only archetype you enjoy is one that Blizzard considers unhealthy for the game, you're absolutely right -- you have no reason to play Hearthstone. What they want it to be and what you want it to be are just too different.
No offense taken I actually kinda meant it the same way. I might also be overreacting to the BF nerf, have to wait and see for standard.
Just hilarious that this was too powerful board clear. It was almost the only board clear for rogue. Mage has tons of board clear.
Flamestrike in 1 card deal 4 to the entire board while you need weapon+ 2 cards to deal 3 damage to the entire board with rogue.
How do you win with rogue now?
While I do somewhat agree, I don't think we should be comparing the classes like that. Druid doesn't really have board clears either and they are still mighty strong.
So, after a few day this Nerf had been announced, I am still eating salt even in my dream, do u guys feel the same? I think c'thun see potential in rogue class, but really minion deck just doesn't feel right with this class either.
are we able to do a riot? Can we gather all the support from everyone who deem that this card need to be rebalance. Like a post that get over 1000+ upvote here or at blizz forum, or mass community not playing rogue at all (I believe they can capture the statistics of player in games using what hero and what card?)
I have enough of,
"wait, wog expansion is only half way, they might have good card in store for rogue."
"Ben brode: I am excited to see what rogue player can come out with (pre-LOE)"
"Design team: blade flurry is a card that limit our card design for rogue."
"Wait, the next expansion will be better, u have not seen it all."
Waint untill it gets released, stop judging too prematurely you never know what it could happen. Kappa
I think if they gave Rogue a good weapon in the expansion it wouldn't seem so over the top. As it stands though it does't seem like rogue has a viable archetype when standard rolls through. Oils gone and the Malygos miracle style deck seems unplayable without flurry. Dog was working on an old school charge, shadowstep, cold blood, faceless combo. Maybe that will see some play.

Once again you prove your ignorance... But, yeah.... who really cares about playing HJ or ooze if rogue sucks anyways... The only reason oil got wins in recent/yet current meta is because people didn't tech against it. So, to paraphrase ''but it's much easier deck to beat'' destroy the buffed weapon with ooze or jones ''and you win -- which incidentally, is a form of interaction, unlike sitting helpless as'' you watch Alex taking half of your health with no fkin effort whatsoever, no prep, no draw, no sap or evis on taunt, simpy out of blue...
If I put two oozes and HJ in every deck, I would be destroyed against every other deck in the meta, so that's not realistic.
Besides that, rogue has infinite weapons. The minute I run out of weapon removal and let you keep one for a turn, you do the whole combo IN ONE TURN and it's game over. Freeze mage seldom has the firepower to kill you on the Alezstrasza turn unless they got very lucky with Thaurissan. (Another condition Rogue didn't need.)
Call me ignorant, but I'm still able to enjoy the game. Sorry your dreams are crushed by the nerf bat.

Ben Brode said on his stream yesterday they nerfed it (and I'm paraphrasing here) because every Rogue deck was essentially a Blade Flurry deck. I can't really argue with that.....Oil and Maly just make Flurry better but its been the win condition for the class.
The problem I have and everyone else does is they removed the strongest card in a Tier 3 class and the replacements just aren't good enough to compensate or do not fill the needs of the class.

Yeah, that's just poor logic on his part. He's right about it being in every deck, but you can't just take the backbone out of a class like that and give them nothing to compensate. I understand that it needed to be changed for the future's sake but it didn't have to be mutilated like it was. I've moved on from being salty about it to just plain disappointed, I thought they finally figured out what they were doing with Rogue after LoE, but this proves they've learned nothing.
Opponent does Tinker's Sharpsword Oil x2 + Blade Flurry for 14 damage to face AND a board clear for 10 mana. Come Tuesday, aside from Tinker rotating out of Standard, not only would the damage to my face be cut in half, but such a combo would cost 12 mana without a Preparation. This is the kind of thing Blizzard wants to, and succeeded in, nerfing. Even if I would have survived the 14 damage (on top of the damage from his minions on board), my board would have been gone as well. GREAT change.

10 mana ? the weapon comes free ? pls examine your own maths. Also the face dmg is not guaranteed given many taunt minions which you can used to "get around it". Blade furry is a AOE spell and not intended for face dmg like Druid combo.
also 2 oil stuck the hand is almost 80% a death sentence to rogue before turn 10 against most deck anyway...

Oh god you mean it's possible for Rogue to win a game? Let's nerf that shit right now

Exactly. I'd be kinda okay with the nerf if they actually gave us something in return, like a powerful weapon or a different board clear.

this logic from ben.... Every mage deck has fireball, every warrior deck has execute, every paladin deck has truesilver, consecration and so on. Sure they aren't the same as BF but cmon give us good explanation.. ;)
The Hearthstone dev team is not in the business of sensible explanations. "The technology isn't there" and "The soul of the card" would like a word with you.
Why is Blizzard so heavy-handed with their nerfs? I can see removing the hero damage or upping the cost, but both? It's like they regret even making some of these cards in the first place and just completely obliterate them so everyone will forget they exist.

This was totally unneeded. Rogue was barely played lately
