I really want to know, because it is such a fun and interactive deck, like it shouldn't have been nerfed in the first place since there was no good reason to nerf it right?

what deck or decks do you play? I had also problems with Raza Priests, but now after playing them for 3 seasons non stop i mostly win, since i know exactly what they do...ofc when they have a perfect draw you cant really win, but thats the case with many decks.
What are you talking about? Raza Priest has been the single best deck in wild for at least 3 expansions now. The whole meta revolves around Raza Priest and the decks that have a chance against it

Nerf raza to 1 mana and the game will be health again. Zero is a stupid cost to any mechanic in this game. Another card that need to see a nerf is Tour Guide too...a very strong staple in the game actually and a very good friend of an already problematic deck that is ODD pally.

Ok so if spawn wasn't in the game they could still otk you. When raza priest was dominant in standard there was no spawn, instead they used Velen to otk you and it worked really well so no, spawn is not the problem. The only problematic card in this otk (or 8-10 damage per turn) is raza because of the discounted hero power and no, I don't think it should be nerfed again. As someone said, wild is for broken, stupidly strong decks. And while some decks have huge powerful swing turns and mana cheating and other broken mechanics, the dominant archetype there is still brainless go face aggro which is no different from standard.
Then don't forget there are cards like Zola and Raise dead so even if you Rat the Spawn and kill it they can still get it back. Spawn is good for huge burst but that card definitely doesn't win games on its own. Without Raza and Shadowreaper Anduin that deck losses its main win condition.
In case of iceblock please call Highlander priest's best friend Zephrys the Great and see how they still otk you.
I played a lot of raza priest and never had problems with other reno decks except mirror when they draw polkelt and win (blizz pls remove polkelt, that card is just stupid) and maybe some aggro decks but only if they highroll like crazy and I draw poorly.
Wild doesnt are about turn 8 when u play the dk. Wild is about killing opponent by turn 1.5 . But out of curiosity, what decks do u play in wild?
See, yeah... it's not, though. There's lots of control decks in Wild. I agree with OP about Raza. There are so many weapons for Highlander decks, this just feel too powerful now. There are other cards that should be buffed or nerfed more than Raza. Yeah, yeah I know... I need to write it in the salt thread.

You, my friend, a mixing things, sn1p sn4p warlock was OP not because it cheated out zero mana mechs but because it could do his combo as early as turn 4, priest starts cheating out damage only after turn 8 and priests damage also is limited by number of cards in his hand, it’s massive but not unlimited, again compared to sn1plock you remind us of.
My point is zero mana is ok for the health of the game but only until it happens in the late game and there is no consistent way of drawing this combo, and that’s the reason lorekeeper Polkelt is OP in this deck no DK nor Raza, polkelt brings consistency to Raza priest that he was missing.

Just play secret mage, with or without reno, and farm all priests decks.
There was a good reason to nerf it; it was OP in standard at the time.
Then it rotated to wild, and Blizz lets people enjoy cards in their glory in Wild, because wild's power level is higher, so raza priest isn't OP there

Nerfs are done according to collected statistics, not personal frustrations.
According to HSReplay, the big priest is a bigger problem now than Raza priest.

Polkelt is the reason Reno Priest viable again. Without it the deck just pack of drawing
