So I saved all the dust I got from all the shitty rares I got from my boosters and made a control shaman deck that I'm really happy with. But I'm questioning the use of Unbound Elemental (I know there is a way to like link it or whatever, but IDK how don't use this site much.)
I'm wondering what people think of it. It's a 3 cost 2-4, that gets +1+1 whenever you play a card with overload. At first I thought that it would be great because I have so much of it in my deck. But it just ends up being such a magnet for removal, and silence, that I'm not sure about it anymore. It seems really good if you get it early, but I've drawn it a few times after turn 10 when I've used a lot of my overload stuff already and felt like it was a waste.
I decided to try out taking one out and putting an earth elemental in instead. So far its going well, if I get it early it still gets out of control and tends to win me the game, but if I get it lane now I have the extra threats from the elemental to force them to get rid of one or the other. But I'm still wondering if I should put back in the second one, but now I really like only having one.
The fun thing about shaman is, every card on its own is quite gamebreaking if not taking account for the turn after they were played. And they still continue to be a big threat when they get (re)buffed with windfury/rockbiter. That said; it won't hurt to have 2 earth and 2 unbounds in your deck. Both are good drops for 5(3) respectively 3.
