The sheer number of garbage Legendary cards in this coming expansion is staggering.
People are going to have a very very bad reaction after they turn over their orange cards.
Pretty sure the Legendaries you feel are NOT garbage are the OP ones that are in most decks. So to make you happy, Blizz should make Dr. Doom 2.0, Tirion 2.0 and alexstrasza 2.0.
Oh look! we already got Ragnaros 2.0 and it's awesome! But you probably hate it... QQ
I actually LOVE Ragnaros, Lightlord. Which is odd seeing as how Paladin is my least favorite class.
I merely said "Sheer Number". Meaning that there is quite a lot of them.
Maybe Blizzard is just trying to rip the band-aid off. Giving us previews of all the sub-par to terrible Legendaries first.
Then pulling out the actual good Legendaries when the set is reveled.
The only Legendary that's been revealed so far that I think *might be* "garbage" is the Boggeymonster or whatever the hell it's called. Even then maybe not actual garbage. For sure some Legendaries will feel better or more powerful then others, but that doesn't mean the ones who aren't at the top of the list are auto-trash.
Just bothers me to see the "sheer number" of small-minded people on these boards when a new card is revealed.
Well the sheer number of "small-minded" people. As you like to call them, on this board seem to outnumber you in their way of thinking.
This card is pretty good, a 5/5 for 6 is great trades well and is a threat vs control.
The thing is you need to have some good synergy with bananas. They could be the deviate and rotten ones also,
But is there a card that gets a shit load of value from 1 mana spells? Something that can get you board presents to make up for the bad tempo of this card flamewaker is one of the only ones.
Is this why people think it's good? Do they think it will give the bananas from the brawl? It won't, just the standard 1+/1+
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
I returned to this game much like how a recovering alcoholic can relapse.
Another boring card constructed upon an already boring card. Well, normal Mukla actually works in some funny scenarios, this one doesn't. It's just a polar opposite of the effect, cool I guess.
I think I'd rather go straight to interesting cards, without the next one being "Archwizard Antonidas: Whenever you cast Fireball, add a random spell to your hand". Or "Noobphet Velen: Halves the damage and healing of your spells and hero power".
There is no situation where you'd realistically want to play this card.
Rhonin is a better 1 mana token generator for mages and Rogues literally just got a cheaper and better 1 mana generator. No other class would even consider running this it has terrible stats and a terrible effect.
Just because the meta will be slower (Which isn't even guaranteed) doesn't mean we can ignore basic card flaws.
Well maybe you want to run more of those in the same deck.. or you want more immediate spell?
rhonin is quite slow it's more impactful but it costs 2 more mana and it needs to die for it to give you the spells this cards give you the spells right away so that's something over Rhonin
in the current value system playing more than a 5/5 isn't neccessary as most minions in the meta have maximum 5 hp there are a lot of 5/5 at 6 mana so the tempo loss isn't that terrible it can still trade with Azure Drake.
I think this card isn't terrible.. it has his merits though.. you can play it in mage to fuel antonidas and flamewakers
Look at the other 6 mana 5/5s your comparing this to. Then remember the 6 mana slot is already fairly busy for rogues.
This is pretty much a trap card. People see these synergies but don't realize what they give up to get them.
You make new decks and see which card can fit better.
Also "busy for rogue" Gadgetzan Auctioneer isn't really a 6 drop so it's only thaurrissan there.. I think the card also has more potential in mage since mage has no 6 mana play except sylvanas and cairne. not to
Also you don't always want to play sylvanas on 6 and this you can just play it.
5/5 for 6 mana draw 2 spells to fuel into your win condition seems quite good toshley was in some tempo mages list sand I seriously doubt it was only played cause of it's stats but rather cause it made antonidas more threatening.
I don't say it's the best card ever but it's an ok card you generate 2 useful cards

Mukla, Tyrant of the Vale not only costs 2 less but also gives you the spells immediately whereas with Rhonin you might not get the Arcane Missiles for an additional turn or two after you play him. They're both situationally better and worse to one another.
Toshley saw play for a decent amount of time after GVG came out before everyone realized how broken and refined aggro decks could be with all the new cards. I wouldn't immediately dismiss this card.
You can't spam the spells immediately unless you wait till 8 mana anyway. Not to mention Rhonin can at least bait out silences / is an actual threat on its own. You play Mukla and its likely going to die without doing much just due to its poor stats on t6.
Wait what? You can't the turn you play Mukla for sure but you absolutely can on the next turn... Flamewker, buff buff for example. Just one of many potentials, but the most likely for a mage. Or if you have coin you could on the next turn Antonidas, coin, and buff for two fireballs. Point is Rhonin has to die and if, as you said, gets silenced then you dont' get your spells at all and Antonidas becomes less usefull anyway. I don't see how Rhonin getting silenced is at all a point in favor for your argument.
Too expensive to see any play tbh; a worse Toshley indeed :/
I see this a lot in this thread and I am not so certain I completely agree. Yes, obviously Toshley has better stats and in some scenarios the spare parts can be more useful. In as many scenario's they may not be.
Let me clarify my position, I think, that toshely is 100% better in wild. Toshley was run quite a bit in the beginning of GvG but then aggro stone became a thing and the damage just became too high and too much to play Toshely who is a slow card.
In this meta, well we have yet to know. A lot of people feel that we have been at this long enough that we just instinctively know what is good and bad. Many times we are right, sometimes we aren't. (like master of secrets or Dr. 7) but I think it's a much MUCH harder call now with format changes. Things that may look really terrible now may actually be better than we thought (notice I didn't say good) simply because the rotation is going to affect this game in a huge way.
So this has one small guarnteed upside to Toshley and one other one that could be an upside. The small guarantee being is that you will definitely have two spells to play on the following turn. The conditional upside being is you always know what you will get and can plan accordingly. Obviously not ever situation is going to want a bananna and to boot spare parts could seriously turn the game around if you got the right one. So you trade guarantee for RNG. How these minor differences play out will depend heavily on what is going to happen with the meta and what sort of decks emerge from these changes.
I'm OK with bad/mediocre/extremely niche cards a la Majordomo Executus because stuff like that is fun/exciting/interesting/etc. But this? This, along with the other corrupted cards we've seen so far are amazingly bland. Many who compete in the Weekly Design Competition would be able to come up with something more interesting! And that sucks, because the persons creating these boring cards are actually paid. On paper corrupted cards sounds interesting, but they have been poorly made. A fix to this card that would make it somewhat interesting would be 3 mana 5/5 "Battlecry: Add 2 Bananas to your deck". You would get a good body for the cost but potentially screw up future draws. Just a quick idea I had, but if I were given this art and namn and some time I could probably make it alot more interesting. Another sad part is that new art is being made for stuff like this, it's such a waste...
I'm so disappointed in Blizzard's HS team, some change in the staff would probably do the game well...

I agree. Oh we need standard to make room for all of the exciting new cards we came up with. In other news, our next expansion is just going to put the word evil in front of every card and slightly tweak their stats. We spent months of time and energy on this exciting new idea.
unless you can squeeze a lot of value out of the bananas like with Djinni, Gadgetzan, Flamewaker, etc. this is just bad. And even then I would say it's still pretty weak.
It's not bad, it's playable in certain spell friendly decks.
Some people will complain about Ragnaros, Ligthlord being too edgy, and other about this one for being to bland. Team5 said right on at the announce of the expansion that they would revisit old minions. This is to be expected and I do like it a lot that some minion designs get revisited, even is it's sometimes very thorough. Sure, this could have been more crazy, but it's logical.
Maybe this one is bland and straightforward, but not all cards will be "build around" cards like Mysterious Challenger and Reno Jackson.
So normal Mukkla: 3 Mana, give your opponent the 2 bananas
This Mukkla: 6 mana give yourself the 2 bananas.
The 2 bananas are worth 3 mana.
Every banana is worth 1,5 mana.
Hmm, seems ok, could be better;)
You've got this wrong. Giving them away makes it 3, keeping them makes it 6, so the cost without them is in the middle (4.5). So the 2 are worth 1.5, with that being 0.75 per banana. Using that method at least.
The card is ok, will slot into specific decks that make use of cheap spells.
The card art though, holy crap, so dissapointed with the card art in the expansion so far. 'Darker theme' like the darker theme to batman vs superman, total balls.

Neutral Ancient of Lore!
Card is quality! Good enough to see play over Emperor or Sylvanas? Not sure.

Will play it in my lock and load hunter for sure. If you can get rotten bananas its crazy synergy with hunters mark. Like it a lot.
Infest & Ball of Spiders buff
Infest is still bad but this buffs them.
Toshley's not so great.
Remember, 2 of the spare parts are Armor Plating andWhirling Blades. Time Rewinder is situational too. Same with Emergency Coolant.
Bananas is better than 4 out of 5 spare parts. Not every spare part is Finicky Cloakfield

Tempo mage says hello!
Mostly Harmless
All of these comparisons with Toshley are pointless.
Toshley, a GvG card, was not run in a GvG environment because most of the cards in that environment are OP.
You don't know if Toshley would be played in a Standard environment because it has never existed in that environment (and never will).
