I don't think this card is good. Not for arena OR constructed - it gives you a 1/3 weapon so... what? You gonna play a 1/1 Pirate to get 1 charge damage? Seems beyond belief stupidly slow and thus' not valuable in the slightest.
So... why is it that folks think this somehow is magically good in arena?
It's clearly good in arena, playing something on turn one is already a big deal, and this can kill a 2 drop+provide the warrior pings, and if u ever played arena u know how good pings are, not to say it's pretty optimist to think you will always have a weapon to use before u finish swinging this one
Considering Pirates are a weapon-driven race, I hope there's more synergy to it. Only reducing Dread Corsair's cost by 1 is... Just a little bit underwhelming.
You get a body and a weapon...in no way does rusty hook need to be better. This is a one mana card, not a mid game bomb.
This Card on Rogue would make pirate rogue a real thing for sure, the synnergy with Bloodsail Raider would been insane, or a Turn 1 Bucaneer and Coin First Mate, This is for sure a great chance they missed for rogue to get a new archtype
No, it just make pirate rogue more viable. Sure its a good card, even if u give it to hunter,shaman,mage,warlock,paladin,druid because this card is such a good early tempo play. But this card will shine both in warrior and rogue, because they have Upgrade!Deadly Poison to make the weapon better. If its gonna be broken with rogue, its also will be with warrior. why? Because all existing Rogue pirate card is average, but the real synergy come with Basic/Classic pirate card.
This + deadly poison is way,WAY, WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYY better than upgrade, hell this would be almost an assassins dagger in rogue, plus that one mana would make combos + weapons buffs so easy and with so much durability it's not even funny, this in warrior is FAR from being as impactul as if it was a rogue card.
Phenominal Arena Card. It's hard enough to draft enough weapons for warrior so having an early game light's justice attached to a 1/1 for trading all for 1 mana is very much worth the cost of a card. Great tempo gaining and essentially almost always better than upgrade. As for constructed it's still a pirate card so if a pirate deck should ever emerge it's really not bad as it provides synergy for a turn 2 3/3 bloodsail raider as well as a body for Southsea captain to buff. As a common card with new set bonus I bet this card puts arena warrior on the map.

But I like the fact that blizzard has decided to introduce warrior exclusive pirate cards, just like back when they introduced murloc knight for paladin I was pleased that they weren't pigeonholing murlocs to be shaman.

Well, i have to somewhat agree with you that with deadly poison this is more impactful, but i feel that its much more useful in the case below, that depend on how you look at thing. I will always want to vote for more durability as the dmg increase, because this is a early card, for tempo play to clear small minion. if you want to really compare, than doing the maths will show you why i think they are about same.

IT is almost a better version of elven archer, in arena is obviously impactful.
