I I'm an old casual player who came back about 2 months ago after a 3 years or so break and found myself an N'zoth Rogue deck I really enjoy in wild.
Problem and I shit you not, about 80% of my match up have been against the same braindead Priest archetype that just copy my cards h24 will having 2 or 3 other win conditions. dragging games to 30min duels where a single amount of luck just auto win them the game.
I'm fin with counters, that's abviously part of the game but why is everyone playing that same thing it just boring as hell at this point... heck how do they even play in mirror match up? is there anything that counter it? so far I barrely see some other decks like a bunch of mage and chaman.
What you describe sounds like a combination of low MMR (seeing bad decks) and bad luck (always seeing the same version). First of all, what you see are NOT meta decks, or even good decks. I can assure you that Priest has better things available than just copying cards from their opponent.
For some reason, the more casual players on lower MMR LOVE playing an endless parade of randomly generated/discovered cards (or copied cards) and hamming it up with Prince Renathal, sometimes even Prince Malchezaar, and (frequently) Reno cards. Priest and Mage are the most popular classes for this playstyle, Rogue is also common, and other classes could potentially do something similar. You just happened to encounter a few more Priests.
As I said, these are not exactly good decks, but for some people, they are the most fun. I'd recommend you to play something that beats them most of the time, until you find yourself in an environment where you see opponents with different strategies than "random stuff go!". Though fair warning, you might not like what you'll find a bit further up the ladder either.
As for counters, your best bet would be aggressive or combo decks, where you either win the game before the tons of random value overwhelm you, or where it plain doesn't matter what they play because you end the game in one turn anyway.
The best way to not have games last 30 minutes is trying to win them sooner. Or concede when you see it isn't going anywhere.
Imagine thinking Thief Priest is a problem in Wild! LOL
Just wait until you face a never ending onslaught of Shadow Aggro Priest, Demon Seed Warlock, or any kind of good Rogue deck! Then you’ll wish for more Thief Priest opponents.
There are so many more decks in the format that are much bigger problems than Thief Priest.
Thief priest?? Do you even play wild? By far, the worst agressors are aggro shadow priest and pirate rogue, both deleting you before turn 4. Demon Seed lock is a close contender, but at least they likely wont kill you before turn 7.

Those are Tier 1 tho and games are decided quickly based on answers.
He's talking about games where the Priest just stalls until they kill you with Raza into Shadow Reaper/Lone Ranger Reno after copying your cards.
Complaining about Priest which has 2 ladder-viable archetypes when Rogue has 4.
lol. lmao even.
e: fine, for the sake of putting some effort into it:
The answer is 'no'. Priest is only midrange in terms of cards that are so powerful that they will continue to warp the meta around them. It can lead to issues with a power spike in new expansions, sure (United in Stormwind broke Hunter & Warrior for example).
Currently classes that have too many cards that overperform would be Warlock (Demon Seed, Mass Production, Infernal), Druid (Oaken Summons, Wildheart Guff) & Rogue (long list of unreasonably good cycling tools Rogue has goes here).

Imagine shoehorning your own gripes into a thread and derailing the topic instead of actually answering a question.

Imagine thinking I did that? Posted title is about Priest ruining Wild. I told him no, and gave examples of decks that are much better and more egregiously “ruining wild”. They want ways to beat that deck? Play a better deck. Is that not answering the topic?

The question isn't really what is or is not "ruining wild" despite the title, is it? When someone, allegedly, faces a certain deck "about 80% of matchups", the question they probably want to have answered is "is there anything that counter it?". Or am I just imagining things?
With that in mind, I think saying that deck xyz is "a much bigger problem" doesn't really help someone stuck in a pocket meta where it doesn't really matter what they might face if they progressed much further, which they apparently can't right now.
Also, saying "play a better deck" is not quite as instructive and helpful as you might think (aside from you not having said that).
To me, it's all just white noise at this point when people complain about "broken" things, especially in Wild. It's almost always nonsense. So, when someone complains about a deck that actually isn't particularly good but still ruins their day, I see it as a great reminder that the game is a little bigger than "the meta", and can be frustrating to newcomers/returning players even long before they get to the ever depressing 5-legend grind, which so many people see as the only relevant portion of the game.
So, I think this topic deserves better than permantenly miserable people just naming their most hated decks that are "the real problem", and resort to "git gut". But I admit that I am part of the problem, because I want the internet (and people, and the world) to be something it so obviously will never be. Managing expectations and all that. Life can seem like such a waste...
If there’s anyone miserable here, it’s not me. Def seems like you might be. Also weird that you singled me out for my response when looking back I’m clearly not the only one to do so.
Again, I’m not miserable and you won’t make me that way either. Go troll someone else.

Hey. I've played HS since beta and had untill recent time 3-4 years pause. Back couple months ago.
Nowadays I played wild (EU) with different decks and i did not encounter your problems.
May be, try with another deck.

Battleground Duos is where its at for me! I recommend trying Standard. You'll probably do better there.
What is/was your star bonus in Wild?

Just concede when matched with a priest like I do. Life is too short
