They could have changed the effect of Blade Flurry but kept at 2 mana and it would have been just fine. They WAY overnerfed it. The only weapon buffs Rogue have in Standard are Deadly Poison and the 2/1 pirate. Most of the time Blade Flurry will be an expensive Arcane Explosion. In order for it to become Flamestrike/Consecration comparable, you have to invest a second card which is bad for tempo and value.

there is also a new 4 mana pirate that buff the weapon.....
Maybe if Rogue actually finds a spot in the meta, I'll stop being so pissed, but I'm worried Rogue is just going to fade away (or turn into the next Zoo class, which would fucking suck).
One last hope that I have is that all the sticky minions that create problems to Rogue are exiting the standard mode. On the other hand, Face Shaman lost basically nothing and Face Hunter looks stronger because of all the heal loss now. Maybe we can maintain the tempo on board and include sth like a Reno as a mass heal, due to face-tanking minions? Or some taunts? I don't know man.

On a serious note, I believe that this is a mismanagement from them. Since they didnt have a weapon or a massive weapon buff this expansion, they could have left BF as it was (or at most nerf just the face damage as jbagels says) and revisit the card in another expansion. The fact that they limit the class options and playability because they maybe (for us) create sth in the future is a loss of credibility. They just need to be a little more flexible with their actions.

I can see why they didn't do this; they definitely didn't want to drag out the transition to standard format. If they nerfed it later, people would just complain that flurry wasn't a problem before, so why are they nerfing it now?
Bloodlust and Aggro Shaman will definitely be very strong this coming meta aggro will not be died. I'll be running Bloodlust Shaman deck 100% to start that infuse card is just to crazy.
They are just doing same shit treatment to rogue as they did to every class in WOW. Making all classes similar and just play some minion curvestone.
That is honestly not the goal. The true goal (and one that I think is worthwhile) is to curb non-interactive combos that are impossible to play against. Oil and Flurry may have been great fun for the Rogue, but they were not fun for anyone else. This is not simply because they made the Rogue win, but because they made the Rogue win in a way that could not be played around or avoided.
Anytime you have a foolproof win condition that involves nothing more than collecting several combo pieces and playing them in the proper order, you can expect a nerf. Blizzard has stated on multiple occasions that this is a play style they want to actively discourage. If you look at the history of nerfs over the past year or so, you'll see that this is a clear pattern.
Rogue still has a clear identity with its focus on efficient single-target removal, weapon buffs, card combos, coins and thievery. I cannot imagine playing a Rogue will ever feel anything like playing any other class.

I agree and disagree with this.
The Blade Flurry nerf gave us the ability to get weapons that we couldn't get because of the OTK ability. If we had a Death's Bite, it could be bursted for up to 20 damage.
OTK is the most overhyped term in the game. Combo's are fine, but there is a fine line between what is acceptable and what is not. Force / Roar was unacceptable because it was a 2 card combo and easy to get since you ran 2 each and only needed 1...50% chance to get the combo by turn 12. There are other 14 damage combos but they require more cards which to me is acceptable. Leeroy Jenkins plus 2 Cold Blood is the same damage, but you have to find 3 unique cards for that combo, (33% chance by turn 12) which isn't going to happen every game.

Foolproof win condition? You're kidding right? Rogue does not have anything close to a foolproof win condition. It does limit design space but they should have received other cards that made the class at least semi viable. They destroyed the rogue archetype and didn't give them a replacement, destroying the class as a whole at least until the next expansion. Sure, they have good early game removal but that's it. Compared to broken cards from other classes that doesn't do anything.

Considering they are trying to really push rattle rogue which is like Zoolock if it were shit... Most rogue Players are pissed off specifically because we play rogue for the combo decks and now it just seems we are getting screwed over. Honestly after the BF nerf got announced I haven't really felt the need to play again. What's the point if the only archetype I enjoy is gonna sceize to exist

The only problem is that we didn't get any weapons AT ALL and also no AOE. I agree the nerf was necessary, but not he mana increase and also not if they are't releasing something to replace it.

Ms. Alexstraza, what about turn 9 (same as combo druid) and dropping an 8/8 dragon with battlecry deal 15 damage to opposing hero? Only 1 card, and freeze mage runs a ton of card draw so can usually get this piece. Meanwhilie freezing the board everyturn and playing doomsayer as its only minion beforehand. Oh and as if 15 damage with 1 card and a 8/8 body wasn't enough, there is another 15 waiting next turn and ice block to make sure mage gets that next turn.
Nerf combo, nerf blade flurry, nerf arcane golem, yeah nerf big burst damage. Yet leave Freeze mage intact and infact buffed due to the nerfs (BGH and combo druid and rogue), seriously wtf!? Don't like big burst and don't like non interactive decks, don't like decks that are not fun to play against...yet make free mage god tier!?
Kripparrian, Kibler, Trump are all shocked that Alexstraza wasn't nerfed. It isn't consistent at all with the other nerfs.

Not to be mean or harsh, but if the only archetype you enjoy is one that Blizzard considers unhealthy for the game, you're absolutely right -- you have no reason to play Hearthstone. What they want it to be and what you want it to be are just too different.

fool-proof win condition ? not fun for anyone else ? then why we never see so much rogue in the meta ?
i assume you say secret paladin is the deck with the "most fair" win condition and it is "damn" fun to play against... that why they are everywhere.

If blizzard feel like Hearthstone is unhealthy because of 1/9 classes is not based around curving out best with minions and have an alternative playstyle, and they push the last out of 9 classes to become minionbased (which they have done), then screw them really
They have said it over and over, many times. Yes, they want Hearthstone to be minion based. I can't believe how many people are acting surprised and butt-hurt about this. How did you not see this coming? Ben Brode very literally told you -- told everyone -- he doesn't like combos that are basically unstoppable and not interactive. You should be thankful this card lasted as long as it did.

Rogue's identity was Combo and zurging down your opponent. Sure blade flurry should have been nerfed but they absolutley murdered it. Right now Rogue is a dead class because they destroyed blade flurry. I don't know why you hate rogue so much but it's clearly obvious that Rogue is gonna suck dick in Standard and Wild.
So, after a few day this Nerf had been announced, I am still eating salt even in my dream, do u guys feel the same? I think c'thun see potential in rogue class, but really minion deck just doesn't feel right with this class either.
are we able to do a riot? Can we gather all the support from everyone who deem that this card need to be rebalance. Like a post that get over 1000+ upvote here or at blizz forum, or mass community not playing rogue at all (I believe they can capture the statistics of player in games using what hero and what card?)
I have enough of,
"wait, wog expansion is only half way, they might have good card in store for rogue."
