However I don't believe big priest has enough early game/combo possibilities after rotation to actually keep a strong winrate. Especially the 4 mana resurrect and 6 mana summon 5/5 will be such a big loss. Just try to play a game without them ;-) this is ofc talking about standard
Yet, this topic is about Wild, and you comment regarding Standard, and rotation? Geez, discuss in Standard if you care about rotation because Wild doesn't care about it.
Relax, there is no tag and I can't see the forum breadcrumbs from mobile...
Anyway in wild he might be, I don't play big priest there, reno priest is what I play and I actually added him in that deck as well.)

Ah, sorry if I offended you. I just thought that you are Standard player which cares speaking about rotation only. My apologies.
I just got destroyed by some sort of never ending shuffle rogue featuring Archmage. Using academic espionage, pick pocket, spectral cutlass, augmented eleek and of course Tess made a special appearance. My apologies if everyone already knows about this deck but I have not played vs very many decks that have had Archmage in it so far. So yes I think this card will be broken just because of its versatility. Every class will be able to find some way to abuse it, in one way or another.
I've made some of those three turn kill mage decks and honesty if you were playing quest mage you would have won with the normal two turn kill anyway. The extra 3rd turn in these other decks merely allows you to kill your opponent in a different bigger combo. It doesn't change the fact that they would be dead in a world without Vargoth anyway.
In Big Priest it just requires you to transform it asap, and classes that couldn't transform minions generally lose against Big Priest anyway as well.
Vargoth is basically a win more card in many match-ups.
I was playing dragon Warrior and I thought I was in complete control, with full health and around 50 armor. First spellstone and he refill his board. I managed to clear vargoth, velen and malygos, leaving only 2 radiant elemental. Turn after second spellstone, velen vargoth and malygos again, followed by 2 mind blast (20 + 20), holy smithe (14) and at the end of the turn other 20 to my face thanks to mind blast. I remain alive but next turn I can't clear his board. Wow.
So yes, vargoth is broken, resurrection is broken and priest (long time ago my favorite class) must die.

Vargoth is terrible in Big Priest. On his own, he's not a threat, he is a miss on Barnes and only good with Spellstone, if the enemy can't clear it. However in most cases upgraded Spellstone without copy wins games if the enemy can't clear it.
If anything I would be concerned, it's Catrina Muerte, but she's also terrible against aggro.
Considering how RNG dependant is Ress Priest in the first turns (if you don't cheat out a big minion you've to wait untill the late game), Archmage Vargoth is just another chance to pull out you tools and he can give you the chance for some very snowbally plays. I'll consider him almost on the same level as Barnes itself. It empowers and already horrible deck like Ress Priest, making it even more polarizing and unfun both to play and to play against.
I know that Team 5 doesn't care much for Wild but I find anyway a terribad design choice to go on with printing ress tools, forcing Priest into a such awfull playstayle. They've been able to make me hate the Class I've mained since the Beta.
Mostly for priest, but primarily for any list that does not run a hard stop like Devolve, Hex, Potion of Madness (into something that will kill him) or Polymorph.
The other lists that might use him he is one and done if he dies so it's harder to do insane combos.
Just curious. I played some games against me with this new guy and surfed on the forums. So far, I found crazy interactions that might crack the Wild format:
Mage: Three Turn Kill shenanigans by abusing Time Warp
Priest: Big Priest can cast Resurrect spells twice
Shaman: Dane has found Eveyfin Spellstone Shaman that boosts your board like crazy
Druid: Double Recruit ability thanks to Oaken Summons
Maybe other classes have crazy shenanigans with Vargoth, but this is all I can think of. I can't say that I hate this card, but with these combinations, Vargoth goes beyond broken. Maybe his effect should have been "at the start of your turn", rather than "at the end of your turn". What do you think?
Why would you ever use it in a Time Warp OTK deck. Just use the regular Exodia combo, it does the same thing. I personally believe refined big priest deck don't want to res a 2/6 body when they could be ressing ragnaros and Obsidian Statues. The Oaken Summons synergy is strong but Druid is so absurdly weak atm it doesn't even matter in wild. The Murloc combo is pretty crazy but it's more win more then anything. The extra +2/+2 buff isn't going to help you win the game. The Hunter deathrattle synergy is nice however how reliably you'll have those cards in hand and the overall strength of Deathrattle Hunter in wild as a whole (Not that strong). The card is strong but it's not absurd and I think you'll see it see less play in a few weeks.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but mostly I saw him on Big Priest, and a little from other classes. Problem is, as most of people stated, it's not 2/6 that is resurrected. Rather, when you play a Spellstone that resurrects Vargoth, he will cast the Spellstone again that results up to 6 minions resurrected in a single turn. If you tell me I will see him less played, it's a lie.

I'm not dead yet!
Very powerful? Yes
Broken? Not exactly.

With Diamond Spellstone, Shadow Essence, Resurrect, Eternal Servitude, and Mass Resurrection.

For what profit is it to a man, if he gains the world and loses his own soul?

Yes.
