Playing Wild for a while now because can't stand warrior in Standard anymore and playing vs a lot of decks I feel can win or lose any game.
Big priest, quest mage, mech hunter, odd rogue, etc...
But I can't win a single game vs odd paladin, the deck is insane in Wild, nothing works, other aggro decks don't is fast enough, controls don't clear the board soon or times enough and combo is dead before get turn 5.
I missing some critical cards I don't wan't to craft then I curious, what deck keep odd paladin in check? Why is not tier 0 and appears much more often than Big Priest for example?
I am sure that Even Shaman counters Odd Paladin thanks to Devolve, Maelstrom Portal and Jade Claws - they can deal easily even with Paladin's buffed board and develop their own.

True, Maelstrom and Devolve really is good vs odd paladin but looks like this deck disappears, played Wild the entire last month and don't remember play vs even shaman, not once.
Besides even Shaman, you could try murloc Shaman (which also runs devolve and portal), odd rogue, zoolock, dragon priest, token druid
Shaman I agree is the easy way to win but I not sure about the others, the great advantage of odd paladin is the deck don't have bad starting hand, is so much redundance and sinergy with hero power all the cards are insane in early game, the other decks can't easily remove the board for 2 manas like shaman is in trouble every time don't get the perfect starting hand.

Well, Im pretty sure you will see them after the introduction of Totemic Surge. Maybe Sandstorm Elemental will also make an appearence as a tech card.
On topic, in my experience any decent control deck can slay odd paladin as long as you know what to do, which are the key turns, etc. But as C_A_W said the same deck will most likely lose against big priest.
think Reno Warlock does pretty well, Token Druid as well, I think Odd Warrior feels pretty even, I play a lot of wild and those are the best counters that come to mind.
I agree though it is a pretty unfun deck to play with and against unless you put some goofy cards in there for fun/the lolz
I find it somewhat funny that you feel that way, since I personally think that Odd Paladin is generally one of the fairer decks in Wild. It's a shitty deck to see when I try out something new that I know can't keep up with it (RIP my Beast Druid), but with my better decks, I actually enjoy the matchup, since it feels relatively fair. Neither do I crush them, nor does it feel too depending on luck and draw, just an intense battle with an uncertain outcome.
As some already said, Even Shaman can stand up pretty well against it, though Maelstrom Portal usually has to counter a Muster for Battle to avoid a devastating Quartermaster. And you have to hope to get a Healing Totem rather early, since it is key to deny them their hero power advantage. Jade Druid (or any slower Druid with a control core) will also do just fine. It's usually a hard fight, but Swipe, Starfall, Spreading Plague, Hecklebot and all the Armor Druid has give you a good fighting chance. Odd Warrior and other Control Warrios have some good tools to deal with them too. Even Warlock can also generally beat them, but it can be a bit tricky thanks to Never Surrender!, which can screw up Defile.
When the deck was still in Standard and Level Up! still available to it, I had actually had a good record against it with Zoolock, because Despicable Dreadlord can really shut it down. And in Wild, Warlock can do so much more to beat board centric decks.
Odd Paladin is very strong still, but not as much of a shutdown deck as Big Priest or Quest Mage, in my opinion at least, and also not THAT popular on most ranks. The bigger issue really is, as someone has already mentioned, that control decks, or slower midrange decks, can't hope to get far in Wild because of Big Priest.
Odd paladins strength is it's consistentcy. But because of that it is EZ to counter, and to play around it. I have 60% win rate against it with pirate Warrior which is supposed to be a bad match up for me. I just know when to trade and when to go face. It's fundamentals. If you really hate losing to it most druid shaman and warrior decks shut it down. And cyclone mage is good against it. I honestly don't know how the deck is teir 1.
Even Shaman is 57% favored against Odd Pally according to VS latest Wild Data Reaper. It's good but it's not oppressive. Only say this to warn anyone ITT thinking about easy matchups against Odd Pallys. Save devolve+maelstrom until you really need it, don't waste a maelstrom on three 1/1s most of the time that's a 1-for-1 trade for the Pally
i hardly have troubles with Odd Pala when i'm playing Evenlock, between taunted giants, drakes and faceless shamblers, shadowflame plus the vulgar homunculus and the one copy of dreaded infernal i decided to run, it's almost impossible for them to get a board.
Odd paladin is not unbeatable. For example even shaman and even warlock can beat it pretty easily. But there is one issue, Big priest wrecks these decks so no one is playing them. Making odd paladin free to run.
Ive gone against it once so far this expac. Idk maybe your decks are too greedy. I won with quest priest (the heal quest) by just sticking minions and dealing more damage to him than him me, and he even played muster on 3 and quartermaster on 5. They nerfed the deck pretty hard with the removal of Level Up. I dont think it's too common anyway because it got mostly nothing from the past 2 expacs and the other BS broken decks like big priest and quest mage actually got a few new cards.
I'm a wild player but You know what? Big priest, odd paladin and mech hunter are cancer in wild. I mean i try to avoid them and play casual but voila! i still face them. Sad thing is that there is plenty of nice wild decks in my decklist like big recruit warrior, reno quest rogue etc like you don't see it everyday right? but i cant play them cuz of those decks, even in casual. I still wonder why blizz don't do sh*t about those decks, especially big priest. All i wanted to say is Blizzard make some love for wild for f*cks sake.

I play renolock or even any version of druid with swipe and spreading plague, wrecks odd palladin
I would want to but don't win that many times with odd paladin. And i've played a lot of paladin. Idk, maybe hearthstone is just luck after all.
I am power, incarnate!

Yeah, it's really strong, but far from unbeatable. Wild has a LOT of removals, control decks are able to handle the pressure.
Obey C'Thun, Praise The Darkness, Pet Hakkar, the Soulflayer, Love Yogg-Saron, Hope's End

Easy to counter, but decks that counter it are kinda bad for other match ups.
