Its just that the way it interacts with C'Thun is weird in particular so it might still be different. Also I'm assuming that Ganging up a C'Thun won't have the dupes buffed.
As I understand it, sap effects always replace the returned card with a fresh new copy. Absolutely nothing can carry over because it's actually removing the old one from the game and inserting a new one.
Gang Up is similar -- all the added cards are fresh new copies. Obviously they will gain buffs from subsequent Beckoners, but they will always lag behind the one in play.
The only thing that will copy the buff effect is something like Faceless Manipulator.

Do the buff apply to C'thuns f your opponent as well? (Deck, board and hand)
The card is very slow though, worse Anyfin...
No, it specifically says only "your" C'thun is affected.
The comparison to Anyfin is a decent one, although even without boosts, a 6/6 for 10 doing 6 damage split randomly when it comes into play is not unplayably bad. It doesn't absolutely require the cultists if you have only a few in-deck and happen not to draw them.
Will be interesting to play around with, especially if they do indeed nerf BGH.
This mechanic is so bad, who wants to play to 2 mana 2/3 vanillas, that lose you mid/early game just to push 1 10 mana card in your deck. This is even more a joke than insprire, at least its free cards.

I believe you are wrong there. IMO, a 10-mana card needs much more than that! Another comparison is Rhonin which is actually faster (8mana) and can usually do his split damage (3x Arcane Missiles) earlier on top on some very strong mage synergies. Still, he is not really competetive... Anyfin has an insane damage potential, and is stronger than both imo.

It appears the C'Thun buff works like recent brawl auras and is actually applied to the player, not the card, so Shadowstep and Gang Up are both insane with it. Noxious confirmed this.

I was going to be all, "He said he isn't privy to any information that wasn't in the announcement," but then he said he had specifically asked the developers about this. Oh, Noxious, get your story straight!
Anyway, this is good to know.

People are forgetting that in standard this doesn't have to compete with broken cards like Shielded Minibot or Haunted Creeper so River Crocolisk stats are completely reasonable. Especially when you have late game as insane as C'Thun.
Has there been confirmation that C'thun keeps its stats when you return it to your hand?
Experiments we're made with Mistcaller, and using Shadowstep on a minion removed the bonus stats from Mistcaller, so im guessing it applies here too

Ok, so actually, i looked it up, and apparently C'Thun retains his stats, even when he's KILLED. Aka, a C'thun could die with 20/20 worth of stats, and a priest could ressurect it, and it'd be a 20/20. So at this point i dont even know.........
Thats amazing. I'm assuming then that means you can buff him after he dies too. Hilarious

Yeah, that was confirmed pretty quickly. C'Thun is quickly turning out to be my new favorite card, so glad we all get a free one, and i think all my dust will be spent making a deck for this guy
Now consider what the other three Old Gods might do :3
Is the only card that has the watermark/ symbol of the ampliation in her text box?
I didn't have a signature so Flux added one for me.

Does the (wherever it is) mean C'Thun gets +2/+2 everytime, even if it is not in the deck? If it is part of my collection it definitly is anywhere!
