Blizzard could just ban ‘Stealer of souls’ from use in wild mode, then same way they prohibit certain cards like ‘tour guide’ from use in duels.
No nerfs, no limitations on future card design, no more malignant wild breaking BS. Everyone wins (except the tumors that abuse this strategy, but they’re the problem anyway so still a net win) !
Better idea would be to just rework the card a bit to say give it the "Battlecry: Your next drawn minion costs health instead" effect instead. That way it's not so ridiculous. One free minion can still be decent value while not overwhelming players in a single turn.
Here is a better idea, just make paying health go through immune. MTG already has rules in place surrounding similar scenarios (Paying health, losing health, and taking damage are considered three separate things).
I could play the warlock brainless deck in solid gold...but why? I had 1000+ wins with all nine toons 3 years ago. I had a legend cardback 7 years ago. I'm already 190 on the RT and own everything in the game. I'm still trying for the last mini set achievement of 4 adventures with party up and I have to play the short bus kiddos who so desperately want a cardback they cant possibly get the normal way. I just rope every turn and do other things. I had d5 on the second of the month. I play for the achieves and free packs. legend hasn't meant anything since they made it practically braindead to get when they changed the ladder. Some people are just meant to be laughed at.
If I get my cards in the deck I made for the achievement I can have a 12/12 on turn 3 and they lose anyway...
The problem is wild is such a bore seeing the same trash over and over and over. yawn and rope are about all it is.
You're a way bigger problem than an OP deck or the people that play it. Roping every turn because you don't like the deck you're playing against is immature baby bullshit. And you're calling the other players "short bus kiddos". Hilarious.
If there's a problem with a deck, your ire should be directed at Blizzard, not those that play it. Most people play to win, and most of the time that means playing the strongest deck. This isn't anything new, nor is it a bad thing. The deck might be a bad thing, sure. But that's on Blizz.
"Some people are just meant to be laughed at." Yeah, I was sort of thinking the same thing. 🤔
Will they ever remove this free-cost bullshit from the game? Either the 0 mana spells that don't start at that cost, too much mana cheating on early turns, or the infinite amount of cards played for health instead of mana while immune. There is always something with these morons.
Man, i wish i could fire the designers of this bullcrap.
I have experienced by now that devs keep overlooking overpowered cards, but it's simply beyond my understanding how a group of people who ACTUALLY works on the game can not realise the potential of a card like Stealer of Souls. The moment I saw this card my thoughts were 'oh my god this will break the game with Plot Twist and Malganis.
or they could nerf Stealer of Souls to "the first card drawn in your turn costs health instead of mana"
no ban needed and dust refund, and also kills this sick deck
Yup, haven't touched wild yet, still waiting for its nerf. Good chance itll come in the next few days. My friends also agree.
Wow, your friends agree? Well, then it's alright.
On a more serious note, easy nerf, just make animations SLOWER, problem solved Kappa.
The real issue is them releasing it as it is, so they either knew it could and would likely break wild, but didn't give a rat's ass, or they just couldn't tell, which means gross incompetence. You pick.
I don't know why Blizz is always so bad in card design. Everyone here on the forum talked about this broken combo as soon as the card has been released.
The only dumb that didn't see the combo was Blizz.
I pity the fools that have given and lost money to blizzard. If I would have paid single dime to blizzard I would feel super violated since game have been super retard since time of shudderwok, so any money purchase would feel like a theft.

Good suggestion
just make everything a 3 mana 2/3 'your Charge minions have +1 Attack' problem solved
or they could nerf Stealer of Souls to "the first card drawn in your turn costs health instead of mana"
no ban needed and dust refund, and also kills this sick deck
Make it "cards drawn with your hero power cost health instead of mana".

that's interesting, making it apply only to minions screws with combo too, and doesn't kill the card

This is literally against what the format wants to do... Nerf everything in wild if it can make multiple cards free consistently
Silver Hand Recruit

This card is just stupid and one of the many many reasons I won't ever pay blizzard again.
If I play tickatus warlock in standart and discover it first turn I never had a chance of losing. Impossible

Maybe stop playing wild if it is too wild for you.
Get good.
