I miss golden heroes just for Shaman, Rogue and Mage, and since all of these are not top tiers in Standard at the moment (apart odd Rogue, but it's not top notch either), I'll mainly switch to Wild.
Usually I would like control decks, but since both golden heroes and legend require a lot of game, I'll probably stay on the aggro archetypes, such as these:
- Even Shaman, which is a classic deck I was going to play, but the Flametongue loss (going to a mana cost of 3) is pretty big..
- Odd Rogue, which is very strong; the cold blood loss, even if bad, shouldn't be terrible. However I'm playing Kingsbane Pirate too, and it seems stronger than expected, especially if decks like Even Shaman lower in numbers
- Tempo/Secret Mage is decent, but I'm also tinkering with an elemental midrange list which isn't incredible but still packs a resonable punch
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
My Wild Cutlass Thief, a rogue deck focused on Spectral Cutlass. Just reached #176 Legend with a 62% win rate from rank 5.
As I really enjoyed the last month I will most likely go for wild legend again this month (depending if standard becomes interesting again^after the nerfs).
For the climb I will rotate Mecha'Thun Warlock, MillZoth Rogue, Odd Warrior, RenoLock and Reno Priest most likely. Maybe testing some other things because the nerfs will also slow down the damage potentials of Even Shaman and aggressive Rogues what I am really looking forward to :-)
I've got a few different decks I wanna push with, since I've finally gotten the cards to make them:
Murloc OTK Paladin (which got me to Rank 5 in a couple of hours yesterday) Odd Paladin (maybe Even as well) Secret Odd Mage Evenlock Cubelock (with and without Mecha'thun) Odd Rogue (depending on how bad the nerf is) Mecha'thun Druid Even Shaman
It's a shame that Hunters are getting nerfed, because that was the next gold for me on the Golden Hero list, but I might have to go for Shaman instead now.
I've played 100 games I've played between Rank 5 and Legend so far with this Odd Patches Paladin deck, and I've only met 4 Jade Druids, 2 of which beat me, so it seems like it might at least be worth a try.
I am in the same boat. Extreamly hard up and down. You can easily calculate what it means if you hold 53-55% winrate depending on the matchup luck. Without winstreaks it gets hazardous ... And you fight the same decks most of the time. Like 80% T1 and T2 netdecks piloted correctely. I don´t say perfect but good enough to beat you regulary. I win a lot due to opponets not knowing what comes ...
Thanks to the bad cold I caught I was able to reach big boy ranks for the first time :-)
I was playing 2/5 Mill'Zoth Rogue, 1/5 Mecha'Thun Warlock, 1/5 RenoLock, and 1/5 Odd Warrior in legend and to climb I had most success with Mecha'Thun (I was rotating the decks after a loss). Must admit that my MillZoth mostly shines in legend because the number of Even Shamans, Mech Hunters and Aggro Mages is quite a bit lower.
I have just reached legend for the first time with a kingsbane rogue deck. I'm so happy, it was so hard i tried a lot of decks but failed at rank 2 everytime. Then today i did a win streak from rank 2 to legend. So satisfying. Met only big priests and warlock with my kingsbane rogue, it was a big feast haha
Hey friends! I've been climbing with my own Anyfin build that features Shirvallah. It's a solid deck, with a great winrate against Cubelock and most other control decks. So far I've hit Rank 6, and dropped a bit to 7. The problem, obviously, is aggro. Mainly Paladins, since that's what life is now. I'm not asking for help with the deck, my real question is, what do you do when you're grinding and you hit a bunch of bad matchups in a row, and lose them all? I feel like every time I swap my deck in that scenario, I find myself in a great matchup for the original deck. Advice?

I'll wait 'till the nerfs come. I will ladder with Steal Priest again (meme version ofc).

Its amazing, I'm able to play my Reno Priest again and sitting on rank 5 atm. Hope everything stay this way.
might jade druid work?
Rejoice, for even in death, you have become children of Thanos.

I will am actually going to try with a mill druid but don´t know if i can stand the grind :-). I did go from 20 to 5 till now taking a short breath.
I struggle with kingsbane pirate and mechhunter most but i am weak to aggro so it's ok ..
I just hit Legend with my aforementioned Odd Patches Paladin deck. It wasn't easy, and it took almost 400 games to get there, but it finally happened.
Best of luck to anyone out there who is still on their way up there - may the RNG be in you favor!

Holy shit, 400 games?! That's some serious dedication there.

Stats from before and within legend enclosed.
Hit legend with Cubelock - pretty strong in this meta.

Made it with even shaman! Yeey!
I mostly used this deck:
But for the last push, I used this, as it turns out Ragnaros the Firelord is pretty bad vs odd paladin...
Beware of Garrison Commander folks! The synergies are both strong and obvious!
