I feel kind of stupid to say it but I don't understand how C'Thun can do OTk when they can do only 12 dmg with brann combined.
12 Damage is really good but it's not a OTK damage
You know it gets buffed by the cultists before it gets played, right? And the damage it deals equals the attack of the buffed C'Thun. Watch the announcement stream.
I would be wiling to bet that there will be at least one or two cards that will give a -1/-1 or similar effect to "curb" the cultists attempt at the old god resurrections.
It will definitely be playable. You can compare this to Malygos decks - you run several mediocre cards in your deck to then get a OTK.
So far, the cards don't seem to be bad either. The 3/4 is very solid (compare to Spider Tank in Mech Mage) and a 2/3 vanilla is okay aswell. I don't think you need to sacrifice a lot in order to make C'Thun work. Then, when you can play it, it might not be a OTK, but there is no need for one since it is a free boardclear with a huge body. If it clears the enemy board and hits as a 10+/10+, your opponent will be in a quite bad state and needs to have a hard removal, which he might not have anymore since you already could have dropped stuff like Ragnaros and other class legendaries.
Once he reaches 8/8, it seems like he begins to break the threshold. Avenging Wrath is a 6 mana and eith the other 4 you are getting essentially a giant out, and that's wrapped in one card instead of two. At 8/8 with 8 damage battle cry it is comparable to Ragnaros. Ragnaros is 3 mana less but his damage is often may wasted on overkill, can't attack, but goes off every turn until dealt with. Very comparable. Ragnaros isn't played as much now but saw some play in vanilla and may see more upcoming.
Plus all you need to do for that is play one 2-drop (2/3 as well, so not terrible stats), and then draw C'Thun. Think about what would happen if you managed to get him off bigger than that.
I thought I heard it said that the buff is on the player and not on C'Thun. And as for Mind Vision,Thoughtsteal, and Convert they all say "copy of" but Entomb says enemy minion.
All the Cultist's say wherever Your C'Thun is. As worded this would affect your C'Thun even if it wasn't in your deck, showing the C'Thun animation even in arena if you don't have C'Thun which could be a useful bluff.
If Cultist's continue to buff your C'Thun even after it has been Entombed then the Cultist Deck becomes worthless.
The buffs doesn't say YOUR Cthun, so buffing him is double edges sword.
Really man?. The other cards literally say "give your C'Thun...". Please, next time just take some few seconds of your time to check things like this before posting them as facts, it costs nothing...
I like cards that need to build a deck around them. Wanna use it? Add some Cultists and Brann and whatever. Can it be wincondition? Not against Warrior with tons of armor but can destroy some damaged heroes.
9/10 of all situations you face a damaged hero without armor.
Yesterday i post to in wich classes a Ctun class will be more viable. And searching for cards that we already have in standar i rediscover Naga Sea Witch . She may have great synergie with the old C'Thun In turn 5 it means you have to kill her or risk a turn six Day of the Tentacle. Also a 5/5 for 5 is not that bad. in latter turns she can be also useful. At least is a must kill at best a Cthun launcher.

I don't think the Naga + C'tun would be a very OP combo, at least if you play on curve.
His body and Battlecry increases by each follower played, and I don't think Blizzard would be crazy enough to make too many cheap ones.
Let's say your opponent is unable to remove both Beckoners, you get a 28/28 body and 28 damage battlecry, but if they are removed immediately you get a 14/14 and 14 damage battlecry.
(...)
Actually that's pretty OP, but very unlikely you will have these cards on curve.

Be interesting to see how it might fair in a ramp druid build.
When I looked up "Ninjas" in Thesaurus.com, it said "Ninja's can't be found" Well played Ninjas, well played.
Varian Wrynn part 2.

Need Clarification on this.

People will use this with Emperor Thaurissan or Naga Sea Witch, trust me. 10 mana is hard and easy to counter.
Plus, battlecry will be null if it is summoned involuntarily by let say.... Deathlord, Ancestor's Call, Varian Wrynn, or Alarm-o-Bot
Still interesting though.
