I think the only reason a card like this should be 10 mana would be if it continued in the same fashion as Animal Companion where it summoned 3 random animal companions. That is the only time when the cost should really go up. Imaging having 4 hounds on board and rolling 3 leokks, which adds 12 immediate damage, or 3 huffers for 12 damage, or 4 4/4s with taunt. Now that would be more towards the 10 mana value side.
This card is just insane. I would actually rate it higher than Ragnaros (instead of 8 random damage, you get 5 direct damage, and instead of having an 8/8 that can't attack, you have a 5/4 taunt and a 2/4, both beasts. If you can afford to go face you even get a 5/2 beast on top of that). And of course, unlike Rag, you get to run two.
Combine this with N'Zoth + Highmane x2 and suddenly Hunter has one of the most, if not the most powerful late-games of any class. It's only a question of having enough early game removal and card draw to get to the late game, which with cards like King's Elekk, Power Shot, Unleash the Hounds, Hunter's Mark, etc. shouldn't be a problem. I can already envision what a control hunter deck will look like, and on paper it seems very strong.
Okay a 5/4 with taunt, 5/2 with charge and 2/4 seems pretty good to me. Pretty much 12/10 worth of stats + 5 dmg charge. Auto-include in every single Hunter deck tbh. All Beasts companions are worth 4 mana on their own, so getting all three for just 8 is ridiculous.
i personally wouldn't play a 4/4 taunt or a 2/4 which gives all other minions +1 attack
No because that takes too much effort for a face hunter.
Whoa sick burn! Except I'd say it's legitimately reasonable to not want to include the two slower beasts in a deck that is so focused on efficiently murdering your opponent (Leokk into Unleash is a very happy accident, but is it actually worth a slot?).
I'd agree with your opinion this is a very awesome card that will see play, but saying it has a place in something like Facehunter seems far fetched to say the least is all. It's not really an effort thing, it just doesn't fit.

Even as a burst effect, you're granted at the very least 5 damage with Huffer + Leokk's buff. Possibly Leokk will buff another 1~2 minions on board - best case scenario you have 4 other dudes with a total of 9 damage burst besides the 4/4 and 2/4 body.
Seriously some people thinks this will fit in face hunter?
I really like this card. For me looks very balanced, nor RNG (thank god!) and fits well in midrange hunter. Now hunter needs something like the paladin murloc to change his hero power to something less face.
OK maybe just think about when this card would be good.
Youre playing this card at 8 mana, and arguing its a value card - youre obviously playing control hunter. In aggro leeroy would be better, or even just a reckless rocketeer doing 5 charge for 6.
Since youre playing control hunter - youre trying to trade - the best case for this card is something like : Opponent has a Thaurissan on the board, you coin out this - kill his thaurissan and have a 4-4 and a 2-4 leokk. Or the board is completely empty.
But lets be serious, whats going to happen?
Lets take todays meta, Dr.Boom at 7 mana (since we dont know what 7 drops will be used later) - your opponent plays boom on 7, do you really want to play this against boom? Boombots will trade for 2 minions.
Lets say theres a ragnaros, tirion or Ysera on the board, do you want to play this ? will this 8 mana card help you come back vs a normal lategame play? The answer is obviously NO.
Turn 8 is starting to get to the lategame. Go big or go home.
People say its 14:10 worth of stats, but its really not. Since split up into 3 bodies - if you read it as 14:10 it has the text "Take 3x as much damage from AOE effects) - Value wise, a single cabal shadowpriest counters this play. leaving a 4:1.
This would be much better as "draw all 3 animal companions, they cost 0"
I can't say I follow your logic really at all. You are looking at this card in specific scenarios that may or may not happen. Lets say they're is a Rag on board. How much damage is the opponent going to take in the face before dealing with all three minions? Rag isn't even a good counter play against this because of the number of bodies. Rag is a bad card against this, the Hunter can just ignore it and start pushing for face damage in a big way.
Also why are we playing control? why is that so obvious. This card is so strong in hybrid/midrange hunter, which is the deck type that control struggles against. You also can't take boom as an average example then make a very specific argument about what boom does, it's a moot point the very effect you speak of is gone in standard. Also Boom was one of the most OP cards created. Is this card good against boom? Well it's all RNG at this point bots may or may not trade for 2 creatures. Hell they may only trade for 1 and if that is the case this is one of the few SINGULAR cards that can could deal with boom one for one.
Regardless if you play control hunter or not, every hunter deck is going to have a bigger capability for offense generally speaking.
Seriously some people thinks this will fit in face hunter?

King Crush doesn't get played and that's an 8/8. However, some times you need a comeback card for the late game. This gives you 5 damage and a taunt to give you another round to live. The question is does this situation make one copy worth the slot. I wouldn't craft it for that reason but would be fun to test by getting one in a pack. For sure we will see it in midrange and control builds.
If this was a 8 mana 7/8 minion +1 attack to friendly minions, taunt, battlecry: deal 5 damage to an enemy(if no taunt). Would that be considered slow? Of course this card isn't one minion but I think could be thought of as one in some ways.
It seems like it would be played in control/midrange hunter. Not so much face hunter as it feels to slow in that type of deck.
This card I think will be insane in arena as well as see play in standard for non face hunter decks.
Looks really strong. Why the hell is this only 8 mana? I though Animal Companion power for 3 mana was offset by the randomness of the beast you got. This card has no such randomness and yet cost even -1 mana, what the fuck?
Haha all the people who said it would be 10 mana are just terrible at design. I knew it would be 8 mana, now let's hope it performs well.
10 mana was the fair cost. Animal Companion costs 3 because the beast you get is random but the value of the cards you get is arround 3.5 mana. If you don't get those beasts at random and knowing that they compliment each other 10 was actually a more than fair price. The only one who sux at desing is you and the Blizzard card dessigners who thought that this card, Dr. Boom, Piloted Shredder and Mysterious Challenger are fairly priced.
The point is that some fair cards don't see play and since control hunter is so far behind they decided to make this card unfair to give them the push they need in a slower meta.
8 mana is the perfect price tag for this card. I don't know why you put this card in the same breath as Mysterious Challenger, Piloted Shredder, and Dr.Boom but ok..

He just explained that to you. Did you even read the post or are just parroting the "8 mana is fine" thing?
Its actually a balanced card itsucks when ur behind the board which in hunters case he is winning but when behind its pretty meh.and its on turn 8 u actually have OPTIONS.
the reason why companion is good since it can be played on turn 2 with coin or on curve at 3 getting the hunter a good tempo advantage.
Yet another bloody doctor. These insta-board texts are becoming rather tiresome, to be honest. And there was I thinking that Dr. Boom and Mysterious Challenger provided ample science to never print AIDS cards again.. When will they learn?
This is OP in Face Hunter decks. 5 charge damage for 8 mana? Sign me up.
WTF? What game are you playing? 8 mana for 5 damage is just horrible. Leeroy does 6 and costs only 5. Kill Command + Hero Power is 7 damage and costs only 5. This is all but an aggro card.

We should be just glad it doesn't involve RNG lol

Who's the Beatdown?
Will surely be something to include in any Mid-Range Hunter, the value alone is like a Trump wet dream!

Good Midrange material for sure.

Probably the best card of the set atm. That's 3 minions wich are all pretty good in one card and you still get 5 damage on whatever you want.
So, it IS always Huffer now, huh?
I guess casino Hunter has a new singleton.

This is stupidly insane. Each animal companion worth 4 mana in value, basically 12 mana value for 8 mana cost. I wanna this card for druid!!
I draw things: My artstation
Excellent face hunter card! I can't wait to use this to beat all opponents without having to kill any of their creatures!

over all a cute card face might run one though :3
YES?
Animal Companion summons one Mr Bigglesworth when played against Kel'Thuzad in his boss fight. What would happen if this card was played instead.
