Yeah, that's what I said. Implosion times 20 as in 20 times more volitile and random. And just like Imp-losion this card is terribly designed. They should have made it a 2/2 or something so that it could never be even remotely competitive.
There is some risks playing this card, but I believe majority of spells apply to the player playing this card (Arc. Intellect, Humility...), so worth the try, no?
NOW! You CAN Fireball yourself and get 5/4 for 5 mana - Value !
Please, get it right, it's Lava Burst yourself. Because, you know, Overload.
Actually, best result might be Elemental Destruction. You lose your turn 5, then you lose your turn 6, then you probably lose your turn 7 as well, on account of a serious case of being dead.
This card actually casts the spell so you will not be overloaded.
On top of that if it functions like Yogg-Saron then all AoE damage spells are cast on your opponent, not on you. This was confirmed by their twitch account, making this card slightly less self destructive and making elemental destruction one of the best things this card could do for you . You're still at risk of a fireball to your face though.

I think the benefits overpower the risks, any draw engine and this guy can win the game for you.
A Mage just played this against me in a Arena match on turn 5 it cast Naturalize on itself and drew me 2 cards. Biggest LOL i've had in awhile in this game.
I tried this card out today and pretty much every time the card would cast a spell on itself and either kill itself or severly weaken it. A lot of times the spell wouldn't do anything to affect the game. There has to be a better 5 drop in the game that plays better in tempo mage Azure Drake.

Sounds like you were playing it onto an empty board.
Turns out, it's not a great card because its one-shot nature doesn't give it the Law-of-Averages consistency you get with Yogg himself, BUT ... if you must play the servant, you'll generally want to do it when your opponent has a few minions out.

Be there, or be squared!
Just notice it actually says spells that cost (5) or less, not sure would there be any big difference comparing it with yogg-saron.
Why does it need to be 5 mana? The effect isn't that valuable. 'Should be 4 mana.
I'll be waiting for the day when this card cast Blessing of Kings on an enemies Young Dragonhawk Kappa

I've used it five times and had these outcomes:
Mark of Nature +4 health and taunt (on itself)
Arcane Intellect x2
Naturalize (cast on itself)
Explosive Shot (cleared the enemy board)
