I've recently been thinking about putting azure drake in my paladin deck (mainly because it's a combo deck and I need lots of card draws). I feel like this isn't the most popular idea, as azure drake is pretty much only played by mage, rogue, shaman, priest and druid. (Not that it's not a popular card, but I don't think I have ever seen a pally play it outside of arena.)
So I would like to hear your opinion: is a 5 mana 4/4 draw one (ignoring spell damage and tribe) constructed-worthy?
Several players have used Azure Drake in mid-range paladin. It doesn't have a lot of synergy, but is really a decent card for 5 mana. It really depends on how defensive you are trying to be at the 5 mana slot.
How often do you find yourself pairing Consecration with Equality? (You might not do so if you want to clear the enemy and preserve your own minions' health.)
If your deck prefers to use that combo, then Azure Drake is not a good option; take Divine Favor instead. If you more often play Consecration by itself, take the Drake.

This is basically why AD isn't played in Paladin decks.
Even if Divine got nerfed, we will see blessing of wisdom used instead, a 1 mana cycle is good and you might draw a 2nd card. You can also bless an enemy minion! Azure Drake no good right now as it dies to shredder, I don't run it in any decks.

Divine favor makes zero sense in a combo deck. Solemn vigil is a much better card for apaladin combo deck. For 6 mana you get equality consecration and solemn vigil (if that kills 5 minions).

Don't you think having 3 cards in hand and killing 5 minions is a bit too conditionnal to be good?

I sure do. Solemn Vigil is terrible, compared to any of the Paladin's other draw options.
Divine Favor would not work very well at all in your standard combo deck that's hoarding cards and trying to build up a full combo in their hand before unleashing it. That being said, Azure Drake isn't particularly great either, as it only gets you one card and has synergy with almost none of the cards in the paladin spell book. I would look into something like Coldlight Oracle or Acolyte of Pain if you are looking for minions that draw you cards for a paladin deck. And of course a combo of 1 x Divine Favor and 1 x Lay on Hands always worked well for my midrange paladin decks.
And divine favor makes sense in a combo deck? You're far more likely to see solemn vigil in anyfin over divine favor.
I did not mean use it in combo deck. I was specifically talking about the Equality + Consecration combo, which is used in many Paladin decks of all speeds and styles.
Azure drake is good if you can use the spell damage and the card draw, and it's not as good if you only need the draw. I wouldn't say it is bad in paladin, but I think there are probably stronger options.

What kind of deck are you playing? combo pally seems pretty unorthodox. Anyfin pally?
It's difficult to answer the question without knowing what kind of deck it is. Assuming it's Anyfin Pally, Lay on Hands is just way better.
try Divine Favor

Azure Drake is ok in Paladin, 3 damage consecrate is nice as at that point in the game 2 damage is often not quite enough.
The problem is the only other spell that really benefits from the spell power is Hammer of Wrath, which is a rather mediocre card.

In my opinion,
For control paladin : Lay on Hands > Solemn Vigil > Acolyte of Pain > Azure Drake > Divine Favor
In aggro Divine Favor will draw your deck so you wont need another draw.
...There is just no way that happens...
