This is the weirdest and most misinformed salt thread I've ever seen on Hearthpwn. Well done kiddo.
Look at me. I'm going to go on the forums and just tell someone they're stupid. And I'm going to tell them they're so stupid that I don't even need to explain to them why they're stupid because they're just that freaking stupid! - The one guy on every single forum.
Not that I agree with the OP. However calling someone "kiddo" is demeaning, and you just did it to get a rise out of him.
Captain's Parrot is a great card, one of the only tutors for a specific thing in the entire game. It's the fact that Pirates aren't good that make Captain's Parrot bad.
Captain's Parrot has literally never been played in a single deck, including pirate decks since the hearthstone beta.
And how do you know? Out of the billions beyond billions out Hearthstone matches and decks ever made, at least once has every single card in the game been used. Even cards that have been used in 1 out of the 25936908568903465890453690653490659043867 (hypothetical number) decks ever made have still been used in one deck.
It's like saying "out of the entire population and everyone that has every lived, not a single person ever has done X". As long as it's theoretically possible, there's probably at least one time it has ever happened.
When people say stuff like "X card" isn't played or was never played, they don't mean it has played literally 0 times in any deck, it just hasn't been seen in competitive play. Even some of the worst cards in the game (Magma Rager, Hemet Nesingwary, Eye for an Eye, Poisoned Blade, etc.) has been used at least 1 time ever in any deck ever made ever.
yeah but Captain's Parrot hasn't even been used in casual decks lol. Mostly because by the time people actually have all the cards to get the parrot, their collection is decent enough that they 1. don't even have the desire to be playing pirates and 2. already have much better cards to put in a pirate deck lol. I personally have played over 10K games, and I have seen all of those cards played at least once including poisoned blade a whopping 2x, but I have yet to see the parrot played 1 single time other than from a webspinner. And that card's been there since release
I really wish I was able to remember every card I've seen played, and how many times they were played, in over 10,000 games... :/

when you see people playing poisoned blade and hemet nesingwary, you remember it lol
I'm pretty sure the whole point of Captain's Parrot these days is only to weaken the power of cards like Webspinner or Ram Wrangler. It'd be pretty stupid if they didn't have that type of high risk, high reward imo since it would pretty much make the card a lot of stronger if the crappy beasts were removed. It's kind of even the range between really good and really bad in the midrange decks that use them. Some of the better beast to get would probably be King Krush or Gahz'rilla while the weaker ones are Captain's Parrot and I guess another Webspinner.
I'd consider a Webspinner out of a Webspinner a pretty damn good outcome.
Well I never played Ram Wrangler so I assumed it was for tempo, and a 1/1 isn't exactly that. And getting it from Webspinner could be pretty good but it's also slow in some situations, but that's just my opinion.
