PLOT TWIST: As there is an "infested" theme already on most of them are on the weaker side compared to C'Thun's gang, I wouldn't put it far that we'd see something that worked with them, like buffing, reviving, gaining buffs or even summoning their cleansed counterparts.
So a 2/3 taunt is playable at like 1.5 mana maybe 1.75 at the most, and a 2/2 is playable at like 1 mana so at most you have like a 2.5 - 3 mana card at 4 mana.
Man they were careful to not make another shredder
however the way the stats layout it does well against aggro like face hunter and even zoo somewhat, maybe at a 2/4 it could see play but not like this.

Looking at it, it's basically 4/5 worth of stats with taunt for 4 (beats Senjin by 1), with the drawback of losing taunt at 3. Also not dying from a Fireball. I think it's stickiness can give it an edge over Senjin (though I can see playing it along with Senjin, they serve similar purposes, but this one's slightly stickier.
Taken in a vacuum, yeah it's kinda meh. But pare it in a deathrattle deck with Volazj and it can be decent (getting a 1/1 with taunt that spawns a 2/2 isn't bad).
not a 4/5, because at any point, its always has 2 attack presence
That's why I said 4/5 worth of stats. The same way you'd describe a Haunted Creeper as giving 3/4 worth of stats for 2 mana, even if the individual tokens aren't that powerful. It's looking at the value of the card.
Creeper is equivalent to a 1.5/4. It is not at any time similar to a 3/4,
As always, BLizzard can't just release OPOP cards for you guys. It's a good card. Not good enough for all those "yay, i am easy legend every season"-guys, but it is a fun card. Not only against aggro, but also for aggro. Protects stronger minions, can deal with light threats next turn, while more important minions don't have to trade.
If by good you mean worse than Sen'jin Shieldmasta then yes it is a good card.

For aggro, really? Dude it's a 4 mana 2/3 that summons a 2/2 token. No charge, no beast synergy, no nothing for Aggro decks.
Against aggro, it's completely useless because the Slime does not have taunt and again, IT'S 4 MANA. By that turn it gets run over and the slime just sits there for a turn. Why should I ever want to use this crap instead of a Senjin Shieldmasta?
A vanilla 2/2 would maybe be 1 mana by itself. A 2/3 with taunt would be 2 mana. Then we have to take into account the fact that this is deathrattle that summons another minion. That ability by might be worth the extra one mana? I suppose this can't be 3 mana or it is a strictly better Harvest Golem. 4 mana seems fair. Unfortunately, this probably won't see play, even though we're getting total stats of Chillwind Yeti at the same cost and a taunt out of it as well.
Value-wise the card is perfectly fine, but the stats suffer because of the budget it uses up for having taunt. As a non taunt version (or giving the slime taunt), it would have had a way better practical use, like a reasonable worthy 4 mana Harvest Golem. E.g. 2/4 with Deathrattle: 2/2 with Taunt or even 3/4 with 2/2 deathrattle (without taunt).
Another thing is that this, unlike Belcher, gets totally destroyed by silence... and also suppouse another bad discover option for our buddy Museum Curator. Unless there are some strong deathrattle synergy that balances this card flaws, will much likely not see future (why the hell did'nt the Slime got Taunt?).

That's like saying Sky Golem is a 10/8, Shredder is a 6/5, Harvest Golem a 4/4, Nerubian Egg a 4/6, Cairne an 8/10.
Really this minion is equivalent to a 2/6, with only half of that having taunt (I say 6 not 5 because you have to kill it twice, and that is, on average, worth about 1 hp).
a worse Harvest Golem
yawn

2/5 for 4 mana? Senjin is laughing at this card so is harvest golem

I'm still looking for a replacement for Deathlord. Will this be it?
Eehhh... it looks preeeeeeeetty bad. It's sticky. But 4 mana? Ugh. That doesn't fit my curve at all.
Very creative.
Oops...
Piloted Shredder has +2 attack and gives (usually) a better minion than a 2/2. Sure, shredder is OP but come on blizzard...
My custom Expansion: Wrath of The Lich King
wow this card makes me so sad. Senjin is way better to replace your belchers with.

Tazdingo trades this with ease.

Click to see my Hearthstone projects:
Harvest Golem is way better.
Mysterious Challenger : "Who am I? None of your business!"
Eater of Secrets: "Oh, I believe it is. You see, you are now my bitch!"
so basically its a -2 attack shredder thats summons a horrible-bad 2 drop yeah i think ill pass
A 2/4 stat would be much better IMO, Taunt minions should have high health stat for its existing purpose.
