So today I've decided that I will go on a "budget experience". I theorized a couple of on paper semi-viable, fun and budget looking decks with only rare and common cards. It actually started off with mainly basic cards, but I scrapped that idea as I'm currently rank 4 and basic cards definitely don't seem strong enough in those parts. You can prove me wrong if you've got some data on that!
Anyway, after playing for a couple of hours casually sipping my Maté to keep my brain flowing I came to a conclusion... I failed, miserably. Hearthstone, the game I started playing pretty much completely free to play during GvG, is not a place for budget decks. WILD ESPECIALLY.
It's crazy how unsuccessful I was with most of my favourite, back in the day, budget decks. I mean a budget deck was the starting point for a lot of players to build up upon. For me it was Hunter, my favourite class, you can hate me for it. I feel like I'm going on about nonsense now.
Yes, there are decks that can be built on a budget. But I was trying to build something at least half unique that wasn't the stereotypical netdeck that everyone already built.
The closest I came to being kinda unique was Mech Hunter. And the deck actually worked flawlessly after upgrading it to more of a semi-budget deck.
The simple question after all this ranting and babbling about nonsense is: Has anyone had any sort of success with budget decks in Wild? My experience might be a bit obscure cause of my high rank, but I don't think it's that different at the lower ranks.

You can craft the cards now. So I’m not sure what you mean by that as crafting a couple of commons and rares is not that hard. Standard of course is easier to pick up, but Wild is just not as accessible as it used to be.

Why do you need budge decks in wild when you can dedicate crafting to just a couple of solid decks you have fun with?
So many people talk about wild and look for 3, 4, 5 of the most expensive control and combo decks and state that the format is punishingly expensive. Well, sure if you look for handfuls of expensive decks then of course you'll feel that way starting out, when you forget about chasing the carrot on a tier stick that is standard and dedicate your dust to a couple of decks in wild it makes it much easier to find a flotation device, so to speak, to gain footing in the mode.
Spell Hunter, Spiteful/Dragon/Inner Fire Priest, Spiteful Druid, Kingsbane Rogue, Whispering Woods Token Druid, Hadronnox Druid, Quest Mage, Tempo Rogue, Quest Warrior and probably many other decks have comparatively few mandatory legendaries for their respective strats.
I wouldn't be looking at any Aviana combo deck, control lock, or Quest Priest to judge whether you can make cheaper decks work in wild.
Greetings Y'all Hearthplebs!

Without meaning to be curt, I can't reconcile the idea of New Player experience with your deck or its ideas. You've got cards in here from: -
Both of these would need more investment than a new / F2P player surely?
Golden Hero Collections thus far; -
Europe: Druid, Hunter, Paladin, Mage, Priest, Rogue, Shaman, Warlock, Warrior (9/9)
Americas: Druid, Mage, Paladin Shaman (4/9)
Everywhere else: Workin on it.. (0/9)
