With GvG and Maxx getting the boot in Standard we will be having less secrets to operate with in the new mode. So you could claim that new secrets will be revealed soon. But I want to ask you: Should there be any new secrets? And if so, for which class?
I would definitely like to see some new secrets for the existing classes. I don't think every class needs secrets; but it seems like Rogue in particular and potentially Warlock getting them would fit with the flavor of the class.
I voted for another class - I feel the three current secret classes have a nice selection already, and I'd really like Rogue (suits the class well) or Priest secrets (in an expansion about cultists, it would feel right, I think). However, I don't believe this will happen - for secrets to work, the class needs to have access to at least 3-4 of them (and even 3 is kinda low), so either half the class's cards for the expansion are secrets, and then there is no secret support anymore for it, or they have to somehow include new secrets in the basic cards, which is unlikely.
On another note, anyone else feels the secret mechanic is kind of an odd fit for Paladin? In my mind, Paladins as a classical fantasy trope are about fighting fair, meeting opponents head on, whereas secrets feel slightly underhanded,,, Of course, it's been this way since launch, so we've gotten used to it, but it still irks me a little bit.
Love if they'd reconsider their stance on Rogue Secrets. Initially giving them Paladin's Secrets in combination with combo would've been really efficient but it also seems suitable around this time and it can cost whatever fits best, even if its the same cost as hunter or mages.

It's probably best if you don't let the word "Secret" color how you think of this game mechanic; it's really just an interrupt with a trigger. In terms of flavor, they picked a terrible name, and the terminology will always be jarring to a lot of people.
Mechanically, Secrets don't make more or less sense with any class compared to the others. You'll notice that the individual names of most so-called Secrets have nothing to do with secrecy, subterfuge or deception.
Hunter because every hunter secret has a different condition to trigger except for misdirection and explosive, and blizzard is really creative with these conditions. So I want new hunter secrets to see some new and creative trigger conditions.

That's a fair point. I do typically think of secrets as essentially trap / interrupt / counter cards. Even with a more technically-accurate name or description, I think the mechanic of the overwhelming majority of these cards fits very well with the flavor of the Rogue class, both in HS and in most RPGs.

I certainly agree.

I'd argue that Secret are not in Rogues flavor. Secrets are defensive measures. Mages has counter magic and defensive ice spells. Hunters deploy traps and ambushes around their sniping spot. Paladins have defensive wards, bubbles, and armors.
Warcraft Rogues are aggressive. There is no plan for defense with Rogues. Rogues just offensive in tactics, either bursting from stealth or grinding from damage.
As for secrets, both Mage and Hunter are due some good secrets.

Yes, for sure. I want to see new secrets for every secret class, especially now with Secret Eater has been announced.

IMHO secrets are the best class of cards in the game. I think it's a shame every class doesn't have access to this terrific mechanic.
