They nerfed rogue into oblivion. Any viable archtype now is firmly in t3 or 4 with this change. WTF blizz, how does knife juggler, a card nearly universal in aggro decks, get only a drop of 1 stat and bladeflurry, the only card that made rogue a viable class, get a freaking DOUBLE nerf of removal of face AND 2 mana which is the equivalent of removing 4-5 stats! Seriously overkill. The card, which was integral to the class's ability to compete with other classe, is now only usable in grindy control versions of rogue and even then it's not good. It's just their only option for AOE. No idea where you are taking the class, but as of right now raptor rogue isn't going to compete with other decks.... smh so triggered right now.
Say they would have changed to only effect minions like you suggested. You would still have either 2 mana cost whirlwind +1extra damage or 3 mana cost 2card combo that is hellfire + 3extra damage without hitting your own face or minions.
I mean thats how ridicolously op this card was.
edit: actually its not like hellfire let me think what i could compare it with:)
I think you're all over-reacting. Dagger + Deadly Poison is still a totally acceptable play for rogue on turn 3. Following it up with a turn 4 "damage everything your opponent has for 3" is also still totally acceptable. It's more in line with cards like lightning storm or shadowflame right now. Hell, it's still strictly better than lightning storm if you want to think about overload and mana costs.
The old version was absolutely obscene. It basically gave rogues windfury and board damage for a turn. It was strictly better than consecration for half the mana cost, and represented damage that you could not defend against without a card like Loatheb - which is going away in standard.
The nerf was also necessary to allow blizzard to make better weapons or weapon-buffing cards for rogue. Do you remember Poisoned Blade? Blade Flurry is the reason Poisoned Blade sucks. That was the BEST weapon Blizzard could make with Blade Flurry hanging around.

You're just taking into account that we have a dagger up on those turns (aka turn 2 BF does nothing). You need to plan this + load your deck with specific cards that also make use of your hp.
I can understand that they nerfed the card because it was limiting their design space of adding better cards to Rogue (though that's still a bit open for discussion) but I dont accept that the card was crazy OP compared to other class cards/decks.
That is true i assume that second turn do nothing thing for granted. as this kind of happens 99% of the time when we play against rogue anyways:) its like default.

Exactly that man. That's why Rogue is so broken in this meta now:)

Gimmicky effects work great in control decks that can swing tempo with a clear or have enough damage mitigation to not worry about the early game. Right now Rogue isn't that class.
Mostly, I hope they maintain the soul of the class; which is the ability to swing the tempo by using multiple combos in a turn with cheap spells supported by quality minions.
Folks, the wait is over, Blade flurry nerf beyond grave and no weapon to compensate. No AOE for board clear as well, spot a miniature-fireball with conditional play (likely only for minion damage). Good luck people!

I hate playing rogue, but that must have hurt. Twice the mana cost for nerfed effect is absolutely overkill.
marigolds are pretty much in love, but he doesn't mind

Little too bit of a nerf based on how shaky the class is. If the nerf was either one of both changes, it might be acceptable. 2/10

Totally agree, keep it at 2 or leave the text the same and make it more expensive (4). Doing both seems like the nerf-hammer had windfury.

I HATE YOU BLIZZARD!!! making the only aoe for an underplayed class unplayable. Rogue now has NO AOE. Awesome my favorite class sucks even more now

They will still be top class in arena. You win some you lose some.
A few hours until we see the true fate of Rogue. I'm expecting a heal and a replacement for Blade Flurry. If not the cards released this set are a waste. Undercity Huckster, Xaril, Poisoned Mind, Thistle Tea, and Shadowcaster are all under statted cards with a gimmicky effect.

Man. It's like being blindsided by your girlfriend when she asks for (design) space. Then you realize it's a friggin' breakup.
Welp guess my two golden ones are going to become a legendary
They didn't nerf the card. It's basically unplayable now might as well just remove it.
7 mana for a 3 damage aoe that requires 2 cards to combo. F$&k that!! I'd rather have flamestrike
