Very cool, but the main question is similar to that series of Youtube videos called "Will it blend?". Will it stick to the board long enough to make a (healing) difference? Its stats are good and I love any attempt to boost the control theme, especially in poor Shaman, but I am afraid that the good intentions will be simply laughed at by aggro decks. After all, remember that Healbot, Belcher, Zombie Chow and Loatheb are leaving Standard.
I hold my judgement on this card until I see the other Shaman cards added in this expansion. The other Shaman cards better be able to synergize with this...
If you hit a wisp for 5 damage it still heals 5 correct? If so, this and elemental destruction should consistently heal l close to Reno. Possibly heal more than Reno.
Nice stats, no overload.Still a bit skeptical people tend to overvalue healing personally I would prefer something to come back from a losing board or a way to activate totems (like a greater quartermaster)
A poor man quartermaster that requires 2 extra mana to activate instead of being a battlecry, gives no health not to mention there is no muster for totems with the upsides of having +1/+1 and the possibility to activate it multiple times over several turns (this can only happen if you opponent is AFK) is far from good.
Whenever you see a paladin summoning dudes you are "Oh sh.. I need to remove those little guys or I'm going to get fu.." Whenever a shaman summons a totem you are "ok".
Seriously is this people even playing the game or tried these cards?
You don't get it. I'm just saying that "a way to activate totems" Shamans already have it, as well as "a good standalone legendary".
Again, focus on the words "A GOOD WAY".If those cards are so good how come none of them are being played and shaman was the worst class for almost a year.
When was the last time you saw Al'akir, Neptulon or the Mistcaller being played in any decent rank?
This is still 5 mana though... so that means Lava Burst and double Lightning Bolt, but it only heals for 11...
Conclusion: Reno is still better.
Reno requires you to run a deck of all one of's which may be harder to do as we lose naxx and gvg. This fills a similar role but fits in a very different type of deck.

You do realize Quartermaster is rotating out, right? He's one of the OP cards this game is trying to phase out.
So no, you're not likely to see anything comparable for Shaman or any other class anytime soon.
A 4/6 minion that your opponent HAS TO remove is good even if its effect never triggers. Will you really complain when this guy eats a Fireball for you?

What are people talking about? This card is utterly broken OP!!
It will make control shamans in the same league as control warriors.
Now why would you think that, in terms of Life Gain, warrior is still the only class that can go over 30. In terms of removal this card doesn't actually remove anything. Warrior is strong because it can leverage it's life total as armor and use it as removal, through Shield Slam and Weapons, on top of tons of cheap removal, Execute, Slam, Bash and Brawl.
This one card can not fill all the roles, and I argue it doesn't even fill one of them.
The issue with your argument is that you're comparing warrior cards in interaction with this card, as opposed to shaman cards interacting with this card. This card, other then reno jackson, maybe even more so than reno jackson, is the best healing card in the game, due to the very fact that it synergises with shaman cards so well.
The main downside to this card is that it's weak against control decks, and arguably most other 5 drops in the game would take its place when facing control decks. But again, if you see this as a tech card to add against agro then this card can win you the game single handedly. Also, it's not a card you need to completely build a deck around, heck, the control shaman that existed up until now wouldn't change much, even after adding this card, so it's also a very good stand alone card.
If the claim is this single card will make a control Archetype for Shaman viable then you have to look at other control decks and see what makes them playable. A control deck needs a way to make it through the early game, life gain, removal, steady mid/lategame threats, and a finisher. If control shaman wasn't a thing before, then this card ALONE needs to reinforce all these rolls and you need to consistently have a way to play this card.
You lose on the last point alone, since there's no way to guarantee you even draw this card (1 of), and Shaman has arguably the worst card draw in the game.
I'll humor you on the other points though
- this card costs 5 mana, doesn't effect the early game
- This may be this cards best attribute, but as it requires interaction from other cards it's not consistent Life Gain
-This card doesn't remove anything
-This card is not a threat itself, it's effect is a little annoying, but it's not a must kill like Thuarssian or Ysera.
-This card is the antithesis of a finisher.
It's simple logic really.
If control decks require A,B,C,D,E, and F to be viable.
And Hallazeal doesn't fill the role of A,B,C,D,E and F.

If Brawl gave you 10 armor, but also costed 5 more it likely wouldn't be played. This is essentially what Hallazeal is when played with Elemental Destruction.
If Bash gained say 8 armor instead of 8, but costed 5 more it wouldn't be played.
This is essentially what Hallazeal does adds an additional cost of 5 on a removal spell, for a little life gain.
This one card can not fill all the roles, and I argue it doesn't even fill one of them.
Your bash comparison is pretty terrible and for a fair comparison if brawl costed 3 more and gave 15 armor then it would very very very much be played.
He adds cost to a removal spell for a LOT of life gain AND a body. A body I might add that needs to be dealt with. This card doesn't need to fill all the roles, I don't even know what roles you are referring to too. It gives you a nice board clear plus heal allowing you to continue to use your life as a resource as control decks need to do.
Will this single handedly make control shaman viable? That is a better question. It is only one card, but Shaman already has a number of other pieces. We'll have to see what else we get in this expac and then play around some.
Well this + elemental destruction will heal you for 20+ hp and most of the time clear the board for 8 mana, i think it's very very good, in some classes it would be insane but control shaman isn't popular this days. And for sure this card alone is the best revealed so far.

Furthermore, Reno doesn't allow you to remove minions as you heal. Hallazeal is likely to survive longer because you trigger him by destroying your opponent's board.

I'm baffled by how inflexible people are and yet ask for new cards.

Shamman continues to have insane healing cards. A potential 21-28 hp heal by lightning storm.
This will be good in aggro shammans too who needs a little more hp to push some more damage.

I'm happy with this legendary. :) Nothing too fancy, simple and nice.
Need to see the rest of the class cards, but we are off to a good start!

good card for control likes, u use spells to clean the board and live a lot longer, might frustrate a lot of people.
need take time to make new pic and signature using the new cards.
No overload? Not playable

Really? Not Therazane? First Benedictus and now you?
On the legendary itself, don't know if this is what a control shaman really needs. However, it might see uses.
This card + Lightning Storm/Elemental Destruction = ?
Possible Reno Shaman could appear.
