Similar to Stealer of Souls last expansion, this one card has resulted in the death of control and reno archetypes. Only viable options now are hyper aggro, dark glare, or Mozaki. Similar to Stealer of Souls, The Demon Seed needs a nerf. This one card can consistently end game by turn 6.
I dont know, why they didnt fix it yet. Its almost impossible to reach turn 7-8. Additionaly, it can damage you with fatigue. That was always the downside of fast drawing decks. Even Iceblock couldnt prevent fatigue. Now if you are lucky enough to live until turn 8, they just use something like Backfire and deal 3 dmg to your face from the card and like 10 from fatigue. Fuck that shit lol...
togeather with darkglare and flesh giants. i love walock and i have all class cards but this is so wrong.
zoo used to be board control deck, handlock/control (reno) lock was thing since 2014 in some way but now, everything except one deck is dead. its just sad and wrong.
What's different than darkglare warlock ? You're gonna tell me before they printed the demon seed you could play trash control decks and try to outvalue your opponents and not die by turn 6 ? No you couldn't, cause you'd get killed by darkglare warlock, which kills the demon seed warlock by the way.
Come on now. Wild is fine an you are just a dirty standard player trying to push your anti-combo agenda. Control decks haven't existed in this format for many years. There's like rez priest in bronze, odd warrior in silver and that's pretty much it.
Also people stop complaining about the fatigue variant of the demon seed cause that deck is absolute garbage compared to zoo demon seed, I'm embarassed for you when I read stuff like "oh my god they backfire and then deal 10 damage from fatigue" like that match was over a long time ago my friend if you let the warlock get to fatigue LOL.
First off: You aren't wrong. But like any meta, I found some ways to continue to ladder through and past that miserable degenerate deck. Currently sitting at Diamond 3 and it's now the usual Secret Mages and Paladins I've always loathed. I had good luck with Odd Pirate Warrior, with a couple things being pretty key to pulling it off: One is properly timing when to equip the Bulwark of Azzinoth to maximize it's charges. Another is determining if you can afford to wait until Bran is playable with Rokara or not, as that changes some tactics.

it made darkglare zoo 1000% more popular. before quest, there was little of it in wild ladder, now its more popular than secret mage.
its not mainly about reward imo, deal 6 dmg heal 6 is huge part for them (cause using their health as resource), quest reward its there just for "lategame" push - making hyper aggro deck good in lategame also. after playing its reward, with crystalizer you gain 5 armor and deal 5 to your oponent. with 1/3 body for 1 mana. stuff like this wasnt possible in darkglare warlock before and its ussually game ending.
so you have to play hyper aggro against it or combo/otk to kill them. its almost impossible to survive with slower deck (which was possible before).
for example, with pirate warrior quest is similar, that late game push in matchups where you run out of steam, i tried it and it can win games which you would lose before.
and thats it, these quests just gave aggro decks unfair advantage against any type of slower decks. even secret mage isnt that good today.
I've been playing nothing but quest mage for the past week since warlock struggles against ice block. It's not a deck I particularly enjoy playing but I feel it's that, warlock, or shadow priest at the moment until something changes.

mozaki mage works also. ofc, when oponent have strong highroll you probably lose but its still strong. cause they damage themself too much you often dont need "full" combo, just biscuit and few damage spells.

This man really typed out the phrase “wild is fine” without a shred of irony.

Yeah he did and he is not sorry for his opinion or his enjoyment of the format, he also typed quite a bit of context around that sentence. This man would like to hear this man's thought on this man's opinion, why doesn't this man agree with this man ?

I like how Ice Block one of the most hated cards in history has now become woke.
I guess it's refreshing to see people in Wild vilify other classes than mage.
Been at least a week since i've seen a complaint against secret mage. I guess that's because they win against demon seed so everyone be like wait we don't hate mage it was just a joke

That will probably work good too. I don't usually play that deck because of how bad it feels to lose games simply because you never draw your one of card. Quest mage is at least more consistent feeling to me.

Cant even break the combo with Dirty Rat or Mutanus the Devourer because the deck is full uf whack ass minions.
Was there at least some info if a nerf is planned?

I don’t think they care. Our opinions don’t matter, only numbers do, and quicker matches is the only design they seem to have in mind.

They already said they are discussing nerfs, and we should see them later this week.

Warlock has found a recipe for that too. 1 copy of Curse of Rafaam, to bypass Ice Block.
The Questline is fine.
Darkglare and Stealer of Souls are the problem.
And maybe the Fleshgiants.
That's why I play standard after a really long time along with Battlegrounds (when I get tired of warlocks). :D
I know, it doesn’t change anything. Tickatus is all the proof needed that long control games won’t be on the menu again.
