This card is terrible for competitive play. His effect is completely random and will help you 50% of the time and help the opponent 50% of the time.
Usually, for random effects, you can still exert some form of control in terms of when you play the card - for example, playing a Madder Bomber when there are more enemy minions on the board than friendly minions. But with an effect so random like this, there is simply no meaningful way to control it. It could cast a Flamestrike on your enemy's minions, or it could cast Power of the Wild on them. It could cast Sprint for your opponent or cast it for you.
But to add insult to injury, you are paying ~5 mana for his effect, because his stats of 7/5 is worth about 5-mana. With such a random effect like this that could hurt you 50% of the time, I fail to see why there should be any reduction in his stats at all.
What is the point of a poll when 75% of people are just rank 25's that don't understand the game, and just want to troll...
One could ask what the point of a forum is when there are people who don't understand the game, and just want to troll. Hard hitting questions like yours, that is the answer.
OT, I've been kind of spamming this simulator with 10-15 spells for the last hour or so and while there were some very good ones and very bad ones... the general effect is really just pretty decent. A lot of secrets, a reasonable amount of card draw type effects, and generally one or two spells per attempt pretty much whiffing hard. It's a super neat tool, but honestly without board states in mind (even if it's not exact, just having a rough idea of how much flood will exist in the meta at the point when Yogg is actually playable would be good information for evaluation for instance) it's just kind of hard to tell. The people that obsessed with the chance that you could Pyroblast your face just reminds me of the people that look at Fel Reaver and state it's objectively bad because burning cards loses you the game (don't get me wrong, it can... but you're definitely throwing the baby out with the bathwater with that kind of analysis).

Might have been asked in this thread already but will the normal turn timer be going while Yogi casts his spells, especially if you managed to drop Noz the previous turn it seems like it could skip a bit, prob not as potent as the brewmaster trick but it does seem open to abuse.
Jesus people what is wrong with you... You NEVER play this card when you are winninig. It is like the ultimate plan B. If you are dead next turn and you can't do anything, just play this and hope for the best. I love this card.
The decision to include so much RNG to an Old God Card (which is the main theme of expansion) is sooooo bad.
This card won;t see any serious play in standard but will be tons of fun in Wild, too bad they chose to render an old god superiorly inferior to the other 3, all 4 should have been playable on standard.
It's obviously not competitive, yet it has such a strong, unique and crazy effect, one that befits and being such as an old god. Flavorful. I'll use it if I happen to open it, as I was using Executus every now and then, for fun.
Since they stated a few times that yogg-saron is the one casting the spells, what happens with spells like revenge? Does it work with yogg-saron's health or with yours?

I am sure Blizzard developers has spent millions in Yogg-Saron simulation and find it viable.
That's why it is being released.
Have faith in the millions spent
This is like a massive mad bomber!

Who's the Beatdown?
this card is just stupid, and sick, and stupid ^^
Why do I foresee a lot of draws...

Terrible stupid gimmicky card which doesn't have any value in the game
Dead but dreaming
Has anyone thought about Astral Communion...? Would lose you the game
I'm excited for Miracle Rouge!
2 of those could go both ways (wrath and Blessing) the others work out great.
or
Ok Pyroblast to face would be awful, but then it might work the other way. SW:P could back fire too.
But a lot of the cards (like arcane missle for example), say 'enemies' on them, so they will always work for you.
This to all the fans who expected Yogg to be a card that would encourage strategic thinking ... in our Hearthstone??? EleGiggle.
Release the Kraken!

As a “fun deck” player, I think it's definitely an awesome card.
A game is also about fun and I think RNG = fun. So this full of RNG card is a must play for me :D
I mean what's the point of winning a game when you can lose it taking 10-15 pyroblasts in your own face ? xD
And we need card for all types of players (and not only competitive players).
Probably the first Legendary I'll craft from this expansion if I don't get it out of packs.
I am just a bit scare of the animation time for all this spells because you can easily reach 10-15 spells quite quickly
King's Elekk in a Lock and Load deck seems like it could help.
