We all know Ben Brode had left before the Boomsday project was released, however since the design team works a year in advance did Ben Brode create the Juicy Psychmelon card to be a slow ticking time bomb which would eventually kill the game and pave the way for his new game studio Second Dinner or Artifact to take it's place?
Did Hamilton Chu stay at Blizzard after the initial exodus to ensure Brode's master plan would not be tampered with and to seal the deal in selling the Juicy Psychmelon card to stock holders as a great way to push more pre-orders before the release of the Boomsday set?
It's clear Blizzard can't nerf the card because of its epic rarity which would cause too much of a loss in profits for Blizzard and its share holders from all the dust refunds. There are no cards in the basic set in which they can change which would have any real impact on the druid class while simultaneously avoiding giving any dust refunds back to players.
Is Ben Brode actually a mad genius who has been working on creating a "Boomsday project" all along in retaliation for Blizzard selling the game his small team created to Activision?
No. Team 5 just takes a ridiculous amount of time to realize they've made a mistake, especially when it comes to Wild mode.
I suggest you stop jumping to the conclusion that when something "bad" happens, there must be some dark scheme for world domination we don't know about. It's likely to become an extremely unhealthy habit, as shown by some people.
Second has 6 letters, as does Dinner, so Second Dinner = 6 x 6 = 36.
Psychmeleon has 9 letters, and it draws 4 cards. And guess what? 9 x 4 = 36.
Second Dinner has Dinner as its second word, and you eat food at dinner.
Juicy Psychmelon, if you read it real closely, has the word "melon" in it, which is a type of food!
The words in "Boomsday = Bankrupt Blizzard" all start with B's, and each of those words have 8 letters in them.
The words in "Ben Brode" all start with B's, and together those words have 8 letters in total.
Coincidence? I think not!
But since I didn't see a /s, I feel I should say that Ben Brode wasn't a part of the card design process, plus it's not like each designer just randomly publishes a couple of cards: they would all be reviewed by the whole team.
Today in my free brawl pack I got Barongeddon, then I had a cup of fresh green tea. As a result of that, I think Priest is OP because my keyboard is not a mechanical one. I hope Blizzard will address this issue.
It was created to try and quasi-nerf UI through redundancy. There is is surprising amount of pride invovled from the hearthstone design team, they want to atleast to be able to claim deck variety and as few nerfs as possible. This is why they won't just nerf a card like UI - problem is they can't even get this right as psychmelon sees zero standard play and has turned wild into a combo-druid cesspit.
Its no inside job, it's just incompetence and a refusal to accept the shame of creating UI in first place.
My theory is that someone in Team 5 (*cough* Donais *cough) has a personal preference for the Druid class. The person has been pushing through obviously OP cards in every set (*cough* Jade Idol *cough* Ultimate Infestation*).
I would love to hear about more evidence to support this theory.
I think it's just a bad desinged card, probably blizzard did not think about the implications of this in wild, or a least thought that being really broken options in wild could not have a slot in the decks, but, at the end of the day, is just another absurd card, if this card doesn't see a nerf i will be really surprised
They just don't give a shit about Wild. If they did, there would be more exposure for the format and it would actually be an enjoyable experience. This fact will actually hurt them in the long run since most cards are Wild exclusive. The format is garbage. This card doesn't really matter to them.

if they didn't care about wild, patches an raza would rotated without changes, and Dread Steed + Naga Sea Witch would not got ganged either. I'm sure this card will see a nerf even don0t being played in any standar deck just because of wild mode
I'm willing to accept mistakes with card design, particularly in Wild. The number of cards is huge and keeping everything balanced, when a new set is released, is incredibly difficult.
What I find hard to accept is how resistant Blizzard is to address obvious balance problems when they are identified. They have to be one of the least agile balance teams in the field. Considering the vast resources Blizzard has, and the cost of the game, it is as disappointing as it is bizarre.
Personally, I'm pretty much done with Hearthstone. It's not just the balance issues; it's the obvious money grabs (like the HGG cheering scam), the lack of basic features (what happened to tournament mode?), and totally ignoring community sentiment.
Again, if it was a cheap game, these things might be acceptable, but it is priced as a premium product, so judge it by those standards.

It would be acceptable if a new card enables a completely new or unseen combination. But Juicy Psychmelon implications in WIld were so obvious that it is unacceptable. Everyone in this forum saw it coming before the expansion release and Blizzard did not.
TBO Juicy Psychmelon is an extremely strong card. But after playing through Rank 13 to Rank 2 in Wild Mode I have to say that it did not break Wild in ANY way. I can count the Druids playing Juicy Psychmelon on one Hand.
Maybe it will be a bigger deal in the Future, but I can't imagine anything better than drawing your full Combo with that card. Because if you just want to draw your threats Ultimate Infestation still will be the card to go.

Probably no, just a terrible designed card will take ages to be fixed if that happen.
I will wait until the next rotation, if this BS don't be nerfed I will dust my entire Wild collection and only play Standard.
An extra pinch of free dust has no discernible impact on Blizzard's profits. Stop spreading this silly concept.

So much people paid by Blizz to criticize OP, but none has a valid argumeny. I guess my comment will be deleted as well?
