Seriously? Paladins lost most of their early game in the rotation (-minibot and muster) and there are tons of 1-3 cards (warbot, cleric, trogg, mana wyrm, finley). Also Paladins were bottom tier trash in the early days (naxx). But I do a agree that shamans are long due for a buff(even though they barely lose anything in standard)
My prediction is that IT IS a Shaman card (and the only joke is the card's colour). Come on guys, look at the murloc's outfit.
That's a good point. This card has a pretty neat, mostly non-silly effect, and so much anti-synergy with Anyfin but so much potential for Everyfin that I can see that working.
They made murloc paladin better of what murloc shaman ever was or it's going to be with 2 cards. Now give shaman a real tribe thanks.
Seriously. I thought Shamans would be the murloc leaders. They might as well just give Paladins Neptulon as well.
Two out of the three Shaman murloc cards that ever existed are rotating out. It is possible that the murloc chapter in the book of Shaman is drawing to a close. I won't miss it.
Yeah but it's like they didn't even really try to make murloc shaman a thing or didnt care, look at how lame the cards for murloc shaman are. Shaman are second class citizens they always get a worst version of what other classes have.
This would also helps to get rid of the stupid random totem hero power and give you sinergy with warleader (on top of Everyfin) acting like a mini-quartermaster.
But nope lets give all the cool things to paladin because is not like that class gets played anyway.
Wow just Wow.. Imagine that card with Justicar Trueheart. Murlock Paladin meta other than OTK will be interesting.
I think it's highly unlikely that a Murlock Pally deck other than OTK will ever be viable because Murlocs generally suck and are way too susceptible to being easily removed. The only reason Murloc Pally works is because they don't care if you remove the board since their entire tactic relies on combo wombo to the face. That is why Vilefin isn't going to fit into the deck, despite being a fine value standalone card.
Also, Justicar will do nothing combined with this card because she doesn't buff token hero powers (ie Shadowform, Infernal, Ragnaros Fire, Charged Hammer, etc). When you have on of those in play, Justicar literally does nothing.
Another awesome card. I am not sure what all the bad vibes are about the upcoming WoG set but so far I am impressed with the cards overall, few disappointments, but certainly going to shake the meta up ;) And this is another example pushing a class not in a new direction but same direction different transport. Roll on release!

You can't lose something if you don't have it in the first place.
The worst class has so many bad cards that you don't even notice that you are losing them because you never played them anyway.

Sure but look at the card's name... Plus he's holding some sort of light thing. I really don't think Blizz would go to the effort of adjusting a card slightly as a joke. It seems more likely that they would just design a ridiculous card instead. Besides, this effect makes sense in pally (replacing hero power) even if it's not very good.
"I have long felt that any reviewer who expresses rage and loathing for a novel or a play or a poem (or a murloc) is preposterous. He or she is like a person who has put on full armor and attacked a hot fudge sundae or a banana split." -Kurt Vonnegut
Just want to put in there that old murc eye will not be included in standard, so standard otk paladin will not exist
It's Puddlestomper and Siltfin Spiritwalker that won't be in standard. Murk eye is a legendary REWARD card that is basically part of the classic set.
"Will Reward set cards such as Gelbin Mekkatorque and Old Murk-Eye be part of Wild or Standard format? All current Reward set cards, including Promo cards, will be restricted to Wild format."
Buff for Hungry Crab will always have a murloc to eat with this card. Lol
Hungry Crab will never go hungry again!

I played Paladin before it was cool.

Paladins literally get the cards shaman deserve EVERY GOD DAMN EXPANSION

I thoroughly enjoy this card.

Not sure why ppl are getting excited for this card, it's trash.
Murloc Paladin won't be viable other than the OTK one in standard.
If you put this into an anyfin Paladin you are flat out insane...
Just my 2 cents

Why isn't this a Shaman card?
