It's amazing that people don't understand why this was nerfed. It has nothing to do with some dumpy "combo" you can do right now, but to do with designers creating a card internally and having to go "well... we can't add this card to the set because of that POS Master of Disguise card which would make these certain matches an auto win." and then we lose a potentially interesting card addition because of it.
This really angers me, its like they hate rouge or something, first blade flurry is gone and now this crap. THIS CARD WAS BARELY USED ANYWAY. And now they are removing a unique concept from the game because it "has been a design obstacle" for long time. How is a card that is only good in theory a design problem?
The reason the card is only good in theory and not in practice is because they have been designing cards around it so that it won't be broken. That's why the card is a design obstacle, because there are a lot of things they can't do if a card can be stealthed permanently.
They claimed that animated armor was suppose to be neutral but couldn't be because MOD would give it permanent stealth and that would be a little broken don't you think?
Why not just ignore Master of Disguise when designing cards and if something broken comes up during the process of design, you nerf MoD when you release said card(s) which make it broken?
Arguably, something broken had already popped up in the form of Scaled Nightmare. And there may be other cards in WoG that would break with perma-stealth. Overall, the design just didn't work with any card that gains value from sticking to the board without doing immediate damage, and there was no reason to leave it in place when no one runs it anyway.
I understand the old one was limiting design space, but still irrelevant nerf
but if you understand that the old one was limiting design space how can you say that the nerf is irrelevant? This allows some cool mechanics in the future for neutral or rogue only minions
Since it was a class card they could have made it a 4/5 give stealth to another minion til next turn. Notice I said another minion, not another friendly minion. This way you could stealth a taunt, allowing you to bypass it. The stat increase would be cause it is a class card, and this would make it playable.
Anyways got a golden of this, last time as part of ladder reward...free legendary, yay!
It's possible to conceive of a minion with a powerful ongoing effect becoming completely gamebreaking if it's also permanently untargetable. There haven't been many such minions, but it's the kind of thing that Blizzard couldn't make. Browse YouTube for Lorewalker Cho videos--He can cause some serious havoc under certain conditions, like a player being stuck with 10 Circles of Healing in their hand on turn 5. GG. But most of the time, it's possible to remove Cho without much trouble, and no one has figured out a game-breaking Cho Rogue yet.
I'm sure, however, there will be some card printed at some point and folks would say "can you imagine how insane this would be with the old Master of Disguise?" And the only reason that card will be printed will be because they nerfed this now.
I've just disenchanted a golden master of disiguise, i thought: wtf I haven't seen this card in play in any rogue deck, no way this gets nerfed, btw I have to see what cards they nerf... And well, seems like I fucked it up.
They nerfed this card due to Y'Shaarj, Rage Unbound. Imagine having this stealthed the last half of the game. Unless you can board clear w/o targeting it, new minion every turn...

it should be a 4/5, or a full Conceal effect
Still good i like it.
Don't have any pretensions to this one. If it really locked some neutral card creations because of sick combos with it, that's okay.
This was the nerf everyone expected...and its fine :)
Something likeBurgle into Animated Armor into Master of Disguise should not be possible.
Lets see what kind of cool Rogue cards they can come up with.

They should've buffed its stats just a little bit. A 5/4 with an upside wouldn't break the game.

I like this nerf. The card was both weak and a potential game breaker that prevented some interesting design.

Fair and expected
They at least could buff it a little. Nobody play it atm so...

So 800 dust, thanks.

They could have done something with the card here, rather than nerf it move it sideways so it just did something else, as it was already unplayable.
