I know we haven't seen a ton of the new set yet but I'm starting to get nervous. Blizzard has abandoned archtypes before...
Outside of corrupted versions of dragons that are already in the game, is there any WoW lore from this area that would lend itself to a new Dragon card or cards?

I'm with you on this one. I really want to see more in the realm of Dragons. Thankfully, Ben Brode was in an interview with someone after they announced WoG, and he told them "this set contains at least 1 new Dragon." So we're in luck for an addition to the Dragon family :)
I would say that Cataclysm was the WoW expansion that focused most on the Old Gods. The Bastion of Twilight stands as a dark symbol of the Old Gods' burgeoning power on Azeroth. Theralion and Valiona are two Twilight dragons that were bosses in Bastion of Twilight. Sinestra, who created the first Twilight dragons would also be a possibility. Halfus Wyrmbreaker could be an interesting dragon counter card.

Deathwing is pretty much the 'Mona Lisa' in terms of Old God corruption, but we already have him in HS. Other than that, I wouldn't be surprised to see some more Twilight Dragons(creations of the twilight's hammer through collaboration with the corrupted black dragon aspects). Perhaps Sinestra as a legendary, prime consort of Deathwing turned broodmother to the twilight dragonflight.
I would expect Not-Named Dragons to either be of the Green Dragonflight (Ysera) or the Black Dragonflight (Deathwing). Lore nerds could make a Justicification for a Blue Dragon (Malygos) of some sort (Deathwing did make Malygos go Crazy afterall) However if its going to be Legendary I am pretty sure Murozond takes the cake.
Murozond is if Neltharian's (Deathwing) Corruption from the Old Gods took hold of Nozdormu as well. He remains as a primary Antagonist for the Bronze Dragonflight in the "Caverns of Time" dungeons. Besides, we need more Bronze dragons in this game anyway.
Kibler specifically asked blizzard if their would be any dragons, and they confirmed that there will be atleast one.
He said they responded with "dragons" ( plural! :D ) so I'm expecting more than one.
Yeah Kibler said they answered yes to dragons, so at least 2 :P What kind of dragons do you guys want to see anyway? I don't know if I want another high drop 7+mana, maybe some early or mid game one?

I want 6-cost dragons, it's a massive gap in most dragon decks atm imo.
On another note, I wonder if they'll introduce any more dragon synergy cards this year or if they'll let the archetype die off like mech has. I sincerely hope they keep it around for longer, it's easily my favorite type of deck.
Dragon decks will do really well in standard, as they lose zero core cards. Any WOOG card we get on top is just bonus :)
Unfortunately, once BRM rotates out in 2017 they'll all be wild decks. 7-8 cards is just too much to replace :( But hey, standard year 1 will be glorious!
What the hell is going on here? Why is everyone on this post thinking that every single little last detail about the Cataclysm has to do with the old gods? The Cataclysm expansion was heavily dragon themed, yet the only real old god themed dragon in the expansion or perhaps even the entire franchise is Deathwing. Seriously, what do any of the dragonflights have to with the old gods? And to answer that question, Deathwing was the one that corrupted whelps and turned them into the twilight dragonflight, not the old gods themselves. All of these names of minor dragons from Coldarra, Caverns of Time, and anywhere else on Azeroth I'm seeing has absolutely nothing to do with the next hearthstone expansion. Are people seriously forgetting the main antagonist during the Cataclysm and mixing it up with the people that write his paycheck; not to mention that they are barely exposed throughout the expansion? Aside from the dragon aspects and their tokens, where else in WoW do named dragons make an appearance alongside old gods? Certainly not in Ahn'Qiraj, not a single corrupted dragon in the storm peaks or Ulduar, and cloud serpents have literally nothing to do with Y'shaarj.
Stop thinking dragons. Do Hearthstone players even have any insight or clue about the franchise of the game they're playing? People asking and hoping for dragons in an old god themed expansion is whats going to make Hearthstone falsify everything we know about the Warcraft franchise and its lore.

dear alexiscoming,
to start off,
what does old god have to do with dragons? the answer is everything.
lets start from catalysm, since that seems to be the first time you play world of warcraft or any warcraft games in general.
deathwing was originally the dragon aspect known as the earthwarden neltharion, who was corrupted by yogg-saron, an old god, his prime consort was sinestra, who orchestrated the event behind twilight highland and cho'gall who was corrupted by c'thun, another old god, during twilight highland questline, you are to deal with a servant of the old god known as iso'kath, who was corrupting the red dragon flight, run by alexstrasza, oh look, a dragon. if you want to go deeper, there's also the battles of fireland and hyjal, whos final boss, ragnaros, worked for the old god and are fighting against the green dragonflight and trying to corrupt the ancients of the druids.
the emerald nightmare, in legion, corrupted many of the green dragonflight as well (this info was from both vanilla wow and legion as the emerald dream is the raid instance in legion): eranikus, a green dragon, and also the four emerald dragon of duskwood, ashenvale, hinterland, and feralas, they nightmare is spoken of by the box of yogg saron. of course, i can go back even further to the start of the corruption of staghelm (since he is the new majordomo of ragnaros who works for the old god), staghelm gone to the darkside basically since vanilla and didnt get caught till catalysm, he lost his son in the war of the shifting sand which was a war between the forces of the old god and its follower in AQ and the elves and the bronze dragonflight. Pretty sure that also set up the dragon versus old god thing as well.
now there's more, it is true that deathwing created the twilight drakes, but they are recovered by the blue dragon tyr in burning crusade with the help of the adventurers in netherstorm. but then they are sent to malygos who might have been corrupted by the twilight dragon's existence.
and then there's the infinite dragonflight, which is a storyline that exist from burning crusade, up till cataclysm with the end time instance. It is said that Nozodomu will be corrupted by the whispering as well in a possible future.
now then, what does the old god, the enemy of the titans when azeorth was created, have to do with the dragonflights, created by the titan to protect azeroth?
geez, maybe you can figure that one out on your own. But seeing you probably just pay someone to quest and level your character, you probably don't have a clue.

Basically what I got from that is that dragons are related to one event that are related to another event which in turn is related to yet another event related to the old gods. Seriously, that is literally all your post is, and literally my entire point. Dragons are too far off from being anything close to relevant to the old gods. Apparently you're overthinking the entire situation and probably even delusional about the Warcraft universe. Twilight dragon this twilight dragon that is your entire argument, but you're looking at such a broad picture.

I'll read "at least 1" as "1" until I'm proven wrong. That still seems too low, though.
Reading the wiki, apparently Nightmare is a tendril of Yogg-Saron? Could be a hint.

I hope so badly that they make a paladin dragon legendary........... !

If you're happy and you know it... well that's good :)
I think we need class dragon cards for those that haven't received them yet, such as Rogue, Druid, etc.

Nether Drakes, maybe?
Wants to play Captain Cookie Druid because why not?
ultraxion, kalecgos, wraithion, murozond, sinestra, chromie, korialstrasz, eranikus, soridormi are all possibilities.

There's a big chance fir a dragon card, but the dragon holding mechanic might not be reintroduced due to beong weird when brm cycles out.
