Arcane Nullifier X-21 with a bigger body. Probably not game changing but I could see it being pretty strong in slower control decks.
Arcane nullifier had a weak body, and it can be efficiently traded against.
Sure, this one is a late game card, but it gives you a very solid defense that can't be removed from a spell. And even versus control, it's a big fat monster that cannot be entombed/executed/siphonnedsoul/polymorphed... . There are very, very little cards that trade 1 for 1 against it, so if you like card advantage, this guy is your new best friend.
IMHO, the card is meta defining, not because it is strong but because it gives control deck a very big "attirion card" to compltely destroy anything midrange by turn 9
Playing this costs 9 mana but its very hard to deal with. Its ok for a deck that is prepared for a long game, but control warrior is sad because you cant tank up the same turn you play this.
I suppose if I absolutely, positively, have to make sure my opponent isn't swinging at my face, this would be nice. The issue is that that might happen at turn 6 or 7, maybe even turn 5, while I have to wait until turn 9 to play this. Even so, silence is a thing (Tangent Alert!! It really shouldn't. I mean, its possibly the least fun mechanic in the game, mostly because off how it can simply reduce games to a stat battle, without all of the zany effects that make Hearthstone fun. It almost always from the 2 mana Ironbeak Owl, making it nearly always worth the subpar 2/1, and just one of them usually hits something important, making playing Legendary cards feel like a waste since they are usually costed around their effects. Silence, in my opinion, actually pushes the game towards a solely aggressive meta more than charge does. And thats's just terrible. This conclude this tangent.) so, it could lose a lot of its value quickly. Either way, if you think you truly need a gigantic taunt, this is your guy , and quite handy if you ever get it out of The Golden Monkey.
its interesting as Eldrazi become a huge thing in MTG with BFZ and Oath, hearthstone is releasing there own big "monsters". not saying Blizzard is copying Wizards, just a comparison. whatever the case is im very excited for this new set.
Now this would make it playable, even meta defining, but as everybody(me include) said it's too slow against decks that are trying to kill you fast and weak stats against decks that are not in a hurry to kill you,
Probably not as bad as it looks. Still not good. I mean, it could do fine by stabilizing that last aggro push, as it will kill anything that attacks into it and absorb 9 damage. But probably too expensive to be effective on a level you'd actually want this in your deck. Maybe if we get some serious incentive to play big minions... maybe joust? So iffy.
It's weak to silence and the stats are pretty poor for 9 mana. I don't think it will see play. It would eat a couple of 5-6 drops so it can gain value that way, but anything even close to its own mana cost will eat it right up. If no one has dead and no one has spell lethal on turn 9 then you're likely not playing against aggro and that's really the only thing I think this card will do really good against.

The Black Knight rises.
I kinda like the card. Nine mana, though...
"Infinite" doen't mean "big" - it can be small and have no end.

DOUBLE OWL EVERY DECK

Y'sharrj control?
It need to have a better attack or health.
But I agree... Deal with this card on the board will be insane, if you have no minions to try to hold it, it'll be a pain.
Maybe... nah nah nah nah
They aren't going to nerf silence. Also I guess all cards suck unless they are invincible and uncounterable according to logic of many in this thread.
Printing a neutral Ancient of War would be too disruptive, I think it makes sense as a legendary (1 per deck), but it would make more sense at 8 mana.
Finally a neutral legendary that I want to craft in this game other than the Old Gods.
Can't wait to play this after playing Naga Sea Witch.

it should read:
Taunt
Can't be target by hero powers/spells
Your hero is Immune
8 mana, 6/9

If they nerf Owl, this card will be a pretty big pain in the butt to get through.
Id rather Ysera

When I saw this card I was like wow nice stats and effect, I'd like to play it, BUT THEN 9 MANA WHY BLIZZARD !

This will be a useful tool for a number of slower decks. Not too exciting, but very solid and balanced.
