These are the kind of cards that Control decks really need. They have a large enough drawback that aggro and midrange decks do not want to run them, however are very aggressively costed. Control decks aren't going to care about the opponent having a big heal if they have a 6/6 that they can maintain board control with. People who compare this to zombie chow are mistaken. Zombie chow would take 3 swings to the face to net 1 damage over it's deathrattle. The healbot only needs 2 swings to net 4 damage over the deathrattle. it should also be pointed out that there are no other 5 mana cards that trade 1 for 1 with this card, which is a big deal. I look forward to seeing this card in the control decks that fight for the board.

However, I totally agree with you. Control doesn't have to be purely about removal, trading is a legitimate way to control the game, even more so for priests who can leverage their hero power so much more with board presence. Personally, I am eagerly awaiting playing this in Control Priest.
Give it 3 months and this guy will be in... less than 5% of Priest decks.
Priests don't need a 5-drop. Priests need a 1, 2, 3-drop.
Also, Zombie Chow was good because you could combo it in one go while also being the best 1 drop. Against any board massing deck this is a 6/6 that has toget through a voidwalker or the likes.
And the new combo is...auchenai + corrupted healbot + shadow word death for a whooping 8 damage 12 mana?
1- I'm certainly going to try and make it work, even if i have to try for a long time.
2- Priests have 1,2 and 3 drop options. Northshire Cleric, Museum Curator and maybe even Twilight Elder? (Priest never had a decent finisher and C'Thun fits pretty well)
3- The combo is stupid I'll give you that. However i'm seeing the Corrupted Healbot suicide into something just after you play Auchenai Soulpriest. just the threat of Auchenai can make it a pseudo taunt, and that is fantastic
Tough to see this thing making the constructed cut, as many people have said, anywhere but Preist or a REALLY slow deck. The stats simply aren't insane enough, in my mind, to see play. Zombie chow got play because it was huge tempo. This has an even bigger drawback for at be most, the same tempo boost.
It might see play in Anyfin paladin, considering their INCREDIBLE burst.
Any deck with massive burst might consider playing this, as 8 health doesn't heal you out of range of otk's. That being said, it's risky to play this against a healing deck.
Even in a midrange deck, I'm perfectly fine playing this card. In the early-to-midgame, you don't particularly care about their life-total, only board control. I would say something about how this card eats Sludge Belcher, but he's leaving us :p
And certainly, with a 6/6 body and the allure of restoring 8 health, this card would be traded into and usually eat up all the removal, leaving your other threats possibly scott-free

Why are people pretending this garbage is good? Its literally just Pit Fighter with +1 attack, and a huge drawback. And the +1 attack isnt worth the drawback, since going from 5 attack to 6 attack isnt too important (there arent too many 6 health minions that are widely played - MC and DotC are the main ones, certainly not enough to make that drawback worth it). And Pit Fighter isnt even close to being viable in constructed, absolutely zero decks run it, or would even consider running it. This card is slow as hell, has very little value, and will never, ever be played.
In Arena its decent. Pit Fighter is a perfectly good card in Arena and this is worse then Pit Fighter, but not much worse. Its ok and will be picked sometimes.
Are you just not going to play 5 drops in standard then? This card isnt great in most decks, but in a slow enough deck, without belcher or loatheb to cushion the 5 slot, why not? It eats pit fighter and azure drake, so it seems pretty strong to me considering those are the only two neutral 5 drops I can even think of worth playing in standard.

The 5 drops that get played in constructed are those that cohere tightly with the theme of the deck, rather than just having "good stats". Druid of the Claw gets played because it lets you stable against aggro, Azure Drake gets played because it cycles, etc. Cards which just have decent stats almost never get played - Chillwind Yeti was sometimes played pre-Naxx but wasnt great, Spider Tank/Pit Fighter/etc were never played. Having +1 attack just isnt that great.
Which decks do you think would play this? Its too slow for aggro, too meaningless for control, and although in theory it fits into Mid Range decks, they typically want something more than just nice stats. And if they did want a good 5 drop, Pit Fighter would be a lot better since it doesnt have the draw back (and PF never gets played)
Unless there are more cards to be released that synergise with "healing your opponent", it seems like a gimmicky attempt at a Priest card, that is just too niche to ever see play. Its not bad as filler I guess (decent Arena card that will never be played in Constructed) but the fact they would pick it out as one of the 6 cards chosen to highlight the announcement of the new set is quite worrying.
You arent thinking standard. Pit fighter is likely going to start seeing some play since the only playable alternatives outside of druid and mage are azure drake, djini and this. Standard won't be like the format you see today. There wont be a perfect fit in every slot for every deck.
For all the people saying that 6 attack is not that great over 5 attack (especially with the repeated comparison to Pit Fighter), 5 attack cannot kill Druid of the Claw, Water Elemental, Reno Jackson, Mysterious Challenger, and Twilight Guardian outright, to name some meta picks. There have been plenty of times where I personally wished a minion had one more attack to cleanly kill off a minion so that I didn't have to spend extra mana on a spell or my hero power to get rid of stragglers.
Whether the deathrattle might be worth the extra attack is purely based on the decks that want to run this card, but it's not "just 1 attack". With the number scaling that this game has, that +1 attack can mean the difference between a 2 for 1 and a 1 for 1.
It also has mech synergy, but with GvG being phased out, only the remaining cards coming out will show how important that will become.
I cant believe some people say this is 'too gimmicky' for Priest. 8 face damage is a gimmick? It very easy to follow this up with an Auchenai, then run it into something big, and/or use Flash heal, circle, Justicared'up hero power to kill it for 8 face damage. Even if the combo fails, greedy opponents will waste resources to get that big heal off, so it makes their game plan more predictable. Its also harder to kill but rewards only 3 HP more than Zombie Chow.
If you dont play Priest, I dont blame you fir not seeing how wonderful this card is. But it is. Its a priest staple.
This. I don't think ayone else mentioned this. Corrupted Healbot is a mech, so it can be synergized with other mech cards in Wild, Arena(not completely sure about non Standard cards in Arena though), and Tavern Brawl (Mechwarperas an examle). Too bad most of the mech cards are gone from the Standard format.

I'm expecting another neutral card in the set that synergizes with this thing, but right now, it's below average.

Mid-range priest looks viable...then again with velens chosen going to wild, theres still a little bit more needed.

Hey, how's it going?
What's poppin,' player?
Zombie Chow gets +1+2 for 5 heal, this gts +1+1 for 8 heal = 20 Dust.
If anything I would play pit fighter over this card, i mean 6 attack is not that great over 5 attack
The syringe gun looks cool, reminds me of the tf 2 medic.
Trash.

All the decks I make are Theorycraft. Why? Because they are what I wish I could make if I had all the cards. *sob*
...It's also fun making decks.
I am sick to death of mech decks, so I'm glad it has a drawback that scares people.

Don't forget about wild mode. Its cost can be decreased by 1-2 mana.
