Wall Lock homebrew back in K&C. Beat out a nasty Cube Lock for my final game. Love warlock but hated cube lock back then. Haven’t even bothered trying for legend since. Not worth the effort. Plus I’m a filthy casual.
Galakrond rogue was the first deck I got to legend with. Back before Galakrond was nerfed, that is.
I only started playing the year before and it took me a while before I amassed enough cards in a single class to craft a competitive deck, but that was the one. And it worked!
Sad to see Highlander rotating away, it's my favourite archetype, IMO it the only archetype that gave me the feeling that no matter what I encounter or mulligan, I can win with that.
While i didn't reach legend, i got to rank 2 (back then with the old ratings) with a homebrew assassin's blade rogue where you just buffed it, hit face an used saps and vanishes against opponent's board. It had pretty hard matchups against aggro, as it was a deck that need time to draw an assemble the assassin's blade, but it was fun
3 years ago with murloc paladin (standard) against all those Duskbreaker at rank 1 what a headache and last one was Turtle mage (standard) fun and interactive deck a couple of months ago
I made it to Legendary with Secret Mage for the first time last December.
Most recently I made Legendary this month with...Secret Mage...
