So, I just reached legend in Wild playing exclusively Even shaman, these 2 were my decks, with a couple of minor ajustments along the way. Final push facing more aggro:
Even Shaman is also my main Wild deck. Garrison Commander is an interesting choice, and actually makes quite some sense, when I think about it, considering how well it synergizes with the cards you mentioned.
I use Ancestral Knowledge and Earthen Might, usually just once each. I found the card draw quite helpful and while the overload can be a big slow-down, in some matches it's definitely worth to get some cards as fast as possible (like Devolve). I rarely get to use Earthen Might on an Elemental, but against faster decks, buffing a totem helped me a few times to gain and maintain board control.
However, I probably won't even reach rank 5 with Even Shaman this month. I am currently at Rank 6 with 2 stars and a win-streak, so technically, 2 wins and I'd have it, but I faced so many high-rolling Big Priests and Warlocks lately, it was a miserable experience even getting this far, and even though I still have a couple hours left, I just don't have it in me to go through hours of torture for that rotten golden Epic. I don't have the nerves to push too much.
I think I will give it a try a little later, and see where I end up after maybe 10 games.
Anyway, well done!
Edit: I managed to get to rank 4. There was a small bump in the road, but it didn't take me long to get to 5 and from there I won every game till 4 with 2 stars, where I just lost. Still some time, but I think I'm good for today. Just wanted to share this.
With all due respect, Slyde, but imho the second Thing from Below carried you in this game. I admire you, that you are experimenting in wild with different cards and trying to improve old archtypes; I'm definitely not trying to debate that GC is a weak inclusion, but just wanted to say that he wasn't the winning card in the shown game,
If you didn't draw the second TFB, the odd paladin would have cleared your GC and a Totem Golem and would have slowly fought for board control. It's kinda debatable if the opponent would have succeeded, since you drew Devolve a turn later, but the game wouldn't have ended that fast, if it weren't for that 6-drop.

Gratz for reaching Legend.
TFB is maybe the most important card for the deck, I will not argue against that, but the "carry" part was also how he continually made the taunt totem afterwards, screwing up his trades.
Btw, did anybody try Hench-Clan Hag in the same slot as GC?
I lost to a deck like that recently, it had Rain of Toads as well. I am not sure what was cut, though, but Garrison Commander was obviously not there...

Moost games played, up to rank 1:
After the nerf to Flametongue Totem, there have been many different takes on how to replace them. The direct replacements have usually been Golakka Crawler, a 2nd Dire Wolf Alpha, a 2nd Devolve or Bloodmage Thalnos. It is also possible or add another 6 (Fire Elemental) or 8-drop.
One card, which should be a very obvious candidate, has largely been ignored, though:
.
One can absolutely argue that the shell of even shaman is so strong that small changes do not matter, but have a look at the synergies:
-It has vanilla stats, which matters a lot for a midrange deck with stat-dumping as its main strength and win condition.
-Sea Giant, Thing from Below, and Draenei Totemcarver all have direct synergies with the extra heropower you get for only 1 mana!
-You are much more likely to get the totem you need, mostly Stoneclaw Totem, but Wrath of Air Totem can often be useful too.
Here is an example of how Garrison Commander can carry a game vs odd paladin at rank 1:

Expensive craft , defenetly strong for even decks
Congratulations!

Gratz for reaching Legend.
My tech slots are currently occupied with Ancestral Knowledge, Windfury and Hex.
I am not willing to drop Knowledge, as it saved my games so many times, but i am also scared to drop Hex at the moment...
Surely the snowballing power of Garrison Commander is there, i am just not sure what to remove for him.
As 2x it it sounds a bit of an overkill to me anyway.
Garisson is actually an interesting choice. I’ll give it a try and see how it performs
