any card can win for you the game if you play it at the right time
Most videos showing a finisher with King Krush are atypical. the main issue is he is slow in a class that often, when they do win, win before they even have mana to cast him. Turn 1-8 he is a dead card after all, and he can't really use him expect to do lethal damage, because if you don't you have used up all your mana to cast him.
It is a shitty card currently, yes. On the other hand, it makes an amazing entrance in the battlefield plus I get the sense that beast hunter is going to be a thing this time!!!! :praying:
He's not bad, but he's not good enough to see play. Hunter doesn't need a big turn 9 finisher because they don't have the cards for a control type deck that needs some reach. Even if they aren't agro, they don't play long games because they lack healing plus their hero power puts a bit of a timer on games against them. Couple that with their lack of good card draw and you just don't want cards that just sit in your hand until late game.
Yeah, because Leeroy is cheaper and 9 out of 10 times does the same thing, he's much more mana efficient than King Krush. I have used King Krush many times (I got my gold Hunter with a Krush finish) but I'm not going to argue he's a competitive card.
He's too in the middle, not exceptional at any one particular thing. Okay for removal, okay for burst damage, but okay is not good enough to make it into meta decks.
King krush is not really a bad card, it’s just far to slow in the meta right now. A smart rule is to not de any cards until after the next expansion as they might get changed or somehow find a place in the new meta to come. - Also King Krush has one of the coolest animations in the game when he comes into play :P
I think the best to think of this is with a comparison: Gromash Hellscream. Both cards have roughly the same stats all around but one is played in almost every deck of it class and one is never used. Thats because Big Dino is in a class that lacks support for long game strategies while Gromash is in worrier a class based around long strategic games. So it's not so much that is he bad, but he is not in a class that currently compliments him, had he been in warrior he might have seen more play.
Yes, he is bad. There's no deck that features this card, even those aren't competitive-oriented. Disenchanting it now might be a bad idea, though, since the add-on is going to be released quite soon and there's a slight chance Krush gets some value.
I wouldn't DE him. If my wife had him i would put him in her starter hunter deck...
He's not used in current decks because Hunters try to win by turn 8 generally.
He's not really 8 damage for 9 mana, because you can't fit a steady shot in which you would normally do on turn 8 with a hunter, so you're going to get 2 damage i no matter what. combine that with kill command for 3 mana, and you have 8 damage there for 5 mana total.
That's why King crush isn't good enough.
But... if control hunter ever becomes a thing... maybe.
So Midrange Hunter is kind of great, and many Midrange hunters curve all the way up to 8 mana to throw in Kel'Thuzad. So I guess I'm wondering... Why doesn't King Krush see play? Sure, at 9 mana, he's pricy, but KT isn't just pricy, it's also a card that does nothing to immediately close out the game, so the same turn you'd be feeling Krush's effects, you'd be merely half a round behind KT's, and that's assuming you did something like trade a Sludge Belcher*. And with that in mind, for a Midrange deck that likes to trade sparsely, does a lot of direct damage, and has enough big threats to draw out a decent amount of removal... Why am I never seeing Krush unless it's off a Ram Wrangler or Webspinner? Whenever it comes up through one of those, I'm rarely disappointed (even if I end up holding onto him for most of the game). Being able to just toss 8 damage onto the board and leave behind an 8/8 body is nothing to sneer at, particularly when you just need that last little burst against control or midrange builds.
So what am I missing? Why is King Krush seen almost universally as a garbage legendary? Worst case scenario, he gets BGH'd the next turn, but that's still 8 face damage, or removal against something like KT, a Giant, or an Antonidas. Seems to me like the Hunter equivalent to Pyroblast - so why do we never see it played?
*Don't get me wrong, I get why you play KT in Midrange hunter - he's incredible with all those sticky minions! I just don't get why KK doesn't get some love as well.

Leeroy Jenkins is far better as a finisher.
Corralling Murlocs...

When he gets wrangled by the Ram Wrangler, it usually forces a concession.
Free to try and find a game, dealing cards for sorrow, cards for pain.

As direct face damage, Leeroy Jenkins + Steady Shot do the same thing (8 damage) for less mana. As removal, Icehowl does better. So yes, King Krush is not good enough.

Krush is not bad. It is just that hunter cannot support him. On turn 9, hunters have hand.
Hunter has no good card draw.
If you draw him early, he clogs up your precious hand. And you might never draw him in 3 games.
i dont think so. mb king playing is next patch so good
If therell be a beast oriented control hunter ever, krush will propably see play. At the moment it lacks synergie.
King Krush is my only golden legendary. I have never used him. Nuff said.

Leeroy + Hero power is much better in most cases.
Yeah, he's just too slow. As a finisher, great but otherwise he's very limited ito when he can be effective
One of the coolest entries though...
Missing lethal since June 2015.
