I see fewer big priests with every rank I climb in Wild, they actually give me a good reason to play Wild, because the Wild I miss is between rank 10 and legend. Rank 10-20 is full of big priest and jade druid it's sickening.
Just play in the dumpster rank in wild, i have more fun playing there. You still will encounter the occasional big priest but if they are really bothering you just play exodia mage with a polymorph instead of a arcane artificer and you can beat them almost 100% of the time.
BP are easy to win, pirate rogues on the other hand.... dead on turn 4.
Pirate Rogue is actually easy to beat, Big Priest on the other hand.... win before turn 5 or lose inevitably.
In all honesty, Wild has some very strong Control Decks, all of which have more than a decent chance against the aggressive decks like Kingsbane, Odd Paladin, Murloc Shaman etc. But they all lose most if not all their matches against the single most popular archetype, which continues to be Big Priest.
Anyway, when I see a Priest in Wild, depending on the deck I play, I concede immediately, and move on. It might not even be Big Priest, but almost all of them are, and the few exceptions usually use some Resurrection stuff too. Even if I had a small chance to win, it's not worth it, especially not, when my opponent has to rope and emote like an idiot because he had the right card in his opening hand.
Same here... big priest, big priest, big priest... rank 5-3...
I’ve played wild every season, but since the archmage became available it is becoming really annoying and frustrating. I notice that I don’t like the wild format as much as I used to...
I dont know where you always find those big priest player, i almost never have to face them. But when i see barnes on turn 4, i concede and save my braincells.
While Big Priest is the most popular deck in the format, it's far from being the best - indeed, the most recent VS report suggests that the deck struggles to win as often as it loses at every skill level. Nine of the top ten decks in the report are aggro - their combined play-rate is more than triple that of Big Priest, with win-rates 5%-7% better. The truth of the matter seems to be that Odd Paladin gets far more free wins by hitting their magic button every turn than Big Priest has ever gotten by top-decking a turn four Barnes . . . it's relentless and guaranteed early-game value that snowballs far more consistently than anything Big Priest can hope to do.
Wild is still there just click on wild button and you can enjoy yourself more

I feel you, OP. The amount of wild games I've been playing recently has severely dropped. And those few games that I did play were all with nothing but decks that absolutely stomp big priest. I just can't stomach losing to those inbreds. It's honestly made me shy away from wild.
As op I love playing Wild and don't like Big Priest, but happily as per previous poster i'm not seeing any Big Priest beyond #5. I found Even Shaman is strong against it: Hex of the big stuff cheated out, devolve for cheap minions played, 4 mana 7/7 + windfury to kill 'em before they can do anything about it.
Doesn't work every time of course, but enough to get through them to the interesting stuff.

Nobody said it's the best deck, but the most popular, among the most annoying to play against and likely the one that shapes the meta the most. Yes, a large part of the current Wild Meta is "aggressive" - guess why. It's the playstyle that can consistently end games before the cheating starts. Which is certainly convenient, but sadly also necessary.
Jade Druid has a very decent chance against most of them. The main reason that deck isn't rated higher is because that one common matchup is an almost guaranteed loss. Odd Warrior would likely also have a good standing against aggressive decks, if people would play it. But Big Priest and Jade Druid are hopeless matches.
How would Control Priest or Mage do? I don't know. Maybe worse than I like to believe, because they would need a win condition that can keep up with stuff like Jade Druid or Cubelock, not to mention the OTK stuff. In other words, attrition can't be their plan A. But I am sure that Big Priest discourages anyone to even try.
By the way, "9 out of 10 are aggro" is just wrong. Even Shaman and Even Warlock are about as Midrange as you can get these days, while one is usually a bit faster, the other a bit slower. But neither of these decks is focusing on early game aggression and winning games quickly.
Also, while I would classify Odd Paladin as an aggressive deck, it can't beat Murloc Shaman by rushing it down. In that particular matchup, it plays more like an older Zoo Deck fighting for board control. Quartermaster is the only "explosive" card they still have, and it's not as scary as Everyfin is Awesome. And Aluneth Mage... well, call it nitpicking, but in my opinion it's more of a "face" or "burn" deck, that tries to outrun opponents, but can't even hope to defend the board if it wanted. Part of the reason why it blows against board-centric decks but can act as a control killer otherwise.
In other words, there are different types of aggressive decks that have different playstyles. Saying that most of Wild is "aggro" gives a wrong impression of how the games actually go, and what counter decks could succeed, if it wasn't for Big Priest that makes almost all of them pointless to even consider.

Pretty much that!
Or you can also play casual mode if the stars are not your main goal and just hit "Concede" if you encounter a Priest

In the double-digit ranks of Wild you see a wide variety of decks. Oh sure, every now and then you see broken decks, especially earlier in the month.
Priest is my favorite class but I just can't bring myself to play Big Priest. That said, I've seen players just quit on turn one or two when facing me. I wish I could yell out "I'm only playing Silence Priest!"

I mean I love the game I love wild have for years but the game has literally died for me. All I ever played was control and value decks but its just pointless now really depressing they will just make big priest better and better to the point a brand new player could beat someone who has played for years
I love playing this format have for years through the ups and downs but I just cant stomach playing any more due to big priest FeelsBadMan

Ye, big priest with 50% wr, really cancer, Odd pala and rogue that s most fun deck in wild, if they could be more consistant, poor wild.

I am pessimistic here.
If they see people migrating from Wild to Standard, it's all good for them.
If they see Wild population staying stable, it means it's ok as it is, from their point of view.
Either way, they do not care if the Wild meta contains toxic decks and becomes obnoxious itself.
And it's not just meme decks gone wrong, like Big Priest and Darkest Hour Warlock. It's also hyper-resilient Aggro.
They just check average winrates and as long as nothing reaches 60%, they call it a day...
yes big priest is boring/annoying to play against even if u win
but have u tried playing against even shaman??
Just got Rank 4 using a Sudderwock C'Thun shammy.. very very fun
