I used to play a Jade/Burgle deck since last month, and despite it being not OP at all, it was really fun. With the new set I had great hopes in cards like Vendetta and Underbelly Fence, and they were indeed powerful since they were active since turn 1 if you had Lotus cards like Jade Spirit already in hand. Just for reference, this is the list I was running:
With the new cards the deck was pretty good, almost to the point of being a Tier 2/3 even..
But overnight, Blizzard went for a stealth nerf, and now Lotus cards no longer activates cards like Spectral Cutlass, Vendetta, Underbelly Fence or Tess.. which destroyed a perfectly fair deck. Good job Blizzards, and thanks for caring about a Wild Underdog deck instead of caring about OP Big Priest which now refill the whole board with a Diamon Spellstone + Vargoth combo. That's fair and needs no nerf at all indeed.
Sorry for the bitter words, but I see no reason to axe a fair deck with a subtle stealth nerf like this.. probably it was becuase of Arena, but still how many were the chances to get an unfair deck with the arena draft just because of this? Jade cards in arena are pretty weak anyway..
I'm definitely displeased by this, it kills the joy of a nice interaction which was no bug at all, since it worked like this since forever..

My Wild Cutlass Thief, a rogue deck focused on Spectral Cutlass. Just reached #176 Legend with a 62% win rate from rank 5.
Aahha I knew it as against me pal! :D Yeah, jokes aside, of course I'm bitter about my pet deck, but really I can't tell the reason to release such a stealth nerf there was no real call for. I could have understood it as a broad change if it was release together with the new set, like a new approach to multiclass cards considering the new rogue cards like Vendetta and Underbelly; but this sounds like a quick and dirty change made to fix an oversight.. but was it really necessary?

From a mechanics standpoint it makes no sense why tri class cards would proc Underbelly etc, since putting them in as neutral defeats the whole purpose of the "from another class" mechanic...seems like an overdue change.

If you thought you knew what you think I know, then you'd know I knew you knew I know.
It was a bug that they didn't fix for a long time because it only affected a niche deck in Wild and Blizzard doesn't care much about Wild, now it is basically game breaking in Arena. It's good that fixed it.
If you want to play Thief Rogue in Wild then play actual thief cards like Blink Fox and Pick Pocket.
What the hell... The Lotus Agents giving my cutlass an extra charge interaction was one of my favourite, why the actual hell would they even touch that. There are so many unfair interactions in HS, Big Priest is built on absolutely idiotic interactions and tehy decide this one is grievous enough to nerf. Absolute morons.
It took me some time to realize that you guys are talking about a nerf which was not announced, the whole time I asked myself "Stealth Nerf? Stealth Mechanic got nerfd? Whut?" lmao. But I agree with the nerf.

If I recall correctly, the Jade Lotus tri-class cards did not count as from another class when they first came out. This was obvious enough because Lotus Agents were a natural fit in the early burgle decks. As a result I was surprised when one day they counted as non-rogue class cards, which was never announced by the devs.
So I would argue the bug was actually that they were ever counted as non-rogue cards in the first place, but it was not until Vendetta and Underbelly Fence that is was important to fix it.
what?!? Common, I just recently crafted aya with the dust from HOF to improve the cuttlas/jade rogue I was working on and now they just nerfed that deck that it isn't even common -.-. I was really expecting to get some great games with that deck after the hype for the new expansion had faded, but that sadly will not be the case.
Hmm, that's sad news to hear, but it's understandable that they fixed it since tri-class cards are within "Neutral" category even though the logic says otherwise. However, I want to know one thing: If Lotus Agents discovers himself, then I play him, will he grant me an extra swing just like before? Or, does it matter if he gives me extra swing when I choose from left (Druid) and right (Shaman) but not middle (Rogue)? Can someone confirm this for me while I will test this out by playing some matches?

Truth be told; it's a conspiracy against you alone. The stealth nerf had stealth release notes released with it that told us so.
The first turns in arena are about stats. Rogues could coin an active Underbelly Fence on T1 and basically win.
The MSG multi-class cards were not meant to activate these effects.

Glad that they fixed the bug (since it was really broken in Arena); annoyed that they didn't see fit to announce the fix at all.
I'd argue that we should be getting a dust refund on all Tri-Class cards because of this, but that ship sailed with Lynessa Sunsorrow... and Tess Greymane... and Shudderwock... and Mekgineer Thermaplugg... and Jungle Giants... and probably several more cards that I'm forgetting.
You can find me here! Good luck everyone!

They reverted the change to Tess.
They did. They also didn't offer a dust refund when they first made the change. Those two things can both be true.
