So far I have only read negative comments about this weapon, but I am reminded that we had the same experience about a similar card that also presented unlimited value, Dreadsteed. Still there were a few fun Dreadlock decks that surfaced that made great use of the card and was actually *somewhat* viable on ladder, it was amazing.
I feel this is similar in the way that it presents infinite value. The main difference is that this is a weapon, and thus it really lacks all that synergy that a Demon minion could have. This is the major problem with the Tentacles that makes me worried too about if it ever could see play. I think it's too early though to completely go hate-bananas on this card as there might be some trick to it we haven't seen yet. I really sincerely hope that we get some sick weapon synergy for warrior that could potentially enable this weapon. But I'm not sure what it would be.
There should just have been some additional text on this one, maybe cost reduction if you play Spells or when you buff C'Thun or something like that, to represent your body being slowly corrupted. I agree that it's really weird they have this card as a teaser card... It's unique, sure, but not attractive in neither art nor impact.
But Dreadsteed is worth 0 mana, This weapon is worth about 2, and there is a world of difference between those costs. If tentacles for arms re-summoned itself upon death it would be totally busted
I think if they kept it like how it was maybe they should have added something that is similar with this deathrattle Anub'arak where it leaves something behind... Add some consistent value without a re-equip...
where it's still a 5 mana 2/2 weapon with deathrattle: return to hand. But added would be something like "Equip a 1/4 Growing Tentacle weapon" or maybe even "Summon a Tentacle of N'Zoth(or even just a plain 1/1 Tentacle)" that would fit with the tentacle theme. Would be 4 damage over 2 turns along with 4 damage over 4 turns weapon or summon a minion as a deathrattle effect that would allow a warrior to build a board of 1/1 minions....would probably be at least okay in arena if the warrior needed to deal 1 damage to break a shield or something...idk...might not be played still at all in constructed...but would be unique and fit with a theme of infinite tentacles...
watch this card ends up being one of those everybody writes off but ends up amazing cards...lol...I somewhat doubt it happens though...
The only way I could see this ever being played, is if they changed it's deathrattle to "return this card to your deck." Then, hey, warrior fatigue immunity!
Seriously, though, this looks like absolute trash. I've never disenchanted cards because I'm always afraid I'll end up wanting to work a silly deck that uses otherwise untouched cards (i.e. Majordomo Executus, Poisoned Blade) but this may be one that I DE with absolutely no regrets...
but the way it reads now, you need to pay 5 mana every time you re-equip it. Imagine how worthless Dreadsteed would be if it said:
Deathrattle: add a Dreadsteed to your hand
I didn't say they were exactly the same, only that they are similar in that they can potentially offer limitless value. There are several other differences as well, Dreadsteed suffers the risk of being silenced, while Tentacles for Arms literally can never be destroyed (Unless returned to a full hand or something rare like that)
OK so yeah in fatigue matches this is theoretically infinite value...
BUT in realitycontrol warrior should never be losing to control priest anyway and control-type warlock decks don't so much out-control warrior as overwhelm them with threats it eventually cannot deal with. So long story short it just feels superfluous.
I think this card is redundant too , but control priest is favoured vs CW because of Entomb nowadays.

Zamme, I appreciate the fact that you are literally the only person in this thread to keep an open mind instead of going meme-happy like every other window licker on this forum about how this is "worst card NA" "-10/10 kappa" , etc etc etc.
Seriously, did some of you forget how to adult? I know some of you probably ARE NOT adults, but I expect the vast majority of you are human beings above the age of 18, so act like it please. Discuss things and keep an open mind, since we do not know what other card synergies might exist.
And Zamme, as you pointed out Dreasteed actually was a fun and viable deck after the patron nerf. This could be an insane card with other synergies, (Spiteful Smith, comes to mind...and that's just a vanilla card synergy)
There is nothing wrong with 2 attack but the durability geez, you have to pay 5 mana every 2 turns, i think the durability should have been 4 that way it's more viable. . .
need to be TWO mana to be playable. How blizzard does even think of these cards? man...

zammE, you would be right if Tentacles for Arms read:
Deathrattle: re-equip this weapon

Never lucky, always salty!
Tentacle for head : If u got 2 tentacle for arm and 2 tentacle for leg in your hand, summon God of tentacle
God of tentacle: 1 attack 1 defend effect: Charge ,battecry: destroy enemy hero
There are several other differences as well, Dreadsteed suffers the risk of being silenced, while Tentacles for Arms literally can never be destroyed (Unless returned to a full hand or something rare like that)
Maybe worst one that doesn't hurt you. *cough, cough, majordomo, cough, cough*
There is one specific scenario this is playable:
Fatigue Elise star seeker warrior,
Replace 1 Fiery War Axe with Tentacles for Arms
Tentacles for Arms bounce to your hand and became a legendary as you play Golden Monkey.
Yup lmao
I never expect this card to be a warrior weapon when I first saw it, it looks a bit like tentacles appearing from the sky
is shit
;)

This will find a place in Fatigue Warrior.
For Dreadsteed powers you're gonna pay a lot, but it's something to spend mana on instead of Armoring Up every turn and playing no cards.

Super cool weapon, thanks Ben Brode and development team..... :(
i think i could find more spots for Hemet Nesingwary than for this card.
How I imagine Blizzard devolepers when they do these creepy things:
"Do not fear a man that spams 1000 memes, instead fear a man that spams a meme 1000 times"
A shit-tier replacement for one of the best cards warrior has ever seen.
