So tempo mage(AS WE KNOW IT NOW) is a thing... Mirror Entity is a card that lets you stay ahead of your opponent on board.. Or Tempo... Well... Mirror Entity is gone for standard, so I guess we will be looking for different ways to stay ahead on board with High value minions, on curve.... maybe there might be a card from WOG that would help us do that... oh wait look
Mirror Entity isn't gone for standard, its part of the Classic set, although Mad Scientist is, which means secrets will probably not see too much play outside of decks that rely on secrets.

YA.... your point is better... I'm Stupid...... Thanks for the save...

FUN FACT: Faceless Summoner has Sylvanas Windrunner stats, comes with its second minion up-front, does not rely on the opponent's deck for its value, cannot be played around, and cannot be silenced.
Sylvanas has utility and combo potential that this card doesn't have (Brawl, Shadowflame, Shadow Word: Death, etc.). She also doesn't "rely on the opponent's deck" for value. Assuming she trades fairly, even stealing a 2-drop with Sylv is a better outcome, in terms of overall value, than playing Faceless Summoner.
Runts have 2 attack which basically makes the rest of the stats worthless and opens it up things like Cabal.
Cairne's yeti stats is what makes it weak, especially in the current meta, dies to basically everything and doesn't contest anything but small minions.
Skygolem is a card that does see some play and would see more if most of the current midrange decks didn't have class only 6 drops that are better than it (Challenger, Highmane, Fire Ele).
Also if you actually think people play Dr Boom because they want Boombots . . . .
And you think, what, they play him because they want a War Golem?
Also those Mage Sylvanis combo examples are "awesome" . . .
I'm talking about general principles here. Faceless Summoner is worse in mage than it would be as a neutral, and as a neutral, I'm arguing that it still wouldn't be played much in constructed. And come on, mind the "et cetera." Mage has lots of ways to take advantage of Sylvanas—the amount of direct damage in the class is crazy. Even just being able to ping her gives you a level of flexibility no other class has.
Onyxia is 9 mana and as such is in completion with many other better cards for a similar or less cost, by your logic Baron Geddon is a bad card because it doesn't see as much play as Dr Boom. Even Dr Boom himself is basically a better version of Onyxia for 2 less mana.
You're talking about a limited number of inefficient card combos that only ever saw use very rarely even when Sylvanas was a common card. Currently she sees less play than MC Tech because her effect is too match up dependent and she can be ignored or dealt with easily in most match ups.
More importantly these two cards would not go in the same types of decks to begin with, there's a reason why Sylvanas is never in any Tempo Mage decks. This card, like Dr Boom, is about threatening to actually kill your opponent or at least be dealt with inefficiently.
Wanna know something funny . All of this was said about mysterious challenger just instead of oh you'll have to play 7 secrets that you could draw into all of the time and it would screw you over, this guy is making you basically similar things. i mean what if they hit that blade master or they hit that felguard, you're going to call bs on it right away and rage at SummonerMageOP
Personally I'd replace the water elementals with frost callers or a frost caller and another card, maybe Antonidas. You have to wait for value on the elementals but frost callers give instant freezing with some tiny spells. Just my 2 cents.
Thanks for the suggestions! The reason I included water elementals over demented frostcallers is I felt that the stats on the frostcaller would make it too easy to remove, plus, water elemental doesn't require spells.
As for Antonidas, I may add him later if some cards turn out to be weak in the new meta.

Ah, i see. I'm curious as to why you chose twilight summoner too. Any particular reason or just for shiggles?
The absolute WORSE card you can get from this is Magma Rager, or maybe one of the few 2/2s there are. Most of the 1/4s tend to come with an effect that makes them usable at the most, whether thats Windfury or Taunt/Charge.
On average, you'll get a 3/3, so its essentially an 8/8 for 6 mana. Even in the worse case, its either a 10/6 for 6 mana, or a 7/7 for 6 mana.
Best case is either King Mukla for 10/10, or Arcane Golem for a 4 mana charge.

Arcane golem got nerfed, still 9/9 is nothing to complain about, you could get a 0 3 alarm o bot and that is probably the worst unless left on the board, there are currently 74, , ( was 75 but BGH is now 5 mana) cards this could give, I'm predicting more 3 cost minions to be released so at least 80 3 cost minion cards.
But if you compare it to Piloted Sky Golem it isn't super OP anymore. This has a bit different stats and has a Battlecry instead of a Deathrattle, but the minion summoned costs 1 less. I think this might be played in some Mage decks.
you are so wrong. It is like 2times better than piloted sky golem.
1) Battlecry could be stopped. You cant silence it, you cant do anything - mage just get value 8 mana value for 6 mana - what is it. No way to deal with this.
2) Golem got 4 hp, this guy got 5 hp. That one health is really huge thing, cuz with golem can trade lots of minions and lots's of spell + ping. Our guy is really hard to kill.
3) 3 mana minions - is not 2 mana or 4 mana. (cap). I meant on 3 mana you can get lots of reaaaally good minions with special abilities, shields, charge and so on. So in this case random 3 mana minion is better then random 4 mana minion.
Can we please not whine and cry endlessly every time when a good card is released? This is a very good card. Not really "fair", obviously, but may I ask which fair cards see a lot of play in constructed today? This is not at crazy op level.
By the way the best case for this is not Mukla but Injured Blademaster in terms of pure stat value. Though that one time when I got Brann out of this while playing a C'Thun deck was pretty crazy.

THIS WILD DECK IS AWESOME!!!!

Shredder? What's that?
Which is why Onyxia is so popular, right?

Can't be silenced, and gives you another 3 mana card for free. Man I would pay to see 3 flamewakers on the board at the same time.
So far, my favorite card from the expansion for sure. Basically a 9-drop for 6. Did Somebody say VALUE?
