This would be fun in a rogue deck. Most are filled with spells with the intent of using them quickly. Also, If you manage to keep a Summoning Stone on board before using this you could have a full board, assuming Yogg doesnt destroy them of course. XD
Probably more for fun than competitive play, but I still very much look forward to playing it. This is the sort of creativity I'd like to see more of in card design.

Hello I'm from the future, i had 30 hp and my opponent have gotten 3 hp when i hit him with all my board. I played Yogg-Saron, Hope's End. It casted Tree of Life. And Twisting Nether. Later on it Resurrected my Auchenai Soulpriest. After that healed (damaged) me 14 with Healing Wave. At last with a Pyroblast and rolling 6 Crackle on my hero portrait i was dead. Stay away from this card, I REPEAT STAY AWAY FROM THIS CARD.
Do you ever cook something in the microwave but it's still really cold in the middle and you just keep eating it instead of heating it longer because life is pointless and entropy is unavoidable and the universe is filled with callous and casual destruction.
I can only imagine this with Nozdormu on the board. 6 turns later the spells are done casting from the battlecry. If Brann is in play the game ended a few minutes ago.
If only malghanis and spell stopper could be in the same deck this would be op. Malghanis and 2 spell stopper makes sure you wont be damaged. And their both gvg. I wish there's an old god card that will make u immune on your turn
I will probably craft this beautiful monster golden... I mean, yeah I like to win, but I also like to have fun! Everyone is so pessimistic in this thread. Sure, this is no Dr. Boom or competitively good legendary, but how much excitement do you feel plopping down that garbage on turn 7 game after game? Meh. Sure, people dont want to lose, but there is a difference between this and say getting hit for 22 on turn 10 by a druid with combo. I for one would LOVE if Yogg shot me in the face with 5 pyroblasts! (Which, btw, the odds of even one pyroblast shooting you in the face is so low anyways).
There is more to a card then how OP or actually good it is. Although people get annoyed with Blizzard's method of randomness for the purpose of enjoyment, these cards create games that I actually remember. No sane person goes to their friends to tell them about how they just used an OP druid combo to punch face for 30, or excitedly screenshots how they played boom on 7 and it cleared two minions from the boom bots. Is tryharding to legend every season with broken decks really that enjoyable? Each to his own I guess, I personally got there once and have no intention of tryharding for it again.
I for one am looking forward to crazy chaos and situations that I will remember days after playing! So go ahead Yogg, shoot me 5 times for 10 damage (or buff yourself 5 times with kings, whatever works 4 u).

You are bad at Hearthstone, Future Panda.
Why would you play this card when you are at 30 vs 3? That's just stupid.

"Why, you never expected justice from a company, did you? They have neither a soul to lose nor a body to kick." -- Lady Saba Holland
This is one of the worst card designs I have seen in any card game. It vastly amuses me that Blizzard wishes to foster a competitive community for Hearthstone and at the same time hamstrings it by introducing a card that may as well read: "Stake the outcome on a coin flip."
For added insult, the spells cast by Yogg-Saron won't actually proc any useful effects (Gadgetzan, Mana Wyrm, etc.), so if you wanted card synergy, I guess you're screwed.
riiiiight cause 1 card = DESTROYING THE COMPETITIVE SCENE. Not every card ever printed will be good in the competitive scene. This is the same for literally every card game digital or otherwise. This card "hamstrings" absolutely nothing, it's called...just don't play it competitively. This card I think is mainly printed for fun. Could it win you the game, sure, could it lose you the game? Sure Could it have almost no impact what so ever, again yes and it's that unknown that makes it just a fun card, not a competitive card.
Truth be told I really wanted all the old gods to be playable and right now only maybe two are, and we don't even know that for sure yet. But they aren't all playable and that is a little sad to me, but even that doesn't ruin the competitive scene and we have plenty of very playable cards already and more to come.
Do you realize that this can be used in a competitive way to try and steal victories in games where you were about to lose?
Do you realize that it's way way too random to rely on such a thing in a competitive environment? I guess the question is, what do you consider to be competitive? I am referring to tournaments and legend grinds to get into tournaments.
Let's put it this way. You are losing the game because your opponent has like a full board you are at 1 life and you hand is empty save for this. Can you think of anything else in the whole game that could save you? This can. This basically has 1/3 chance of doing that, since it is so completely random that almost every outcome is equally probable provided a sufficient number of spellls. Sure maybe you being at 1 life it might be easier for it to kill you immediately, but what does it matter? you would have died anyway and this is giving you a chance of winning anyway.
Do you really believe that a heavy control deck like freeze mage or priest cannot afford to run this to guarantee a chance at winning any game no matter how bad their position is?
Ok. Let's compare it to ice block. They both have a chance at saving you. Fot yogg it s random, but it is still there. Ice block (almost) guarantees that you live one turn more, but cannot really win the game on its own. This can, but can also kill you or basically do nothing. Ice block costs very little compared to this, but both are basically dead cards until the very last moment.
I'd say they are indeed pretty similar and ice block gets played. So why not this?

I'm not really sure how you got that out of my post. Yogg-Saron isn't going to "single-handedly destroy competitive Hearthstone" any more than Unstable Portal did. For one thing, it'll get plenty of help from the upcoming expansion. For another, introducing more variance lowers the skill cap of a game. That's true in general, not just for Hearthstone. If Blizzard wanted to make the game more competitive by rotating out GvG, then it should not replace RNG cards with even worse RNG cards.
Yogg-Saron is about the worst RNG card of them all. It has a large impact on the outcome of the game, even if it does relatively little (you just spent your entire turn to play a 7/5), and it effect is almost completely random.
Well, first of all, finally another really interesting Old God! After the boring powers of N'Zoth and Y'Shaarj, this guy is certainly very very NOT boring.
And I think that the RNG of targeting is necessary because otherwise the card would just be ridiculously OP. Sadly that means the card is now a just-for-fun card.
But what fun it will be! Many trolden videos incoming. I definitely hope I get him in my 150 or so packs just so I can get that "hold on to your pants folks, shit just got crazy!" moment when I play him with Brann in play as well :)
So, if Yogg casts a card with Overload, are you Overloaded then ?
Same as with Gallywix I suppose. Spells count as being casted by him, so he would be overloaded. Since he has no Mana though, that should not be a problem^^
I wonder what happens with Bash though, do YOU get 3 armor or does he get 3 armor? kappa.
It's a "Hail Mary" God I think - but that's cool and ok. You just wouldn't play it unless you were behind I think. Kinda reminds me of when you play the Golden Monkey.

I need to see this with Brann. Let the chaos reign!

Prediction: someone will hit legend with Yogg-Saron, Hope's End, post the decklist, and then we'll see a major shift in the meta.

Fun card but won't be competitive

Not sure if hyped yet.
