Sorry to say that, but this deck is a lot more resistent against hand disruption than Togwaggle. by no means it „suffers as bad against dirty rat“.
My deck version has over 1200 games on hsreplay now and won ~60% against other druids (mainly Togwaggle) and ~70% against warlock (mainly control). It‘s simply better.
Thats why good players are using Brann+Dirty Rat after Psychmelon xD But I agree taht this deck has a lot of minions that can be pulled and not hurt the combo that much.
After trying out the deck I can say these statements that I've made: 1, Highroll of the deck is way bigger and obnoxious compared to Naga decks, Barnes decks or Big Rogue. Combo can be done on turn 3 which is really broken. Combo effect of the deck is basically huge board of fat minions and over 14 face damage if you couldn't find Brann(Basically Freeze Mage and Giant decks like effect). 2. Every matchup is winnable. Even the ones that have Armor or Reno decks with hand and deck disruptions. Dirty Rat doesn't wins the game for him due to other minions anf bounce effects and Armor have to be higher than 40 becaused you can manage to play 4 doubled Battlecries of Star Aligners. 3. Some opponents were simply conceding as soon as they saw JuicyPsychmelon played. 4. The only fast deck that can have chance against it is Even Shaman due to his big fat minions. And even then it was 60/40 in my favour. Odd decks and Zoo decks couldn.t beat me and Aluneth Mage is good to as long as you play yout non combo pieces into secrets.
So overall I'd consdier this deck to be 1 Tier. Maybe even close to S Tier since it is doing more powerfull stuff earlier than any other deck in game or in history of this game.
Yeap this is the main reason I stopped playing Druid even though I've been playing the combo variant since Gadgetzan.
I find it horrible just how incredibly linear the play style has become for a combo deck that required a decent amount of skill to pilot before.

Yeah, you both have a point here. I even wrote in my guide i consider this deck to be problematic for wild meta. I hope we‘ll see some nerfs soon but cant deny that i like this deck a lot and enjoy it until then.
That said: what do you think would be a decent nerf without killing the archtype?
And... i guess: Sorry @ OP for not taking you serious at first :)
Decent nerf? Either nerfing some of the stall cards that Druid have now. Or nerfing Juicy Psychmelon to Draw 7,8,9 mana cards (so not minions only). It is still going to be 4 mana and draw 3 cards which is still good but not incredibly broken.
Well the easiest way to nerf it would be making Star Aligner a 6 Mana 6/6 That deals 6 Damage with given conditions, that would kill Star Aligner Druid but keep the other Aviana/Kun decks viable.
Star Aligner is a meme card though and its not its fault that is oppresive in one combo deck.Nerfing it to the conditions that you've mentioned would mean, that it will be even harder to pull off.
I never said it s bad or anything, but you can win against control and aggro pretty often with togwaggle while a deck with that much combo pieces seem to struggle against aggressive decks such as Odd Rogue/Paladin and Zoolock. But i've not tested it so far.
Well, in the moment i post this Togwaggle has ~54% winrate (going down) and Star Aligner has 67% winrate (going up again) on hsreplay. This is exactly because poeple start to tech against combo decks which breaks Togwaggle immediately, while Star Aligner can deal with it i guess.
And: You only need exactly four combo-pieces to win instantly against those fast decks which you draw reliably with Juciy Psychmelon. It's simply even more consitent than Togwaggle which nobody seemed to believe in the first place.
After waiting a few days the winrates are very similar. Togwaggle with around 62% and Star Alligner with 63,5% are both ridiculous strong.
I'd say it has to do a lot with your meta which deck is better. I faced a lot of face mages and even shamans and stats say i am a lot better playing togwaggle against these. On the other hand i struggled sometimes against odd rogue, so i should better switch to the star alligner built. Same goes for odd paladin, which i would've not believed until i saw the stats. But thats a learning process.
That said: Jade Druid even has a higher winrate than both decks with around ~64,5%

So i guess it's just the core of druid that's overpowered and not specific combos. ^^
Druid core is not that owerpowered. It is extremely strong but not broken yet. And all Druid winconditions can be reliably countered by tech cards. All except Star Aligner deck which can either bounce back pulled card if the card is not removed, or you Dirty Rat/Mill/pull from the deck non-combo piece like Witchwood Piper. Thats why the deck is unfair and strong. Other things like combo on turn 3 and Druid core package are also the case, but the fact that Tech card is not working reliably is thestrongest case. Also because of Juicy Psychmelon which is basically Sprint for 4 mana. The card is so good in Wild that some decks are not running UI anymore. Just let that sink in.
This deck is very good vs. control decks without any techs against OTK decks, but sucks vs. any kind of aggro or token decks, especially when you don't draw plague or enough armor gainer. Just played against a Warlock on Rank 12 who transformed my Brann into a random demon and the game before the token druid finished me off turn 5. I guess you got extremely lucky with your hands/opponents and the fact it worked until rank 14 doesn't mean anything. Don't get me wrong, this deck can be really strong, but on EU starting rank 12 the players are mostly either playing aggro or have an answer against OTK decks, which makes using this deck at this rank kinda meh.
Hey I wanted to use star aligner with rogue what do you think? My first post btw was about to see if there was otk Missile Launcher deck creator, so I came here.
i have been having a hard time with the deck, i went 0-4 my first 4 games, and then after about 20-30 more games i was like 52% wr. i have the entire deck except floop, but i replaced him with piper and have never missed lethal because of it. i think about half my loses are vs even shaman. anyone know how to beat them?

Wild players lul this is broken it’s in wild lol .
As David Letterman famously said of Bill Clinton's zipper - Seems like it's working just fine to me!
Free to try and find a game, dealing cards for sorrow, cards for pain.
Star Aligner isn't broken, the things that set Star Aligner up like Juicy Psychmelon, Avianna, Kun, etc. are
Star Alligner is actually WAY faster than any combo druid. Also Juicy Psychmelon and Brann / Witchwood Piper in mulligan is pretty much instant win.
Broken as fuck indeed.

The whole 20 staling cards in every combo set is kinda powerfull, and Juicy Psychmelon just made it as an overkill.

Aviana should simply cost 10 mana, so that you need Emperor Thaurissan, Floop or innervate to pull off otk-combos.
Not really broken. Probaly worse then togwaggle or malygos.
Stats are saying something else though. Most games recorded and one of the highest winrates
Nope. In this article it is explained why currently Aviana and Kun are not problematic

Always expect the unexpectable!
The problems with druid don't come from the finisher. I still think Spreading Plague is the worst offender in any of these druid combo decks.
So I've been away for a couple of weeks, came back and the first game I played was against this deck.
Druid pulled off the combo while I was at 7 mana (2 of which was granted by his Biology Project) and I believe he had 17 cards still in his deck.
Perhaps the stars aligned (heh) and he drew cards in literally the most perfect curve sequence conceivable, but that is pretty ridiculous regardless.
And yet next expansion, and the one after that, Druid will receive more ramp and more card draw.

Ok wow, EU is full of aggro atm, gonna give this deck further tries at another point in time. :p
