I know wild is a place full of crazy combos and op cards, so I wanna open a thread to talk about how to fight back against some of them.
Let’s start with my (I’m probably not alone here) biggest nightmare on wild right now, big priest, I just do not find a good way to play against this deck. I know you cannot win against all decks, but I really wanna find the counter for it since I’m facing it a lot.
Sap and vanish and face. Then they have to play their minions which comes very late. Tinkmaster overspark will also dilute their resurrects. That shouls give you enough time to smorc them down.
There's many things you can do, but sad to say, a Big Priest playing Barnes on Turn 4 is their best start and hard to take back tempo.
1) You fill your opponent's graveyard with junk minions to lower the chances of their Resurrect pulling a decent minion. (Cornered Sentry, Leeroy Jenkins, Transform effects, etc)
2) Have your opponent's good minions die on your side of the field. More easily done in Priest with Potion of Madness, Shadow Madness, Mind Control, Cabal Shadow Priest, etc.
3) Don't let your opponent's good minions die at all. Sap is great early on, and so is Vanish. The problem being that it's hard to counter a Turn 4 Barnes, when Vanish is Turn 6.
Speaking in generalities, the only solution for that is a board clear. For the deck you were playing, Vanish would be where it's at. Single target removal, or even janky cards like Betrayal would be straight up too slow to deal with that. You'll be dead, or too close to it to win, if you have anything less than a full clear.

Rumbling around Gurubashi Arena. Shirvallah is the best loa. Go Tigers!
Shaman hast great ways to counter it with Hex and Devolve. It is often even ok to play devolve on just one minion. But when you can Hex the thing that comes out of Barnes or that 5/5 copy (I forgot the name of that spell) it really messes up their resurrects. At least the random ones without discover. So Even Shaman does quit well against Big Priest.

VS says Big Priest is actually favored 58% against Even Shaman. Yes, Hex can mess them up, but the Priest class still has a plethora of AoE to deal with Even Shaman's board states.

Kingsbane Rogue is by far the best deck against Big Priest. Vicious Syndicate has it 84% in favor of Rogue.
