I agree that Tentacle of N'Zoth could probably be higher up but that's dependant on the quality of other 1 drops in the set.
i am a priest main and forbidden shaping rly helps on the priest main weakness that many times you want to develop the board but you cant because priest cards are mostly reactive and this card helps you fill the curve on the other hand i cannot see a monster you want to herald survive 1 turn and if a card like ysera for example survives 1 turn you probably won anyway n zoth is by far the best card in the set i think on wild will see 100% play on standard im a bit afraid we wont have deathrattle cards to support it undercity huckster is a 2 2 draw a card in raptor rogue people play loot hoarder so i think this card is a stornger replacement the shaman leggendary is a question mark but i love the effect so im looking foward to it and the stats are good
Xaril, Poisoned Mind[/card] this card is probably understatted 1 more attack and it would have been so much better
The problem with Forbidden Shaping is that there are a lot of bad minions early on with terrible stats so that means you can really only play it reliably in the late game, in which case why not just run some other late game card.
In regards to Herald Volazj, I specifically made it a point not to mention cards like Ysera. The examples I used were Sylvanas Windrunner and Cairne Bloodhoof because both of those are powerful minions to copy that are both almost guaranteed to survive a turn. It is for that reason that I regard Herald Volazj so highly.
The argument for Forbidden Shaping being good because it fills the curve is honestly so stupid. Its just a terrible card.
Although I don't see it as THAT extreme, I do agree with you to an extent and that's why its ranked lower than either of the other 2 Forbidden cards on this list. Forbidden Shaping is just one of those cards you actually have to play with in order to determine its actual quality and that's the only reason its not in the Marginal Play catagory.
"Will see play" literally means it will be played. Doesn't matter who, when, where. Unless anyone who is not "high-level" is insignificant with worthless ideas and is just matchmaking filler. Is that what you are getting at?
Also your "tiers" don't really make any sense. Why is "Will see play" at the top and "May see major play" in the middle? How is major play less than regular play?
How is "Will probably see play" any different from "May see marginal play"??
I think you are really making things too confusing.

I usually expect my readers to be at least smart enough to understand that I'm not talking about rank 23 deckbuilding.

You mean ignorant enough?
Are you saying that most card review are done in terms of their rank 23 viability. Anyone with basic logical reasoning skills and the ability to use context clues would be able to imply that the rankings are based on high ranked play.

I am saying rank is not relevant to a card being played to it's full, theoretical potential. Which is what this is as well, theoretical.

You really need to specify what your categories mean.
Not at all clear. Do you mean high-level ranked play? It would help to specify further all around.

I'm very curious to see how Forbidden Shaping shapes up. :D
Here's a similar thread with more specific criteria. Cheers. http://www.hearthpwn.com/forums/hearthstone-general/card-discussion/126071-the-pessimists-tier-guide-to-wog#c1
