This card is too similar to Gruul for my taste. Legendaries should have unique effects that aren't found on other cards (think Trade Prince Gallywix). And I agree with the naming concern brought up. Legendaries in Hearthstone ought to be unique personalities from the lore (newcomers like Saraad are welcome too). This could be a translation thing though, I recall some Pokemons literally being called "3 headed dragon" or similar in the Japanese version.
Personally i don't understand the card it's strictly a worse Gruul and he never see's play himself. Only thing i can think of is a gimmick Shaman deck giving it Windfury.
lol this is legendary and its terrible, the worst ever ! little bit better than gruul - still unplayable
Gruul is actually better no idea how you figure otherwise after a turn exchange The Boogeyman will be a 8/9 (minus dmg) and Gruul is a 9/9 plus Gruul grows no matter what and doesn't have to take damage.
I pride myself in making decks that don't follow the meta and use the occasional card that is otherwise rarely, if ever, used. That said I'm at a loss with this card. I can't think of any niche where this card would be acceptable. At any other rarity it would have been subpar. As a Legendary it's a travesty. This is an automatic 400 dust and I almost never dust Legendaries.

Dependable loan sharks since 1960. We sink our teeth into every deal we make.
At best this minion will double trade and die so it's a 8 mana Boulderfist Ogre...Only way this thing gets value is from priest healing and buffing the shit out of it and even then it's a miracle if it works.
I only read first page, and the main thoughts that I had were pretty much 'give this windfury'.
Also having seen some cards with the 'also hits minions adjacent to target' text, I am led to believe that it may become a warrior class spell. Just speculation but +6/+6 after you attack sounds pretty good if that is in blizzard's plans.
Quite good effect for control decks, as it helps clear the board and has 2 mitigation from enemy damage. But it is too expensive and no other effects. If it say had additionally 5 armor on battlecry or say gives 2 armor to hero on each attack it would be good card. But for current I dont think it will be playable in constructed decks.
Yeah, if it were a passive effect instead of an 'on attack' effect it could be hard to play around. Can't just run two smaller creatures into it, you need to directly deal damage to it or run your own big minion down it's throat.
Why would they make an almost strictly worse version of a card that already never sees any play?
It dodges BGH (If BGH isn't nerfed which seems likely) and has some minor synergy with charge and windfury mechanics. But other than that you would never play this over Grull. And nobody plays Grull, so nobody will play this...
Did I or you understand it wrong? I guess it has +4/+4 if it kills a minion. At attack +2/+2 and after kill +2/+2. if it doesn't kill, gets +2/+2 only.
I got it like that.
I feel like it would have said "attacks OR kills" for that... or maybe even "whenever it attacks a minion, and whenever it kills one."
I think it means you have to 'attack and kill' but not passively kill an minion when it attacks you on its turn. So it won't be buffed when your enemy minions rush into this card.

Seriously though, they release absolutely terrifying minions like N'Zoth and C'thun, and then this thing struts up and even the new Hogger laughs.
TRASH
Looks like 400 dust to me.
Competing with Skeleton Knight for trash tier legendary.

When you think nothing can be worse than Gruul at 8 mana...
Too slow.

This card is only interesting as a sneeds or confessor possibility.
I guess it could have been cool if it had taunt and could proc of defending. A good way of countering 1/1 trash.
