I wanted to say "why would anyone play this over Ragnaros?", but then I noticed that it can attack. It's pretty good actually, but again, for the wrong class kinda. Paladin already has access to Guardian of Kings, which in a pinch is more reliable and cheaper than this card, since this can potentially heal a damaged minion.
It's difficult to live to turn six vs aggro, much less turn 8. This won't help vs control and slow vs aggro. Sooooo... I can make combo decks cry i guess...
Is anyone else going to mention how this card makes absolutely 0 sense from a lore standpoint?
In the source, it's Ragnaros angry at his old masters and leading the charge against them. Like an "uncorrupted" version in a set full of corrupted versions.
i swear that ever since blizzard release warlord of dreanor, lore got thrown out the window.
that being said, the card overall isn't bad, it isn't spectacular either..... the card can attack, decent cost for stat, 8 for a 8/8 is cool.... but then there's the ability. First off, the random chance of healing you is pretty good. Actually in most cases, the chances of you getting heal for 8 is really good if you are the only damaged character. And as proven by antique healbot for the past year, 8 health is nothing to laugh at. so all in all, i think this giant size lightwell is pretty balance.... it's far from broken but it's pretty good. However, this will probably be fighting for a spot against tirion.....
Sweet. Arguably better than the original, because this can save a losing game. Plus, if you're winning, it's possible that this guy can just act as a less random Firelord by attacking into a minion that doesn't kill it and healing to full every turn.

Apparently, Hearthpwn won't save your signature if it's empty.
The only real plus I can see here is that it heals at the end of the turn, so you can usually make it work to heal your hero. Otherwise, it's hard to judge.
Rly? Ragnaros has found his way to the light? An elemental in the light? This must be a joke whats next? Mech Onyxia? Totem Kelthuzad? is this becoming a joke lore like wow?
Loving this card. Stats are fine, and since it can actually attack, it's basically a less RNG Rag (Damage wise) that heals. It can basically keep its self going Indefinatly with the right luck and careful trading. Also opens up possibilities for Alternate universe/ timeline things. Cool.

hmm, i prefer Firelord, although it can't attack but its effect make all opponent scare and they have to trade

BBQ an egg?
Considering that this is a giant version of Lightwell I can't help but think this would have been more appropriate as the Priest Legendary.
