The problem was just that it was an auto include in every Druid deck, and having cards that are auto includes are problematic, especially when Standard comes out.
So when are the fireball, fiery war axe, grommash, rockbiter weapon nerfs coming? Auto include is a poor reason, cause every class has auto include cards.
Grommash is run in most Warrior decks but not all Patrons use him. Rockbiter isn't run in Midrange Totem Shaman 100% of the time. When a card is both good (even if not great) and an auto include, it limits decks that can be built with that class.
Well, Spellbreaker is much better for silence compared to Keeper in mid-end game because it is much more treat with 4/3 stats. The profits of Keeper is its versatility, as it can act as perfect antiaggro card with its 4 body and 2 damage, so this is nerf for antiaggro play only. If zoo and facehunt become unplayable in Standard we will just use 1-2 Spellbreakers in deck and that will not be worser.
Too much, even if within the context of cheap silence nerf.
Keeper already costed 4, so it has never been a cheap silence. It already have crippled stats for having silence possibility.
Yes, choice is very powerful for Keeper, often 50-50, but 2/2 is ridiculously low for a 4-mana drop. 2/3 or 1/4 would have been better and more fair, given also that druid is not a burst class anymore and needs bodys to stay on the board.
Very bad nerf.. Card might still be played.. It should have been a 2/3 for 4 mana or a 2/2 for 3 mana(might be a 2/1 or 1/2 as well) the last one will be a better anti aggro tool.. It is a class card after all..
This card stills strong after the nerf. Effect is absolutely gorgeous, I never played him for his body anyway, he is so versatile and that's what makes him so good.

marigolds are pretty much in love, but he doesn't mind
I am sorry druid player get this card nerf so badly. would have been a better nerf if its 2/3 instead of 2/2. however this card can still be a tech card since it kept its flexibility, 2 damage against aggro deck, silence against control deck.

I don't really understand how that is a problem, I mean what mage deck doesn't have a Fireball, or Paladin have a Truesilver Champion? Especially when standard comes out. I mean what Hearthstone deck doesn't run Dr. Boom? Only a small hand full. Most hunters run Animal Companion or Savannah Highmane regardless if it is completely Face, Aggro, Mid-Range or Control. There are staples in every class in hearthstone. Out of all the auto includes I would not have thought that Keeper of the Grove would be in need of a nerf.
A lot of Secret Pallys don't run Truesilver. Face hunters don't usually run anything over 4 mana, so definitely no Highmane. Dr. Boom is super op so that is hardly a benchmark for balance. Animal companion and fireball are both used in most decks, but neither limit design space as both are versatile and don't prevent other cards from being run. However, a mechanic like silence limits other cards that can be used.
It's just worse of Stormpike commando or Spellbreaker. I didn't like this nerf which is too much.

Justified and balanced nerf 4 health was too much with the versatility the cards offers

My suggestion was a 1/3 instead of 2/2
Waste ... Now , it's waste ...

This expansion better have great druid cards.

Hey! at least there is Mire Keeper and Dark Arakkoa.
There is also the benefit of flexibility from Choose One and the new Druid legendary.

Yeah Mire Keeper is a going to be an insane turn one drop with Coin and Innervate, or double Innervate. Dark Arakkoa looks good as well.

They need to change the wording to
Choose One - Silence a minion; or Deal 2 damage.
(swap the two effects)
to make it more viable for the new druid legendary card Fandral Staghelm.
