Hello. I've used the search feature, but the threads I've found haven't been helpful because they're bit dated. A bit about my history: I've been playing on-and-off for a few years and I've been having a lot of fun! I haven't played on a serious level or memorized the meta, but I'm working on it. I've only managed to get to Rank 14. I don't know why I'm not getting higher than that. I like to play Wild because I find it less formulaic. I like that there's a lot of deck diversity. I like to play rogue, mage, priest (just like in WoW arena!). I found Hearthpwn a few months ago, but I've only lurked until now.
Can anyone direct me to a stellar player on twitch or something? Someone who plays Kingsbane Mill? According to Innkeeper, I've collected 72% of the cards in Hearthstone, so I hope I'll have the cards to manage most recommendations.
My current strategy is get at least a Cavern Shinyfinder, Leeching Poison, Coldlight Oracle in the mulligan, especially if Kingsbane doesn't make an appearance. I usually Shadowstep CO. I use Gang Up on either Captain Greenskin or Lab Recruiter. The exception to this is using it on CO if I am playing an aggro deck, as it doesn't allow for ramp-up time; so I will use GU on CO. I like to keep any weapon buffs until I've played Valeera the Hollow, and I prefer to play Beneath the Grounds with Valeera as well. Kingsbane is still passively buffed by Goblin Auto-Barber and Southsea Squidface. The exception to this is LP. If my opponent is an aggro deck, I will drop a Deadly Poison or two to use Blade Flurry if I need to clear the board of pirates or shaman minions. I like to use Vanish + Preparation with a CO or two on my side, and I like to use it when my opponent has 8+ cards in their hand. So, uh...I guess this whole paragraph kind of proves that I don't really know what I'm doing, because I lack focus? I don't know...
With my current lack of skills (haha), I have no problem defeating OTK/big priests, other rogues, taunt warriors, mech hunters. I have zero luck with the weird Brann + Aviana + Kun + Medivh druid deck. Elemental mages shut me down once they drop Jaina in turn 9. The waves of water elementals keep me from doing much, so I like to keep my Doomerang cards for them. The other deck that I can't manage to kill is Shudderwock shaman if I don't mill the cards.
Okay, I've ranted on for a bit. My BattleTag is under my username if you'd like to add me and watch me struggle. Haha...thanks for your time, Hearthpwn!
I was just going to suggest control. But the thing with Kingsbane rogue is it just depends on what pocket of the meta you're in. If you're seeing a lot of control decks or slower stuff then you should be fine even if you don't play optimally. If you're queueing into a lot of even shaman or odd paladin then you're going to lose nearly every game no matter how good you are. So I'd think of Kingsbane more as a counter queue deck rather than a go-to deck for laddering.
You have too many minions. The thing with Kingsbane decks is you need to get your key cards asap (Cavern Shinyfinder or Kingsbane) or the deck just won't function properly. You want to get either Cavern Shinyfinder or a way to draw into Cavern Shinyfinder when you combo out Elven Minstrel. You only want weapon buffs in your hand when Kingsbane is already in your hand. I would cut Captain Greenskin and Southsea Squidface from your list because they are just too slow for Wild. Replace with cards that help you deal with aggro or cheap cards that help you combo out Elven Minstrel. Speaking of Elven Minstrel, you need a 2nd copy just to help with consistency.
Your game plan is 1) get Kingsbane 2) Buff it 3) Leeching Poison it. Anything else that doesn't help this game plan or help you survive to the late game should be cut.
I played Kingsbane Rogue to Wild legend a few seasons ago. Here's my list.
You can go infinite with it by having Valeera out, playing Coldlight Oracle, Lab Recruiter then using a shadow copy of Lab Recruiter to target the one you just played. You only need 1 copy of Lab Recruiter in your deck because it doesn't really help your game plan until you are ready to go infinite. Replace your 2nd copy of Lab Recruiter with a 2nd copy of Leeching Poison. You need to get it consistently in every match.
Thank you for all the advice guys! I went a bit further up the ladder, but I'm still having issues with even shaman/odd paladin etc. I'll keep watching videos. Thanks again!
take out those beaneath the grounds etc. vs aggro copy ur doomsayer or deathlord or sludge belcher if u have them in ur deck and if u face even shaman and odd pally a lot. if not facing this aggro decks that much then dont include this cards cause even teched against them u will still lose most of the time.
ive played odd pally vs a friends with a kingsabane deck teched against aggro and running this combos didnt get him the win in 10 matches so beware of that

Anywho, this is my current deck:

Bad players whine.
Good players adapt.
