i have genuine curiosity...what kinda child trauma or some shit that you went through that makes you wanna play this deck? like seriously i think its the most degenerate anti fun deck ever, you basically bind your opponents hands and subject them to the severe mental anguish for the duration of the game. i mostly just concede when i found out its a mill rogue player. recently i did manage to beat a few of them because i had a really good hand.
thats the worst thing about it, when it works it just disables you so utterly that you cant do ANYTHING! stealthed hero, immunity secret, freezes even sometimes they manage to have 10+ armor now, i recently switched to wild i always loved playing hand buff paladin, and im enjoying it so far as long my opponent isnt rogue.
Well when I see nothing but big priest for 10 games in a row it is fun. But focus on the cards in your hand not the ones in your deck. Aggro will have an easier time with mill but it is not a guaranteed win. I used to play it almost exclusively for about 3000 wins on rogue. Knowing the meta is the biggest advantage playing mill. If your playing priest dump a couple control cards for thoughtsteel. Had to take out stabby stab stab because of that card. But focus on the cards in your hand. It will help.
People play it because it is fun to play and has an extremely high skill ceiling. Not easy to play and lots of decision making, and some people like playing that way. It can also be satisfying to burn the opponent's win condition. If you really think it is an "anti-fun" deck, try playing it yourself. You will get stomped by a lot of real anti-fun aggro token cancer decks, like call to arms paladin, pirate warrior, and token druid.
Also, if you are playing handbuff, it shouldn't be that hard to beat mill rogue, you just need to run chargers and surprise them with burst damage, not board presence. Mech handbuff paladin is extremely difficult to win as mill rogue for example because of all the magnetize burst damage
Ive tried some variants of it and dont find it that fun. Its GREAT when you mill a major Priest card or a win condition card from some other class. But mostly I found it rather boring. far too many games the milling wasnt working or I didnt draw right and couldnt do anything.
The version with NZoth at least has some minions to play other than Coldlight so that ones a little better.

I don't play it but it did get a really fun new card in that Pirate where you can discover a card for your opponent to mill! Bye bye win condition!
If you play an aggro deck you can just say thank you the whole game and win on turn 6
Imagine being so salty that you just have to make a post about it.
That is not true, they have so much sustain now with stealth for hero that they are able to bring it very close even with aggro decks.

Wow... use aggresive deck with lot of pressure! Buff paladin has literally 1 mana costs 6/6 but not enough for mill rogue.

Tickatus is good against mill rogue. Oh you burned some of my cards, I'll take 10 your cards now..
Oh you didn't kill the Tickatus, thanks Zola, much appreciated..
