0 mana 5/5 in about 50% of the cases you draw him if you run only 1...I'd say that's pretty damn good!^^

What is Hearthstone to you? A fun and semi-competitive game with wacky effects and crazy RNG outcomes or just a card game you wanna grind as many wins you can get as fast as possible in?
Ben Brode confirmed: this card's actual stats are 4-4, it has no taunt, costs 9 mana and doesn't get reduced when a totem is played. why? because shaman
Jesus christ... the "APRIL FOOLS" people. It's a fucking card. It's not even that spectacular. There are only two other Taunts at 6 mana: Lord of the Arena and Sunwalker. One is basic, the other is rare. One gives you a 6/5. The other is a 4/5 but with divine shield. So this card at 5/5 for 6 and also being a rare AND being class specific isn't that spectacular. What is great about it is that it can come out on turn 4 without coin (Turn 2 Hero Power -> Turn 3 Tuskarr or Hero Power -> Turn 4 Thing) or Turn 4 with coin (Turn 2 Hero Power -> Turn 3 w/coin Hero Power + Golem -> Turn 4 Thing for 3 mana).
Now that's pretty good, but you're also locked in to playing specific things to get a 5/5 taunt out on a specific turn.
Yeah, you are right but the surprise/hype comes from the fact that is a Shaman card. There were only few cards moderately useful for shaman in the past (overall speaking). There even a joke about the "shaman tier" in TempoStorm weekly meta snapshot :/
A 6 cost 5/5 Taunt is below average but playable. A worse Lord of the Arena which already gets zero play but not the most horrific card to have in a deck.
A 5 cost 5/5 Taunt is good, especially with Belcher leaving the environment. Exchanges well with most good 4 drops so is a good response here. With Shredder out of the environment, the closest thing we have to a 'standard' 4 drop is Coldwind Yeti and C'Thun's Chosen, and it deals pretty well with both. Pretty aggressive at 5 attack as well, and your opponent dealing with this as a 5 drop opens up Fire Elemental to be a a stickier threat at 6 Mana.
A 4 cost 5/5 Taunt is insane and completely feasible with Totem Golem and Tuskar Totetmic and even Mana Tide/Flametongue Totem running around. Will be a 2-for-1 90% of the time when played as a 4 drop, which is fantastic.
So yeah, I know it's been said a million and a half times, but this could be the missing piece of mid-range Shaman. Hell, it even has a 50% chance of surviving a vanilla Elemental Destruction. Really, really good. 8/10
Maybe they will change knight since it seems they want to improve beast druid now that combo will be nerfed. Right now knight is so bad that it's questionable whether he's even worth including in beast druid.

man, late game 0 cost 5/5 taunt. plus anything else you want to play? I might be gushing a bit much but I love it.
Unless you have The Coin, you can't go t2 Totem Golem into a 3 drop.

Dies to BGH if you combo with Abusive Sergeant, otherwise i'm quite happy to see this as a Shaman fan.
Holy crap. This card is amazing. Stoked for the rest of Shaman now
Always rank 15-20.

Totem Giant?
Good card. Hopefully we get more low cost playable totems to go with this and Totem Shaman.
Great card for Shamans.
My only question is why doesn't Knight of the Wild and Bolvar Fordragon have text that say "This game"
Predominantly an Arena player.. But Ranked is fun too... Sometimes.. When Secret Paladins don't ruin your day!
